He isnt a sell out he isnt a brand, hes an artist trying to make a living. Art supplies dont *poof* into existence. they have to be bought. He does what hes good at to make a living, just like us. It just so happpens that artists have to buy supplies to pay for buying supplies.
It is my belief, there are original/good artists in this world and then there are hacks. Google "art for change, obey" to see how much shepard rips off artists for almost everything he does.

Your just another one of those haters who wants to put down the massive success of an amazing street prodigy! if it weren't for people like Shepard street art wouldn't even hardly exist in the same way it does today....so get over yourself. He paved the way for artist like your friends and also myself.

If someone can turn something they love into a career to share it on a large scale basis how is that bad? Shepard started off the same way any other street artist did, there are reasons and concepts behind why he does his art that way. do you have any work i can see? I would love to see some! I spend easily about 20 hours making and crafting each of my stencils! so when you say that you do stencils to be quick....its prolly cause you make REALLY shitty stencils....you can talk shit to me when you spend 20 plus hours making your own stencils. This conversation is over....it has been the least of my pleasures talking to you.

@bookmarkthis haha...for one thing most of the images that he uses aren't taken from other artist. they are stock photography or images inspired by old propaganda posters. Oh and by the way I think its funny that you are completely missing the point of what he is doing by using the images he uses. Its part of his concept...he takes things and gives them substance....why don't you learn just a tad bit more about the man and his work before you talk as if you know it all. He is fucking BRILLIANT!
Oh and one more thing.....there is no such thing as an original artist....you can try and fool yourself into thinking there is, but everything that is replicated by an artist is inspired by someone or something else. Bad artist copy great artist steal....Pablo Picasso
