I think healthcare should come 1st. Gay rights will need to come from congress and a congressman has nearly 200 backers for this legislation. unless, there is a tipping point between the congress and states supporting states that will push him to act. I think he will sign legislation, but you are correct that he can't take point. behind the scenes he may be giving support.

I agree, but then again, I'm not gay...but I am uninsured. I certainly think he's giving support behind the scenes... I wish he would be a little less concerned about what Republicans will think of him and a little more about what is best for the country.

I agree with on some points but obama still needs to keep his word. and I feel we need to give him more time he hasn't changed his views. we just need to keep on him and give him more time obama's been in office 4 months no one can change everything in 4 months.

Oh, I most certainly agree with you. He does need to keep his word. It's just clear that he has decided not to use his political capital on gay rights issues, nor will he use it to prosecute torture. More on that later!
