Looks really cool but I could type faster with the regular keyboard. I don't know why apple allows this on the AppStore and not the swype keyboard that android designed for them.

MessagEase is awesome, especially with a cheap, small phone. If you have something huge like an iPad, then any input method works, but if you have a small crappy phone like mine, then MessagEase is a must! It does have a learning curve, so skip this if you don't want to invest a couple hours learning to text faster.

Congrats! You got the same typing rate as in the demo for GKOS which is also available for iPhone and Android. There are so many attempts to replace the tiny qwerty these days.

@tiainse1 QWERTY does need replacing, unless you have an iPhone quality touch screen they are really error prone. Swype is the best replacement so far

@Potts132, I think it's good to have options anyway. Some people might like to have big keys for better visibility, for example, and study a new method, like MessageEase or GKOS, simply because of that.

@tiainse1 GKOs makes no sense, I tried for about 20 mins and could barely type. I just use Swype, using a familiar keyboard, better input method, and good word detection.

Message ease is not much better, make more sense then GKOS, but doesn't speed you up from a QWERTY

@Potts132, QWERTY obviously makes more sence to you so please keep on using it with or without swype, no problem. To me, it is a problem, especially hitting correct buttons because they are so tiny and many in a small area. Could be my big thumbs or my vision. I type fast but make many mistakes. With GKOS I can reach 40 wpm on iPhone with much fewer errors. BTW, is 20 min of alphabetical vs nx10 years of random order a fair comparison about what makes sense? Both are one tap per character.

This app is junk. The "speed" videos are clearly sped up. The thing is counter-intuitive, which is not what you should be looking for in a keyboard. Of course you can use it faster after you've gotten used to it than when you first use it. That's the case for almost anything. The point is to have a keyboard whose design makes it easier from the start.

@22FreeRealms it is very comfortable and ompimized, and accurate. Speed isn't the only thing, but it's as fast as QWERTY so consider all of that before calling something retarded.

Yeah this is pretty good news. I used to use this on my Palm T3 as well - it was very good for programming in LispMe since it handles punctuation and case in a precise and quick way.

This works! You have to put a little bit of time to get used to it but it saves a lot of time in typing once you do.
