She didn't win the competition in her homeland and it's not understood from what I have heard and read. She is a overnight sensation and will go on to be one of the hottest stars, like Streisand. She will make a beautiful life for herself and her mother she lost will be so proud. Her voice is one that comes from the soul, you're so very right. She has a CD out and it's beautiful. She gives herself to every song. I cry everytime I hear her sing. I'm so moved by her.

if you listen to the intro you will hear that she is a "scot" that means she is from Scotland. Alas she is not irish, but we don;t mind claiming her as our own too, because their is such strong ties between the irish and the scottish and she has frequently sang at Knock Shrine, in iRELAND. A shrine where the blessed virgin appeared to three people, so she is catholic also i think? Maybe you can visit Scotland and Ireland. But you better get used to the accent as your going to hear it alot!!!!
