LSD is safer than alcohol. Magic Mushrooms are safer than alcohol. So many drugs are demonized because of propaganda.
I had respect for Dr. Paul. He is a Gentleman and presents himself with class & dignity. I lost that respect for Dr. Paul when I learned he, as an intern, watched a baby be cut from his/her mothers' belly, put in a bucket on the floor and put in a corner to die while they all watched. What prevented him from taking that LIVE, CRYING baby out of that trash can and walking a few steps over to the Intensive Care Unit and saving it? He's lost my respect.
Not saying this is a major reason, but one reason people do other drugs after marijuana is they get out of your system faster, thereby making it easier not to get "caught" a drug test.
Tell you what....if America supports Ron Paul in the next election and he becomes the next President, you're going to have a lot of "freedoms" returned to you...not just the weed thing. Who would have an interest in marginalising this guy as a serious candidate? He's brilliant and hardly got his previous campaign noticed...you guys must love "Bullshit"!! @alexafhal there are many recovered and current addicts, but i think we should look as it as the congressman does.. its not advocated , its a choice though.. if you get caught with any substance or become addicted you should be treated like a patient, NOT a CRIMINAL. And which would you prefer-- that your friend be in danger of going to jail for his habit, or that he'd feel safe going to clinics to help him get off of it, or even just to get a clean needle so he won't have to worry about HIV, hepatitis, and other diseases?
@alexafhal He might do that, and it's completely his right to put whatever he wants in his body. It's up to the Government to attempt to educate us about the harms of certain drugs. If he's going to go back to Heroin, he's going to go back, regardless of the law. If it's legal he can at least have clean needles, support and do it without conviction which would do more harm than good.
