As a matter of fact, there are some Tai dam tribes that are from Laos and some from Vietnam..and their origin is somewhere near south China. This is a Thai/Lao song. The singers are from RS, Lift Supoj and Oil Thana. They are singing in Thai/Lao. Southeast Asian music might sound a bit similar but this is 100% Thai/Lao not Vietnamese. Oh, by the way, I think both guys are gorgeous and cute.

The song is good and thanks those for letting us know that it's from Lao. I don't like the way they make this movie too. It's suppose to be traditional. Be respect. I got old CD of this song sang by Kai Pannika (ไก่ พรรณนิกา), but it was made traditionally well and I like it. But this video is a joke. It's better for those singers to go and borrow modern music instead (if they can't think of their own at all).

Also, these Tai Dam people actually came from Northern Lao close to the Vietnam border. The man who wrote this song immigrated to Vientiane, because his city was destroyed during the 60s or 70s. He wrote this song in memory of that city.

Also, I did not like this movie, it was very insulting towards Laotian people.
