New cartoons suck in comparison to some of the old disney classics. That includes the Disney newbies, what few there are, and certainly beats the pants off of any live action stuff they have. I'd almost wish they'd keep making disney/chip n' dale/donald stuff, if I didn't know current animators would have no clue what they were doing with it.

Can someone please explain to me why these cartoons are not on today? I want an explanation. All these cartoons from the 30's to the 60's were the best ever. Why can't they have just one channel where they play old cartoons? I hate every new cartoon. I hate the characters, I hate the animation. I hate the sound, and the story line. All cartoons nowadays are feminine, no masculinity whatsoever. Cartoons back in the day were both and they had so much creativity and imagination.

Because they might need to pay royalties, because the cartoons themselves might possibly teach different values (For instance there's a cartoon about how its stupid to quit smoking) Or there could be possibly racial and sexist imagery. Actualy there is a channel that only showcases olden cartoons, recently, as an unfortinatly lack of money, had to add commerchals. But back to the point, it plays almost every olden day cartoon. The chanel name is Boomarang. I only know it via dish network : ch. 175

@BTllfrd ... answer is very simple... cartoons in the 30's to 50'sat least had a much much larger budget than todays 'one a week' etc cartoons.. they had composed music, a lot of prep time for jokes, high animation budget, hell high budget overall.. why? because unlike real movies back then, which were black and white, cartoons were in color. and they were shown in theaters. What we have today, are cartoons made mostly by a few people on tablets and computers, using stock sounds.. ofc they suck
