  • Thanks for the post I'm gonna try some of them, your a beautiful well spoken young lady, I feel that song didn't fit you, your more classy.

  • Ahhh. . .dream products! I like the Miss Jessie's Meringue too. I hope the BOGO starts during Black Friday!

  • Funny! I thought that I was the only FANATIC about this natural hair journey! I have intensley researched, watched countless videos and sadly I have become a Natural & organic "PRODUCT JUNKIE" spending over $400 in trying products in less then 4weeks. (SMH) I have finally found my staple products! Shea Moisture line for Shampoo's, deep conditioners, Co-washing & leave in. For styling I love knot today & Kinky Curly Curling Custard,

  • I'm glad you found your staples, it took me 6 months and that was after I had been natural for over 1 year. I loved and hated being a product junkie, but now that I have so many different items that work for me, I dont have to buy products for almos t2 years. At least you had insight on what to get, most naturals play it by ear and thats why we tend to be product junkies. ONE LOVE MAMA

  • @BlkCoffi Thanks for commenting. It's been awhile since making this video, but I'm finally set on products. I'll try something new every now and then, but pretty much stick with the same things. I think everyone has to go through their time where they have to figure out what's what. It's part of the journey. Thanks for commenting.

  • YOUR SOOO BEAUTIFUL MAMA! (: iM ALSO NATURAL 3 monthsn sum changes lolz and im LUVIN THE JOURNEY!! I STILL HAVE A TWA BC i Bshaved lols becos my hair was damaged from hair bleach, dye, and relazer my hair is coo curly strong and softer healthy and growing now !!! Best decision to make for your hair black gurlz (:

  • @LovePurrrpleLilac Glad to hear it. Many blessings to you.

  • your hair is so beautiful...

  • Thanks for commenting. My hair has grown quite a bit since this vid. I currently use Eco Styler Olive styling gel for curl def, but have been doing twistouts with Organic Root Stimulator Twist and Lock Gel in feb.

  • Nice video, lovely hair. You remind me of myself. I read and research almost every thing that has to do with hair.

  • i use 100% shea butter to keep the moisture in the hair. Aloe vera gel for the same thing and define curls. Kantu is not it doest have but tiny lil amount of shea butter it is mostly other chemical. I have been in hair and hair products for 10yrs. any question about any products and i can tell u about them...i will never sugar it ..

  • A pretty smile helps a short cut, which u have.

  • Oh, you're so sweet. Thanks so much! Stay blessed.

  • Congrats on being natural. You are going to have so much fun with your hair.

  • I'm having a blast. It's been 5 months and I feel like it was yesterday. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Thanks for the info. Stay blessed.

  • I wrote down your dream list as well so i can research the products because like you said in your first video I want to keep it simple. But why Miss Jessie's? I tried the curly meringue and washed it right out- it leaves your hair hard and dry.

  • Miss Jessies was recommended by a good friend who's also natural. I never did purchase it or try it. I decided to get all OTC products. I was a product junkie for a minute, but have found what I like and am sticking with it. How long have you been natural? I'm still very much a newbie. Stay Blessed.

  • i really haven't had a perm since April of 08 but i have been wearing micros which have been havoc on my edges. I have soft fine hair. I had a big afro but when i would just let it air dry my curl would draw up so tight i hated it because I didn't want it that short. Now im just gonna let it be. I finally clipped all the perm off the ends and am trying to get my natural curl definition. My cousin recommended the IC gel w/ aloe and Next Image curl defining conditioner and detangler.

  • Are you going to make videos? I LOVE seeing everyone else's hair and following their journeys. It took me some time to find what I was going to use, but I found what I like. Everyone's hair is so different. My mom had thin, fine hair and I got some of it. We've gotta learn to love what we've got, huh? Hope that you find the right products for your hair.

  • I like MJs but I use Curly Pudding and Curly Buttercream. The downside is flakes!

  • if your looking for a healthy look pls don't use miss jessie's they use mineral oil they may not use it in all there products i suggest you read there products very well. if your looking for something cheap and nice use abba and then keep those curls with AG'S help they got a curl activator

  • I appreciate the feedback. I've been using Abba (once a week) and Giovanni products with IC Fantasia Gel for curl definition. It's been working well. Stay Blessed.

  • Make sue you decide how much you want to spend on products...major products needed shea butter, tea tree oil... and olive oil a good leave in conditioer...a curl actervator which is good for moisture. Watch the protein too much can make your hair hard. My price point is 50.00 because you cn really go nuts buying products.

  • Learned the hard way and now backtracking....I'm figuring it out, though. Thanks for the info and encouragement. Stay Blessed.

  • i recently did my big chop, and I only use my computer to look at hair blog, product and videos

  • It can get addicting, can't it. I spend lots of time doing it as well. Good luck with your journey. It's fun and lots of trial and error. Stay encouraged.

  • You should try the aloe vera gel and a oil (jojoba, olive, grapeseed, etc.) together and put it on your hair. That is what I use since my hair dries out so quickly...

  • Thanks so much for the reply. I have some Aloe Vera gel and didn't really know what to do with it. I just might try this. Take Care.

  • Hi Miscellaneousable, I recently cut all of my hair off as well. I'm a lot older than u & cut it becuz I have 2 take a lot of meds. I'm experiencing a lot of dryness, any recommendations? BTW I think you look great. Maybe I will get a webcam & share my natural hair journey. Maybe I can get some feedback on if I should put some color in it...I have a lot of gray in my twa...lol...I'm so excited!

  • Please share with us. The more the merrier. I like the diversity. For the dryness, I'd recommend a few things to try. You don't have to try them all. 1) Water/veggie glycerine. Start with 1/2 and 1/2 and then adjust the formula as needed. 2) Raw, unrefined Shea Butter. Just rub it together in your hands until it becomes clear and then work it into your hair. 3) Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner. It's inexpensive and works well for me. Let me know how it goes!!!! Good Luck

  • hair looks great and I love that you made a video about your "dream team", I have 2 myself, The things that I want as I transition and then the things I can't wait to try when I BC.

  • Yeah, unfortunately most of the products had to be ordered and I really don't want to order anything else. Thanks for commenting. We'll all figure this thing out together.

  • Yes, I hate ordering because I want my stuff NOW! I will have to order some things like the Oyin Handmade and Komaza hair care products. I am not going to encourage you to order but I did find a site called Vitacost, they have great things for cheaper than retail.

  • your twa looks great on u!

  • Thanks so much. I appreciate it. While I'm lovin' it, I want growth, though so we'll see. God Bless.
