I think this was one of the mandated "Just Say No" episodes that producers of all network tv programs in 1980 were "required" to write at the behest of Nancy Reagan.

@rico305305 I wonder why Mr. Bradley didn't search Sue Anne handbag? Why he only search Blair's. I agree with Mrs. G though, he was invading their right to privacy going through the girls personal.
I guess that he felt that invading the girls' privacy over letting them get away with smoking dope was the lessor of two evils. It was a judgement call.
@Smartboy8877 I suppose you're right. But in some way, I still think it was an invasion of privacy. He could have Mrs. G do the searching. Pretty much like they do at the police station, male officers are not suppose to search females suspects, they call in a female officer to do that. Even on the street, if a female suspect has something illegal on them that's not visable, they can't search them, they cuff the female and wait until a female officer arrive to do the searching.
@charley1999 but he had to know, Mrs. G busted them all by telling about the girls in the group and she knew that both Blair and Sue Ann were both a member. So even if Mr. Bradley supposedly didn't know, Mrs. G did and she didn't bother to search Sue Ann after she searched Blair hang bag. :)
I love Blair's purse. Looks like a Coach. I had one just like it, but in black, about 30 years ago.
