  • the guy likes JOURNEY!!!!

  • wow thats smart rev a cold engine

never run COLD veg oil in the motor you will gum everything up, including the piston rings, allowing vegoil to get into the engine oil thus redicing its lubricative properties to almost none.

  • @DamnStraightM35A2 I have seen this first hand. One customer brought in his 2000 jetta tdi that he had running off old deep fryer grease. Needless to say it quit running on him. We found that the lifters had been destroyed due to the deep fryer grease contaminating the engine oil. There were literally CHUNKS coming out of the oil pan. I will never forget this car because it was disgusting to work on and smelled like sour old grease! Not worth the effort, especially if you ruin your motor!

  • poor car on WVO :-(

  • The car's lifespan will INCREASE with WVO as it lubricates the moving parts unlike diesel #2! Converted Mercedes Benz diesel vehicles can go 500,000 PLUS!

  • @chemo38 I'd LOVE to see some real statistics on your claim. If your claim is true then why hasn't Mercedes even experimented with WVO? Don't give me conspiracy theories. k thanks

80% of the Mercedes in the Junkyards that I see have been "converted" to WVO

  • @p4olom You don't know Germans very well do you? It comes as no surprise as to why they don't don WVO conversions...they culture does not allow them to think outside of the box. The Mercedes Benz I personally have put in the junkyard are there because of traffic accidents or a blown cylinder head. The latter happened to a gray market 1987 W123 5 cylinder aluminum heads. My mechanic said the aluminum heads ALWAYS cause a clylinder "death". What proof do you want from me? An affidavit?

  • @chemo38: Their culture doesn't let them think outside of the box? Really? Funny bec. I've seen pictures and documentation that MB was experimenting with alternative fuel (Electricity) in the 70s and 80s when electric cars were almost unheard of. If German culture did not allow them to "think outside the box", as you say, then why is Germany the one of the largest exporters of German manufactured goods? Your claim is null and void.

  • Hey, i have a 1985 300SD.

the previous owner removed the radio, can i get an original radio somewhere?

  • The original raido was garbage anyway.

If you plan to keep the car, I'd get a new stereo.

  • is the smell really strong inside the car?

  • lol apart form your car smells of chips as its pulling away XD

  • 85 300D, my future lover.. how many miles are on yours? have you had any problems with it?

  • Metalik siva mecka 320 D ima da je kupim da se pale ribice,da drkaju klicu na kozno sediste i da svrsavaju na zadnje spojlere...

  • easily converted internet sites sell the conversion kits for about £400 they all come with full instructions and you only need very basic tools (a knife and a screwdriver is all i used) i now buy about 10 litres of diesel a year i get my wvo from my local chippie who pay me £5 per 45 gallon container cos it costs them 4 times as much to dispose of it all i do is filter it through old stockings what could be simpler enjoy

  • You don't need to convert. WVO can be blended and poured right into the cars tank. Google WVO blending.

  • At what ratio can you blend it? I'm sure you gotta filter the vege oil and what not... But can it be at a like... 1:4 ratio (diesel:vege)?

  • google WVO blend or WVO blending for details.

  • yeah mercedes

  • stinky

  • Esos acelerones en frio seguro que dejan el motor como nuevo.

  • Ok nice well i dont want to try to learn this over you tube comments, so do u have any usefull links i can check out for this stuff specific to my car? I should really google :P

  • before commenting like that, you have to consider that the old mercedes-benz diesels last a long time. and these w123s are the million mile cars. performance is nothing if the car wont even last

  • you are an ignorant retard.

I have a diesel and I'm never getting rid of it no matter what the fucking government says

  • lol dont bother to reply to that comment, t was obviously created fr nothing else but negetive

and ya man diesel merc's rock, i only have 147 on my 83 300d but i've seen 300's with over 300 and 500

  • put a diesel in your bike, it'l go faster :)

  • tahts pretty cool

  • sounds just like a diesel. is it biodiesel or SVO?

  • SVO

  • it's great driving for free. but have you heard congress and corporate America are already trying to charge for what McDonalds throws away every day! now that sucks!

  • how eas is to get this "svo" stuff? i've got an 83 300D

  • The oil is free any fast food restaurant will be more than happy to supply you with as much waste oil as you need as they have to currently pay to get rid of it. It's the "fermentation" process that takes a minute before the oil can be used as fuel and this is where companies will try to bilk you for the cash!

  • @singh336 send an email to chemo38@hotmail.com to learn more.

  • Don't worry...there are HUNDREDS of sources for WVO (waste vegetable oil). Check out Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vegetarian, Indian, Thai, etc. restaurants. They pay $1 a gallon to have WVO hauled away by commercial haulers.
