  • We or them. always blame someone else. Fact of matter is both parties are to blame. Both destroying our country for special interests, for handouts to whoever lobbies hardest, for self destructive/self defeating foreign policy. Obama fights same 'war on terror' that he so criticized, is expanding war, with troop surge, spreading war to other countries. Dispite all his promise for change in foreign policy. Our children do have plenty to worry about, for mistakes obama continues both parties do

  • Tax breaks to Corporations & businesses are a necessity-for job growth. If you tax corporations & businesses they will move jobs to other countries! Job's aren't created by POOR people. As to the debt--Obama's administration has all ready surpassed the deficit of 3 previous administrations. The Presidents speech: Ugh, like this, ugh like that ....no solutions just more questions and double talk. XYZ.....

  • Why are the GOPs not questioning these tax cuts that were NOT paid for, given to big corporations/friends of Bush by the previous admin.

  • Hensarling, should have said; Mr. President, I know there is an answer in there somewhere!

  • sorry i have no answer, the marionettes have not put the proper stings in process

  • That's my congressman!

  • @walkbla99 I feel sad for you.

    He looks like and idiot.

  • This is what GW Bush added to the National Debt every year, even during the boom years when you're supposed to pay down debt:

FY20091885,10 Billion (1.4 Trillion is Bush's Budget/ Rest is Obama from Stimulus etc.)

    FY20081017,07 Billion

    FY2007500,68 Billion

    FY2006574,26

    FY2005553,66

    FY2004595,82

    FY2003555,00

    FY2002420,77

  • Different format:

    FY2009: 1885,10 Billion

    FY2008: 1017,07

    FY2007: 500,68

    FY2006: 574,26

    FY2005: 553,66

    FY2004: 595,82

    FY2003: 555,00

    FY2002: 420,77

  • Wasnt it Reagan that said the deficit is big enough to take care of itself? - No matter what Obama does he will be hated - not disliked or not agreed with - but hated - Screw em - its really not a matter of spending for these guys - its what Dems spend it on vs Rep - Rep are not getting their cut that's all

  • I love his body language, how 'beneath him' he thinks this whole thing is.

As for your fact check, Mr. President, here you are: accumulated deficit from Republican-controlled budgets from FY 1996-2007 = ~$1.246 trillion. Accumulated deficit from Democrat-controlled budgets FY 2008-2010 = $3.22 trillion. (source: Congressional Budget Office).

  • @brainiacgames So then you are attacking the President in 2010, but not recognizing who was President in 1996. Ummm, no - its clear YOU are part of the problem.

  • Presidents usually get the Budget they want, Congress haggles over details.

Hack. Republicans even completely shut down federal government in 1995 because Clinton vetoed the budget Republicans presented him. Clinton won that fight.

And nice trick only pointing to the annual deficit: the cost for the war was not included in the annual budget, it was paid for by "supplementals".

  • The facts are this:

GW Bush DOUBLED the National Debt.

Ronnie Reagan TRIPLED the National Debt.

10 TRILLION of the 12 in National Debt is thanks to Ronald Reagan, HW Bush and GW Bush.

    Thank you for playing
