The sound quality is fine at short range, however the mic sounds pretty typical tinny and quiet for long range as you'd expect. The only solution would be a seperate mic input, unfortunately not available on the speed models yet... maybe next year if we all twist enough...lol
@HighwayUK I have disassembled it, and I think not impossible to make external microphone connector for it.. Under the right side has "big" free area, where has space for 3.5" Jack input.
hi, i wanted to know your opinion on the Speed HD 120z.
Please be honest as i dont wana drain my money, at amazons price of £179.99
I know the video quality is really good! but ive heard the sound is bad, very bad. I cant find anyone on youtube who has sound with video, all have just video. Could you tell me your honest opinion.
It has electronic image stabilization (and I have Manfrotto Modosteady). It is a very cheap, but good full HD camcorder, I am really satisfied width it.
The weight of camcorder is extremely low, if you want to use it for long distance and tele, you could use a mechanical stabilisator too.
I got one of these recently and Yes, it has full image stabilising in all resolutions, thanks to the 10mp cmos jelly effect is almost eliminated. I've also previously owned its baby brother the brilliant hd50z which was good featured camcorder for the price.
well thats something for the techs to do, not something I fancy custom modding till after warranty expires

@darealkhan It's sound not "very" bad, but not excellent. I have one little con about sound, it hasn't audio input, but not impossible to make that.

I take it this was shot in 720 @ 60fps then slowed to half speed 30fps?
HighwayUK 1 year ago
@HighwayUK slowed to 25fps, but it is nearly similar, I think.
