I didnt call him Jackso, I called him Jacko, a name which has been used for him for years. Again,I will point out, he was not the front man of a band. Granted there was a band used but he was never the actual front man for them. This is why he was Michael Jackson and Queen were Queen and not called Freddie Mercury. I've been listening to this a few times now and I wouldn't say that this is a disappointing performance. Yes, he sounds a bit out of breath, some notes are off and he seems to struggle at some points of the song. Would've thought that this is due to the poor mix at festivals.

I'm only just beginning to discover the beauty of Keane, but as a newbie I have to say the performance doesn't sound bad at all. Considering it's an open air show, and Tom's likely been running up and down the stage for a while (judging by the sweat on his brow). And with all the high notes it's definately not their easiest song either!

i absoutely love keane ... i dont think his voice was off at all. i mean he was sweating so much, running around, did so namy songs before that and later sang such a difficult so song so beautifully ... its simply wonderful to hear Tom's voice.

He sings beyond his natural range. Unfortunately this means he will continue to deteriorate as he strains his voice. He sounds fantastic in the studio, but that's after months of takes and resting. When you are at a Keane concert you don't notice, but when you are watching it on a poorly mixed video like this you notice these things.

No body asked me. That's the beauty, hahaha. You have every right to like a low quality live show (because is live, haha). I also have the right to demand a high quality performance from an artist that is "selling" their performance to me. I wouldn't make a rude comment if I didn't like the band. I LOVE the band and I want them to be better, if they can. I think is part of supporting a band to be honest with their work, at least some times. Keane rules!

I think the vocal quality is too low, compared to the record, at least in this song. This is a very difficult song, but at Keane's level of fame, they should have taken care a little bit more in keeping the high quality of their vocal work. They have the talent. The singer just have to slow down the running, make his show with some vocal breaks (to keep his voice) and let his incredible voice do the magic.

i honestly dont see what people are complaining about. i didnt think his voice was THAT off and this performance doesnt disappoint me as much as it seems to disappoint you guys. most of his notes were pretty good, and he just seemed really tired to me.

you try running around and singing and tell me how good your performance is.

I agree. The mix on this song is not particularly good, specially noticeable during the scales of the intro, where Richards voice is the more audible. Still much better than most bands live. As for the running around, it's very much indispensable when playing to large crowds.

This is just poor mixing and maybe some road fatigue. Watch some other live performances, and you'll see that he can handle himself live as well as in the studio.
