  • This video is old, the largest eagles are the harpie eagle and the philippine eagle, both of them have thesame size but i prefer philippine eagle stronger.

  • @pidrowlist ha, how old do you think it is? 60 years old, this eagle is the heaviest.

  • that was a nice short movie and the eagle is beautiful! dangerous though but beautifully dangerous...? -_____-

  • every one knows the philippine eagle is the largest eagle on earth now

  • Actually in certain ways the Harpy eagle is bigger. Look it up. Apparently a Harpy has talons as big as a grizzly's claws and the talons are strong enough to break a monkey skull or an adult man's arm, it hunts monkies and sloths. I think there was another eagle also that was biggest in a way

  • @pokemta

The Steller's sea eagle is the heaviest living eagle averaging 15-20 lbs and the Philippine eagle is the largest in physical dimensions or size averaging a meter tall, 95-112 cm in length, longest legs and claws with the largest wing surface area. Harpy eagle is the bulkiest or lagest body mass in relation to its size.

  • its the russian big bird gang bang

  • 5 kittiwake birds survived and disliked

  • The Peregrine Falcon flight starting at 2:40 is the same as the eagle's

  • @skatertechdeck Great work out though. lol.

  • Haasts was the biggest eagle ever without comparrision....but because we wiped their prey and then them (they were killing people) But if it wasnt for that us new zealanders would have the worlds largest eagle! Fourtunatly for me we dont anymore....but it still makes me sad i would love to have seen this macnifaciant king! But it was way too deadly to live =(

  • In the video, he says it hunts like a falcon. If you look, there is actually a peregine falcon also diving at the birds - very visible actually.

  • @wayneandandrew Easy spotting from 2:40 min, hunting at the same time as the Steller. well done. :)

  • stellers r the heaviest but not the largest of eagles that title belongs 2 the harpy eagle and then in 2nd place the phillipene eagle and then finally in 3rd place the steller sea eagle.

  • Atlantic puffin "less spectacular" than tufted? No way, it's the only one with blue in the bill.

  • Comment removed

  • @McJohnster Nope: Steller's > Harpy > Bald. Steller's 1/3 Bald? I don't know where you got that from, but it's way off.

  • Comment removed

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • At 2:39, there's a Peregrine tailing the Steller's!

  • I'd hate to have like 1,000 friends flying around, watching me get dragged away by that Eagle, and doing nothing about it.... I'd be screaming as it takes me away... " YOU GUYS SUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkkkkkk....." lol

  • you cant even come up with a joke for the 2 people who dislike this video.

  • @Meethyee 2 people are Kittiwake birds.

  • British documentary is so unique and cool... and their accent just make the video better for some reason... I've been a big fan of BBC for a long time. I especially like the deep blue documentary

  • that eagle looks so cool

  • the birds look more like toucans

  • benfica

  • what the eagle and the falcon hunts together?????????????

  • @Ariolserifi i think the peregrine falcon uses the comotion the eagle causes as an oppertunity to grab a straggler or shocked bird

  • nice birds :)

  • @JAYEDWIN02 u really know ur eagls im not kidding u can be sum kind of raptor expert & thanx 4 the awerness but r u sure cause all my researsh has shown that the harpy is just slightly larger then the philipenes their is a posibilty that ther could b a specimen thats abnormally large like how some humans r supposed 2 b about 6ft tall but their have bin many cases were some humans r born larger then normaly & that could b the same case 4 a philipenes eagle specimen & vise versa 4 the harpy aswel

  • iitz only piplup!

  • the worlds largest "SEA EAGLE"not eagle it is an eagle but specificly a sea eagle the largest eagle in the world is the harpy eagle and 2nd witch is really close is the philipenes eagle

  • attenborough's understanding of this beautiful planet is without doubt his motivation for patronage of the optimum population trust. he, like jaques cousteau understands that a massive decrease in human population is necessary to protect the only known life in the universe. it is sad but true that the human race must face the fact that it is failing in the duty of custodians of the planet and we as a race must be purged in accordance with un agenda 21. we must embrace the new world order.

  • thumbs up if you saw a bird do an epic belly flop a 2:51 lol

  • someone needs to get their story straight. another youtube video claims the philippine monkey eating eagle is the world's largest. So, a lot of these videos are just telling stories to get your attention and subscriptions so they can send you ads to buy goods that will affect your wallet and your marriage, and your children and the nation and eventually the world.

  • Thanks for uploading! My favourite eagle, the Stellar's

  • So beautiful!!!!

    Thanks :-))

  • i thought philipine eagle was the worlds largets eagle

  • @MrPogiako101 That's the tallest eagle but not the longest wingspan or heaviest

  • Fast food at 3:19

  • the old peregrine flying with it looking for a sneaky snatch 2.40.

  • ARGH I wanna see what happened next!

  • As soon as an ad appears on someones video I TURN IT OFF.

  • What a BAMF

  • fuck you to dom and you or she just fuck you

  • who would win if a stellar's sea eagle and a phillipine ealgle fight? state the winner and tell me why

  • that was so cool

  • this is junk! delete this its crapp!

  • I love watching these kinds of video's. Thanks for uploading ^^

  • Stellar's is a beautiful and impressive bird.

Just to clarify, Stellar's is the largest based on average weight. The harpy eagle is right next to this, while possessing a shorter wingspan (for jungle flight), and larger talons. The Philippine eagle is the tallest eagle, but also has a shorter wingspan (for jungle flight as well).

While a little smaller, golden eagles possess boldness, speed, and tactics. It is because of this that they take down larger prey. Some can get to 8' across also.

  • And then he rips it to shreds, swallows it, digests it, and poops it out onto your car.

    Circle of Life.

  • Wonderful nature!!

  • wow that huge!!

  • the harpy eagle is the heaviest eagle with thte largest most powerful talons

  • @kokumaru not only is the the harpy eagle not the heaviest, the steller eagle is....the most powerful talons belong to the african crowned eagle...get your facts straight

  • @Shiv83 no-the harpy is the heaviest, on average and maximum weight recorded-the heaviest harpy eagle was 26lbs-a captive bird

and unless you can tell me exzactly how much force either eagle exerts in there talons then you really don't know what you're talking about...

I know about the crowned eagle and harpy eagle

get YOUR facts straight before you crack your face open

  • @kokumaru dude i'm talking about eagles in their natural habitat..not some over fed eagle that never got any space to exercise that you read about on wiki...i mean...seriously? Steller eagles on average are heavier..period..that's just common knowledge .....

  • @Shiv83 its so common that you defer to a david attenborough video as the defenitive source?

    really?

  • @kokumaru matter a fact i just checked again....and it doesn't matter what search engine you use you cant find one site that says the harpy is the heaviest....not one...the harpy is the heaviest in the new world (north and south america) not the world....

  • @Shiv83 gee..well if YOU can't find it....

    lol

  • @Shiv83 , Typed in "World's HEAVIEST EAGLE in my search box online.

    This is what showed up.

The Harpy Eagle may be the heaviest eagle in the world but certainly the Haring Ibon is the largest eagle in the world based on the documented measurements ...

  • @PantheraAtrox The Harpy Eagle, the Great Phillipines Eagle and the Stellars Sea Eagle run at about an even tie when it comes to wingspan and body length. So looking at it realistically they are all three the largest eagles in the world.

  • @PantheraAtrox Steller's Sea Eagles are biggest in bulk and weight, The male harpy is only around 11 pounds , the female is up to 18 or 20 lbs. The male Stellers is 13 -15 and the female is 20 lbs. The philippine is tallest and around 17 lbs.

So The Steller's is the biggest in total weight, though may not be as powerful as the Harpy is certian areas.

  • @XXXJacka1XXX , true, hey thx 4 the reply.

  • @Shiv83 you are correct the Steller Sea Eagle is the heaviest but this is what Wikipedia had to say..

The Steller's Sea Eagle, Haliaeetus pelagicus,[2] is a large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. It lives in coastal northeastern Asia and mainly preys on fish. It is, on average, the heaviest eagle in the world, at about 4.9 to 9 kilograms (11 to 20 lb; 0.77 to 1.4 st), but often lags behind the Harpy Eagle and Philippine Eagle in other measurements.[3]

  • @kokumaru Dave Attenborough himself says "the world's largest eagle" @ 1:55...and he referred to them as "the sumo wrestlers of the eagle world" in another documentary that i own..lemme guess you know more than him? ....a man Knighted by the queen for over 40 years of accurate journalism?? You're probably some kid who will respond to this with name calling i can already see it coming.

  • @Shiv83 @Shiv83 @Shiv83 I don't care what David attenborough says. There are plenty of ornithologist who KNOW the harpy is the largest.

What does being knighted by "the queen" have to do with anything? Is she the worlds foremost expert on raptors???

  • @kokumaru like i said...find me one site....just one...that says it is the Harpy is the heaviest....even wiki says the Steller Eagle is the heaviest...find me one site...you cant ....the harpy is the heaviest in the new world.....not the whole world....and i'm done

  • @Shiv83 yeahokay-Iv'e read the wiki articles years ago....ummm Wiki says that they grow to the exzact same maximum weight of 20lbs

it also say the stellar is lacking in other measurements exceeded by the Harpy...

so-in short the harpy still is the worlds largest eagle when all factors are included....isn't it?

  • @kokumaru i know your type...the type that are never wrong about anything...good luck in life....i'm done this is pointless...

  • @Shiv83 I also know "your type"; one who hears something and runs with it before cross referencing it with other sources...

next time research something in depth before attemting to correct others....

Pointless? you started this, so what does that say about you?

  • @Shiv83 Just as I though-your second hand knowledge is full of wholes and you can't even mount an intelligent defense...

don't assume everyone is as ignorant as yourself....and don't try to make yourself out to be some expert b/c you watch one youtube video

I watch many documentaries on wild life and many "experts" make errors all the time...

    I

  • @kokumaru harpy is a bird of prey and not a eagle...Yes the harpy is the heaviest one rapine.

  • @marcelobtp well if you say that, you need to say also that the stellers sea eagle is not an eagle, because its just a sea eagle(which are btw closer related to kites, than to any eagles) and the harpy is just a tropical forest eagle...the "true eagles" as they are called are just the members of the genus aquila, like golden eagles or verraux eagles, which by the way would be the largest eagle if you have that point of viev

  • @ptango666 yeah i agree with you.

  • @marcelobtp thank you, this is an unusual response in youtube

  • @marcelobtp an eagle is a bird of prey

  • @kokumaru Nobody said it was not. But if didn't understood not every bird of prey is a eagle, but every eagle is a bird of prey.

  • @marcelobtp Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh

  • @kokumaru Tu é burro pacaralho hein maluco...

vai dps ficar procurando q nem um imbecil uq eu falei, aposto q nao tem nem doze anos de idade, mongoloide.

  • Haliaeetus for the win!

  • it is so elegant

  • I see an osprey at the minute 2:41-2:42 mark. He dives the same time as the eagle.

  • that was a peregrine falcon actually-nice catch btw

  • "Coordinated panic among the kittiwakes confuses their attacker." How is surrounding me with a globe of food supposed to prevent me finding the food?

  • awesome

  • nice hairs ;D

  • their own fault for looking so crappy. i'd like to kill them too

  • i hope to see the stellr's sea eagle and the philippine eagle together in the wild... both are the largest!!!!

  • i had no idea this huge sea eagle existed! the golden eagle is a humming bird compared to this sea eagle!

  • Wonderful !

  • Nature filmmakers who do footage for Blue Planet or Nat Geo know what they're doing. They can hang out and have the best gear money can buy high, the nesting birds have no natural fear of man out there so it's easy to get nesting ground footage. Natural lighting provided by the SUN...you might have to wait for perfect clear days. The Eagles have to eat, so it would not be hard to figure their hunting habits out, like how they approach the smaller nesting birds...and kung fu them as you say.

  • I'm not a film maker and I could figure it out in about a day, chances are that these Sea Eagles hunt in the most efficient manner possible. Takes a lot of energy to haul their big asses around in the air. They want food. A good video crew would setup where the buffet is and let nature take it's course. These Eagles kill other birds for a living, they have a very good system down. They would hunt in the same places.

  • not at al!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how? is there some fad out there calling everything fake or something?
