Hi, I have a little problem. I have about 3 pretty bad pimples on my skin, the rest of it is pretty much clear. The only zits noticable are the 3 bad ones. Should I pop them?

@oGaLaCTiCo The best treatment is to schedule an appt w/a state board certified dermatologist who specializes in teenage acne. Both my daughters had problems w/acne from severely oily skin & hair just as I did at their age. There were few choices for acne for me but Retina-A did wonders for them. My doc recommended washing w/soap & water, then applying Listerine (It's an antiseptic) & for any open acne, I could apply Hydrogen Peroxide w/Q-Tip to help avoid infection of the skin. It worked great!
@oGaLaCTiCo Teens during puberty often deal w/overly-oily hair that requires washing the hair each morning b4 going to school to remove the oils even tho it returns as the day progresses. Now, there are Rx shampoos to alleviate this problem; hwr, the best treatment I had available was a shampoo that's no longer on the market called FOHO (For Oily Hair Only). Prior to this shampoo, my doc recommended mixing original Dawn dish-liquid into shampoo for oily hair every day to every other day.

Dollar or Dollar General stores sell cheap electric toothbrushes, liquid soap or bar strictly for use by teen for acne, Listerine Original, Cotton Balls, Hydrogen Peroxide, Q-Tips, LITE moisturizer. Apply extra warm cloth to face to open pores, use toothbrush w/soap to clean entire face esp forehead & nose area; rinse in warm then cold water b4 applying Listerine w/cotton balls; apply light moisturizer 2-3x day; peroxide QT for seeping acne spots.
@oGaLaCTiCo Cont'd: Peroxide applied w/Q-tips on seeping acne that breaks open helps remove any surface or open-pore infections. It's vital to wash hands thoroughly & preferably using a nail scrub brush so hands are clean b4 touching face. Avoid hands on face as much as possible. If wearing makeup, use hypoallergenic mineral makeup to reduce clogged pores. Add light moisturizer for oily skin below makeup & ALWAYS WASH OFF WELL EACH EVENING or B4 BED!
