Question. Would I be able to run these 12 inch 1000W EV's on a Honda EU2000i generator? The generator has 2000 watt peak output and 1600 watts continuous power output. I think it's kinda doubtful... BUT! What if I didn't turn the volume of the speakers up all the way? maybe at like 50% level? would that mean that the speakers would operate at 500 w each? These speakers are just perfect for taking them outside, that's why I ask.

Very cool! Regarding SPL output of these versus the Mackie 450's, the 450's are turning out 127db versus these which are 132db. These are in an entirely different ball park. Some speakers may sound louder due to harshness. Clean sounding speakers are very deceiving since they may sound like they aren't pushing as high... but they are. I wouldn't mind a couple of these and the new subs to go along with them... very cool!

The Ev looks great .. no way are theses 1000watts no way !!!!!! I bought these thinking ok same price as the mackie v2 450s . The mackies are louder and much better for the same price sorry

they seem great too but i think when qsc made the k series with all those inputs in the back the other companies had copied their technology ideas like RCA inputs and stuff. but anyways they seem good but as Dj Rick i am a QSC fan till death.

Hey AGIPRODJ team please can you post a comp with the Ev vs QSC vs PRX and how do they perform on a gig does the fact that there is heat shield in the back (they are liquid cooled) will they overheat if they are run for 6 or 7 hours during a gig. i'm looking to perchase a set of tops in a week or so i would love to see your review and comp. on these tops keep up your great work we love these reviews
