  • Who are these dumb fucks, speaking out of the asses??

  • technically we can teleport, only sub-atomically, to an extent that is not visible to us, but it is possible, thank you michio kaku for teaching me that :) gotta love physics.

  • @slitheredxscars

I'm pretty sure his point was that people can't teleport themselves, so subatomic particles don't qualify as teleporting oneself.

  • @drche420 im pretty sure i dont care. lol and im not gonna side with theist's if that was the assumption. i was just putting a random fact out there.

  • @slitheredxscars

Side with the theists? So you're saying it IS useful to think about when the soul "evolved" even though the soul hasn't been demonstrated to exist?

  • @drche420 lol do you read? or do you troll? lol..,. i just said it was a random fact. it is however useful to disprove anti evolutionists. -.-

  • @slitheredxscars

My point is your comment wasn't just a random fact, it is an irrelevant fact to this discussion.

  • Ummmmm, the concept of the soul is not originally a Christian idea. It's a Western idea--the duality of body and soul. I believe it was Plato's idea, first? By the way--this concept of the soul as told by Plato, it's not religious.

Second of all, the idea of a soul isn't even THAT weird. I'm an atheist. Explain to me consciousness, how it works and what it is. No, you cannot. It's dumb to rag on people for an idea when we truly have nothing better.

  • @throwscats you need to watch more of these videos. That's a logical fallacy- an argument from ignorance "there is something you can't explain, therefore it must be this". It's an argument used by a lot of theists "you can't explain everything in the universe, therefore god must exist".

  • @LordYon13 I never claimed anything, though, so your argument is incorrect. You are saying that I said, "there is something you can't explain, therefore it must be this." This is not what I said. What I said is that, "there is something you can't explain."

Now, unless I missed something, this is true. It's arrogant to suggest otherwise and, well, rather unscientific. Who knows what happens after we die? Nobody. No one knows if there's more to a human than their body, either.

  • @throwscats In which case I seem to have misinterpreted what you wrote. You said that the idea of a soul isn't that weird and then went on to list things that aren't currently fully explained by science. To me it seemed that you were making a case that there was evidence for a soul based on the set of unknowns, which would be an argument from ignorance (not an offensive term, just the name given to that argument-style).

  • @throwscats ignore the troll.. -.-

  • None of the nonhuman races have souls...elves, halflings, dwarves, orcs, goblins, hobgoblins, lizard men, troglodytes, drow, aarakocra, mind flayers, beholders. It's very humanocentric.

  • @gspendlove this is just a hunch, but perhaps they don't exist...

  • @morgyburley Well, following the lead of the Xians, no one can DISprove them, therefore, they exist.

  • @gspendlove no, because the burden of proof is on the person attempting to prove the existence of a being, not the other way round. I will assume, however, that you are merely trolling and I forgive you (in a non-Christian sense).

  • @morgyburley It was less of a "trolling" thing and more of a sarcastic comment. But thanx for forgiving me.

  • Well, I'm a ginger, so I don't need to worry about this. Sucks for all of you! Ahahahaha!

  • Shut up Martin! Quit interupting! Just because your in the Lead chair doesnt give you BlabBlubBlub authority.OK!

  • James Brown had Soul . . .

  • @Uberlaser But James Brown wasn't human...he was a Machine...

  • Afterlife & god don't have to be linked. Maybe our conscience does prevail after physical death passing to another dimension or phase of nature governed by currently unknown laws of nature. If this were true, there still would be no need for a god.

  • The moment the brain begins to form, stuff gets downloaded. When you die, shit gets uploaded. It weighs about 21 grams.

  • @STICHYZ Uploaded to where and how exactly?

  • 'soul' enter the body...good joke, humans got no soul-they got SHIT.their inner self is SHIT and they strive for SHIT and spirituality for them,is swimming in their SHIT.

pfff..."demonic power stealing the souls" like that the humans SHIT even worth anything...ohh,right...it's worth to allot of crap,Demons need it has fertilizers =P

  • A better question is that why do gingers lack a soul? (Just kidding gingers, you are just as human as everyone else!)

  • @Soultwist3r Silly mortal......we just want you to think that!

    We have TWO souls!

  • rather than trying to define soul as a product of consciousness--& have silly arguments of proof--why not understand it as metaphor? does that diminish the use of the term? anyway it's used mostly as metaphor in our culture & that is not a problem except for egg heads who live in a science lab.

if you need to understand your soul as something that literally goes to heaven then you have already missed the point. & if you argue with someone like that then which of you is the bigger fool?

  • So bored of these arguments about proof for soul, god, etc. Both atheists & believers make the same mistake of framing these questions in a literal and/or physical way.

the only way to talk about the soul or god or religion is in a metaphorical/mythological way as joseph campbell taught decades ago.

we are creatures of both logos & mythos. if both atheists & believers talk about religion in terms of logos they miss the point. religious questions exist only in the realm of mythos.

  • I think the soul is describing consciousness. Its odd that were experiencing anything at all, and I think this is a mystery that the term "soul" has been used to address. However, I don't think it ever entered the body. I think its integrated with the body, as its probably some not very well understood dimension of time, space, matter, etc, that the structure of the brain shapes into human experience and awareness.

  • Soul Pirating=Ghost Dubbing (Ghost in the Shell). It's been done.

  • The soul thing enters the body when people do the Wild Thing. Sex creates souls, don't you know. That's why Christians are so scared of sex and why their music is so deficient in soul.

  • I'd hate to be a ginger twin.....

  • Opening argument: "We can't discuss the specifics of something until you first prove that it exists"

One minute later: "Seriously though, what are the *specifics* of this thing that I don't believe in?"

    Spot the fallacy.

  • You're a twin, you're only half a soul XD

  • @DarthFennec and a sextuplet would be a sixth of a soul

  • Why couldn't the soul have begun at abiogenesis?

  • @TaiFerret lol...single-celled organisms in heaven? That would make for some awkward conversations during eternity.

  • @TaiFerret Because according to Christians only humans have souls :P

  • @DarthFennec

Does that mean all other animals are zombies? Scary

  • @4dsouzaluiz No, because Jesus was a zombie and he still went to heaven, so obviously being a zombie and having a soul or not really don't have anything to do with each other. Or something. I don't know, I'm not an expert on all this superstitious cult bullshit.

I think it's more like, animals aren't intelligent enough to go to heaven. You have to take an IQ test to get in, or something. I guess, I mean there's no other difference between a human and all other animals besides intelligence so ...

  • @DarthFennec

What of the argument that consciousness is not material, and evidence for the soul? Why isn't animal consciousness evidence for THEIR soul? Or is our soul only the self-consciousess capability of human consciousness? What the hell is going on here? Isn't that much simpler to accept the brain makes thoughts in all animals?

  • @4dsouzaluiz Well that's the idea, because according to Christians, `we can't explain self-conscious capability using science -> God exists,' which is their evidence for everything. But there are so many problems with that idea that it seems impossible to me that anyone would actually believe it. For instance, we've used science to show that emotion, memory, logic, etc, are all handled by the brain, so what part of that gets transferred to heaven or hell? Nothing that matters, obviously.

  • Okay and if you throw mutiple personalities?

    Who goes and why?

  • "I'm working on a YouTube video"

Anyone know who this guy is?

  • 0:42

  • The soul thing enters the body when the sperm thing hits on the egg thing leading the soul thing to enter the body thing.

  • @TurboDally If you're genuinely wanting to understand people and how they work, their personalities etc you should check out neurology and neuroscience. Science teaches that the "mind" is a product of the brain, science is factual and provides evidence for whatever conclusion is arrived at. It's also very very interesting.

  • @TurboDally

Therefore , according to your silly hypnotists, maternal twins have one soul.

  • So, what's your question really? I don't get it. You seem to be asking a question while at the same time mocking...what?...the question? I don't think you even have a question. I think you're just laughing at the question and not really asking it. At least not in any sincere way. Strange video since the answer to the origin of the soul of man is clearly explained in Genesis - if you're asking for a Biblical answer, or an answer at all, which, again, I'm not real clear on.

  • @TheOptimistPrime What people think of as the "soul" is really just a product of the human mind. In other words, our brain. Our brain is more than just a lump of flesh; it's an interconnected web of neurons and impulses that governs our body and our thought processes.

  • @TheOptimistPrime Sounds like you're describing the mind...

  • Babylon 5 ripped off from Scientology?

Xenu was the one who captured souls of aliens and then implanted them to humans

  • An atheist once told me, "I suspect that I am God."

I said, "Yes, you are, but each man's god must be greater than himself."
