I think Eve or Ultimate Being can easily beat Aya to death physically if she doesn't use any gun to fight back. Because they have much stronger mitochondrial power.
But on cellular level, Aya's mitochondria is more superior when it comes to ability to gain control of the cellular system. That's why Eve couldn't take over Aya's body and UB's ability to evolve can be stopped completely.
Technically, is this ending to supposed to occur after the Eve and Ultimate Being are destroyed?? Especially since you can go to Chrysler at almost anytime during an EX Game. Anyway, lolDebugSMG.

Beautiful ending...probably one of the best endings to a game I've ever seen. I never could tackle the chrysler building because I kept getting mauled to death. But that was my own mistake because I didn't level enough.
uh... just to rip a little question... im using ePSXe emulator and PE1... but when the first credits end the game freezes. how can i play EX mode in ePSXe? do i need a patch of some sort or just because my computer is medium end...

@mistamontiel eboot means the one that will work on psp and.... i dont use any software to run my games in ePSXe.... though its just an iso file so its not need any tool like you use....... so it occures to me that if parasite eve 2 have ptf file(a file that fixes iso image redundant codes) thats why its working perfectly in ePSXe.... maybe its is the solution....

i never realised about this ending else i would of done it, seen as i have completed the normal ending about 4-5 times lol. In a way im glad i didnt this ending was quite poor and odviously not the main ending because of how they went with pe2.

I've played the sequel, and if you go by this "true" ending, the sequel would make no sense. In PE2 it states she willingly sealed up her powers.
Also, if you go by this ending, Mellisa-Eve is still out there, and would give birth to the Ultimate Being with no problems because Aya lost her powers fighting Maya-Eve.

Well, with cinematics like this, you need a huge team, and probably another team to manage each individual section of the scenes, such as lighting, hair, water, the whole works. I'm guessing the CG of the battleship escape needed at least 3 teams to fully develop. I'm sure there was also teams for cloth physics and the like. For quality like this, you need people and money--both of which Square had.
i barely found out about this secret ending and i thank you, but even though i still hav the game i put it away cause DAM had one hell of a tough time beating it lol. now im thimkin of gettin PE2. AWESOME GAME though.

That was a cool ending =) A happy ending. It is weird that maya is still alive when she died in the car accident. Maybe eve was controlling her body and she survived under eve. When eve lost consciousness, Maya then takes control of her own surviving body. In other words, eve maybe had helped Maya survive, in bad way but when eve dies, maya body still lives on...
Thank you very much for posting these videos. I played this game when it was first released and made it the 77th floor and only fought the end boss once. After that, my memory card got erased and I only made it to the 40th or so floor before I decided to not finish it again. It was nice to finally see the ending I should have gotten. Thanks again.
The game is based upon the novel "parasite eve" by a Japanese novelist Hideaki Sena. Actually this man has a masters degree in pharmacy and studied mainly about mitochondria. Now he's a professor for engineer at tohoku university. Pretty much this story can be real than a fiction.
some of you appearently dont get it. this ending is way better than the one you get in th other one. he dead sisters body was taken over and forced her to fight aya. then after being defeated eve for the 3rd time tunrs the tables on aya. useing the battle to awaken the eve in aya. but eve doesnt succed because maya comes to her sisters rescue and fights off eve and supresses her. aya then realizes she never lost her sister. that her sister was fighting along with her the whole time.

You're right. That is the whole point of meaning at the end of the game's intro. "The worst foe lies within the self." It all comes together. In terms of eve wanting to be awaken within aya's body.

I once owned this game a LONG time ago. Plot was nice if you were willing to excuse the pseudoscience it employs. (one of the drawbacks of having actually paid attention in science class ^^)
I have to say, the battle system was frustrating and unfair much of the time. Not my fave game as far as gameplay went.
It took me a bit to finally pick up this game and play it. Man the memories.
I never got to the 77th floor and seeing this ending makes me a little sad (I do like it don't get me wrong). Imagine fighting your dead sister you haven't seen in years. I just think the idea of Aya fighting her sister/Eve and to have her sister finally laid to rest makes the ending worth while and emotional at IMO. Thanks for posting the ending. Loved it.
and to those of you that say is "bad" or "crappy" and other such names, go play through the game READING THE STORYLINE, and then you can see how that ending is a great edition to the story of a really great game.
this was a great ending for a really great storyline, even if it might not have been good as the real ending when you kill eve and the ultimate being, which leads the story to PE2, but it had its own reward for whoever (including myself) that went through the 77 floors of that long ass crysler building and beat the purebreed eve (which isnt as easy as this vid when your not lvl99, which makes it alot more of a challenging battle, and that makes it fun :P)...
Thanx for uploading...I played and beat this game when it first came out back in ..well I want to say 1999 or 1998 (cant remember) anywho, I tried to get the alternate ending, but got bored halfway through the Chrysler building. Im glad you went ahead and did it...I wouldve been sooo pissed , seeing I expected a seriously awesome animation sequence...like when that rat transformed in the begining.

THis ending sucks....ALL of the animated scenes they did were great and done well, but this one....it does too many things... the way i see it as a (alternate ending) they dont lead to there being a part 2. Maya got rid of eve when she tried to interfere with Ayas body. Remember the cornea transplant aya got from maya before she died? thats how maya became a part of her sister and destroyed eve before she took full control.
If you have'nt played the game fully of course your not gonna understand and if you did play the game you probably did'nt pay attention to the story in the first place. The conversation is basically Maya(Ayas Sister) resisting Eves full control to become the ultimate purebreed. Ok so it is confusing, play the game you'll get it.
The ending was a little weird, anyways I want to play this game (I Only played the 2, couldnt find the 1), still it is awesome, I'm going to play the 2 again today and i fell excited, last time I played it was 7 years ago ^^U

i barely found out about this secret ending and i thank you, but even though i still hav the game i put it away cause DAM had one hell of a tough time beating it lol. now im thimkin of gettin PE2. AWESOME GAME though.

That was a cool ending =) A happy ending. It is weird that maya is still alive when she died in the car accident. Maybe eve was controlling her body and she survived under eve. When eve lost consciousness, Maya then takes control of her own surviving body. In other words, eve maybe had helped Maya survive, in bad way but when eve dies, maya body still lives on...

Thank you very much for posting these videos. I played this game when it was first released and made it the 77th floor and only fought the end boss once. After that, my memory card got erased and I only made it to the 40th or so floor before I decided to not finish it again. It was nice to finally see the ending I should have gotten. Thanks again.

The game is based upon the novel "parasite eve" by a Japanese novelist Hideaki Sena. Actually this man has a masters degree in pharmacy and studied mainly about mitochondria. Now he's a professor for engineer at tohoku university. Pretty much this story can be real than a fiction.

some of you appearently dont get it. this ending is way better than the one you get in th other one. he dead sisters body was taken over and forced her to fight aya. then after being defeated eve for the 3rd time tunrs the tables on aya. useing the battle to awaken the eve in aya. but eve doesnt succed because maya comes to her sisters rescue and fights off eve and supresses her. aya then realizes she never lost her sister. that her sister was fighting along with her the whole time.

You're right. That is the whole point of meaning at the end of the game's intro. "The worst foe lies within the self." It all comes together. In terms of eve wanting to be awaken within aya's body.

I once owned this game a LONG time ago. Plot was nice if you were willing to excuse the pseudoscience it employs. (one of the drawbacks of having actually paid attention in science class ^^)
I have to say, the battle system was frustrating and unfair much of the time. Not my fave game as far as gameplay went.

It took me a bit to finally pick up this game and play it. Man the memories.
I never got to the 77th floor and seeing this ending makes me a little sad (I do like it don't get me wrong). Imagine fighting your dead sister you haven't seen in years. I just think the idea of Aya fighting her sister/Eve and to have her sister finally laid to rest makes the ending worth while and emotional at IMO. Thanks for posting the ending. Loved it.

this was a great ending for a really great storyline, even if it might not have been good as the real ending when you kill eve and the ultimate being, which leads the story to PE2, but it had its own reward for whoever (including myself) that went through the 77 floors of that long ass crysler building and beat the purebreed eve (which isnt as easy as this vid when your not lvl99, which makes it alot more of a challenging battle, and that makes it fun :P)...

Thanx for uploading...I played and beat this game when it first came out back in ..well I want to say 1999 or 1998 (cant remember) anywho, I tried to get the alternate ending, but got bored halfway through the Chrysler building. Im glad you went ahead and did it...I wouldve been sooo pissed , seeing I expected a seriously awesome animation sequence...like when that rat transformed in the begining.

THis ending sucks....ALL of the animated scenes they did were great and done well, but this one....it does too many things... the way i see it as a (alternate ending) they dont lead to there being a part 2. Plus to be honest, I re-read the conversation between them and it doesnt make to much sense...basically eve is still in maya and goes unconcious? o.O or what.

Maya got rid of eve when she tried to interfere with Ayas body. Remember the cornea transplant aya got from maya before she died? thats how maya became a part of her sister and destroyed eve before she took full control.

If you have'nt played the game fully of course your not gonna understand and if you did play the game you probably did'nt pay attention to the story in the first place. The conversation is basically Maya(Ayas Sister) resisting Eves full control to become the ultimate purebreed. Ok so it is confusing, play the game you'll get it.
