  • the begginning is around the corner from where i live...holy fuck!

  • @jennylover456 Then I just drove past you about an hour ago, I went up to Wendy's to get a burger.

  • @KevinR38 cool, go get me one :P

  • Brings back good memories. :) Can't wait to come back in the summer.

  • Holy Crap. It's so many trees there.

  • @InsanePolkaDots That's one of the things I like about this area. Less concrete and asphalt also helps make it cooler in the summer.

  • @KevinR38 Heard you guys had a 5.9 earthquake? Whoa. (:

  • @InsanePolkaDots Yeah, the building I was in rumbled and was swaying back and forth for about 30 or so seconds.

  • Is this a good place? I'm going to US soon and I'm going to live with my dad there, which is in Chesapeake

  • @attackman456 I like it but like any place in the world it all depends on where you are. Do you know where in Chesapeake you'll be living? I moved here from the Washington D.C. area and this area is much nicer. Close to the Beach, not a lot of crime and good weather.

I have a little more video I can upload if you're interested.

  • @KevinR38 close to the beach is alright enough for me and no, not yet but I'll ask my dad where tho

  • @attackman456 This video was taken while driving on Mt. Plesant Road, if you stay on this road and don't turn off anywhere it will take you right to the beach. From where this video starts it's about a 15 to 20 minute drive to get to the beach.

What country are you coming from?

  • @KevinR38 oh I see..this road looks lovely...well, better than the roads here...oh I'm from The Philippines btw

  • @attackman456 yea it is low crime unlike norfolk (about 30 miles up) and its pretty peaceful.

  • Pegged the speedometer first time ever on mt pleasant:)

  • I love in Chesapeake now and I'll tell you for a fact, do not move here, it is the most boring city ever, and your kids will start doing drugs so they have something to so

  • Hello I'm french, if someone lives in Chesapeake I know who lives at 1404 Chesapeake Ave, Chesapeake, VA 23324. My grandfather is american and I found a letter he wrote to his son (my father) disappointed with this address. If he still lives at this address is Edward m.OVERTON.

I would really like to know if he lives there or if he is still alive because I've never seen. THANK YOU.

MERCI D'AVANCE.

  • I used to take that way to the oceanfront. Nice scenic drive and puts you right on the beach at 1st street.

  • @TheSoundboardGuy Yep, straight shot to the oceanfront. Maybe a 15 or 20 minute drive from there.

  • Thinking about moving the family there. Any input?

  • @TrojanSkin82 I've been here since 1990 and wouldn't want to live any other place. To me, it's a great place to live.

  • oh my gosh! i use to live in chesapeake and this video brings back great memories.

  • At 2:50 thats my neighborhood (:

  • @VApaintballerx I remember when that neighborhood didn't exist yet. It's only been there for 5 or 6 years or so.

  • @KevinR38 yeah , lemme think moved there when i was 5 , so 12 -5=7 ! so 7 years ahha.

  • @VApaintballerx The empty field on the right at 1:26 (behind the little Christian school) used to be a big, old house. In 2003 when hurricane Isabel hit us it sent a big old tree right through the middle of the house splitting it in half, it literally cut the house in half. It looks like someone has plowed it and maybe planted something there now.

I remember when they built your neighborhood, I went through some of the model houses to see how they were making them. Nice neighborhood.

  • @KevinR38 i think u mean 2:26 aha, and its still there it got rebuilt , and yeah i know it happened the first year i lived here i was one of the first people in this neighborhood i lived in a ghetto neighborhood in virginia beach and my mom said she didnt want me to go to whatever school it was , and she wanted me to go to hickory so thats where im at haha

  • @VApaintballerx For some reason when I clicked on the 2:50 from your first post it took me to the point around 1:26. That's the new neighborhood. I see that 2:50 is closer to Bergys and further down the road than I thought you were talking about. The house I'm talking about was torn down completely and used to be at the 1:26 mark of the video.

So you're closer to Bergys than you are to Butts Road Elementary school.

  • @KevinR38 Idk no im closer to BRI i went there last year . but okay , maybe were thinking of the wrong house idk .

  • I came to Chesapeake on vacation 5 times between 2002 and 2005 from the UK...Very nice place, and i found the people to be very friendly. Made me feel very welcome. I think they found my accent a bit strange though...lol

  • I <3 living in Chesapeake, been here my whole life. Love the video.....just drive :)

  • Started out near corner of Centerville Turnpike and Mt. Pleasant Road.

  • Where the HOES at

  • Ahhhh Good driving? Sounds like U need a radio up grade?!? The sound was broken.

  • That's not the radio, that's the YouTube stream breaking up the audio portion of the video. That said, the radio is just a standard radio that came with the car, it serves it's purpose. I'd never pay more for a radio though.

  • roger

  • Born in Wyoming but have lived in Chesapeake for 12 years... I disagree with the person below me, I love city life so I am glad for all the development and as far as the traffic goes, oh well!, if you hate it move to the country!

  • born in chesapeakr but it went to shit with all the development and now even rural roads........traffic..........

  • I wanna go home to Tidewater but I know it is

so very true "You can never go home again."

  • hey I live by there, but in Suffolk.you need to put on hip-hop,not country music

  • I'm a classic rock and country fan. Nothing else.

  • mt pleasant to fentress to blackwater, listening to the eagle.

  • i live there!
