  • thanks for

    the

    movie !

  • I love how they distort the background during the bookstore scene

  • NICE MOVIE

  • The subtitles are off but at least they're there to give an idea of what they're saying :)))

  • @jesse... etc. The guy orders 'un café crème, verre'. Why..? because he's in a bit of a rush and wants to drink it quick and not burn his mouth. Hot coffee cools off much quicker in a glass than in a regular cup did ya know..? And wonders of wonders, the bartender speaks Franch and brings his coffee in a glass. Rather unusual, no...? Maybe the bartender's command of the French language is a bit better than yours, hmm...? Now just relax, and have a Bosnian rainbow colored coffee on me :-)

  • Godard's best film.

  • Nothing to do with 'green' coffee.. What are you guys thinking..?? He says 'un café crême, verre'. And that's what he gets: regular coffee in a glass.. :-O

  • love the subtitles... i'll take my drums and beat it? hahaha

  • subtitles are slightly wrong.

  • whats with the drops in the audio track...

  • @slack3rdude to keep the audience engaged and active, a big trait in french new wave cinema.

  • A coffee green?

Is that a mistranslation or a French drink from the 60s?

  • @jimbojamesIV No he really says that. Althought I have no idea of what it could mean.

  • @jessieintheskywith Oh I knew that! But being French myself, I was just telling him that green coffee didn't exist in France either!

  • @foutupourfoutu

heh well, i still want some of that green coffee. if you add milk to just the right amt. it does have a green tint. brilliant.

  • @foutupourfoutu French.. but probably not from Paris 'intra muros'.. Or maybe you don't spend enough time at the 'troquet du coin'..??

  • @jessieintheskywith I assumed it was a difference in the use of certain words in languages. In Bosnian for example, cats of a greyish colour are referred to as "green". But it probably is a joke as you said, because of the way Anna looks at the man when he says that.

  • @xXPinkGoddessXx Dunno about that.. but look what he's drinking his coffee out of.. it's a glass..! Verre.. not vert..Simple, no...?

  • @jessieintheskywith Yeah.. right.. see above for a straightforward explanation..

  • @salmig99 All of your replies to people on here are pretentious and "ahem, please, I know more than you on this subject dahling". Jeez let people enjoy the movie without judging them

  • What does it mean for a coffee to be very white or green?

  • i keep looking for this film. where to download??? D:

  • Suis-je le seul à trouver ce film insupportable ? C'est pas parce qu'on fait du grand n'importe quoi que c'est de l'art!

  • Such a great movie, im dying to know what song is playing in the beginning.

  • Song by Charles Aznavour, TU TE LAISSES ALLER (meaning: you let yourself go)

  • @JRamb09 Do you mean Charles Aznavour singing 'Tu te laisses aller'..?

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • Tx for sharing.
