This is from a time when music was still music. A melody, a harmony, thoughtful lyrics, and the magnificent voice of Peter Cetera to tell the story. It seems to me that music died December 31, 1989. All that's left now is pink noise, and over sampled rhythm from a C.G. drum machine. I'll stick with Chicago, thank you very much!
I had always heard the radio edit of this song, so imagine my surprise when I bought the album and heard that wonderful string section kick in at the end. My favorite Chicago album by a loooong shot.
This goes back to 1982 for me. I had my love of my life and this tune was her completely. I was 21 then. I am now 48 and she is no longer with me, thought she was gonna set the world on fire. Don't know if she did or not. I hear this and still miss her for what might have been. Miss her still, she was quite the gal. Hope she is well and thinks of me when she hears this as well. Thanks for listening gang........
Wow! Are you seriously playing a record? Dayum! My Dad had this album....snap! Awesome, didn't know those things still exist! Sounds good!!! Amazed....carry on!
Dude you rule, i was born in 1991 so i never witnessed its release but my most pleasant memory is of me and my dad Driving down the A64 past York to get to scarborough With this Blasting out when was like 5 and 6 years old, good times!
Ditto buddy... When i lived in Germany in my youth (about 10-11 years ago when i was 3 and 4, we'd be driving to Chicago... Those were the greatest times of my life!
Man, this reminds me of my old (and still around in my 'shop') Sansui 9090. Blasting my favorite tunes. This is my all time favorite Chicago song. I still to this day, love 'blasting' this one off my vinyl and my Sansui in my backyard shop. Thanks for the upload.
Awesome, this picture reminds me of my old dorm room. Especially since I went to college in 1982, had this album and brought my big stereo system with me.

Chicago more or less became to Cetera what the Doobs did to McDonald...their backup bands. Though it wasn't like Tom Petty @ the Hb's.

This great song reached #22 in 1982. Not one of their bigger hits, but definitely one of their 10 best!

I always preferred this song to Hard to Say I'm sorry. I'm surprised this song wasn't a bigger hit considering the success of Hard to Say I'm sorry.
