Don't be so quick to use the word "normal" like it's a good thing. If you took a hard look at what most "normal" people do, it would make you sick. How anyone had time to make friends in college I'll never know. I had to study and work, I didn't have to time to get drunk every night and sleep with people I'd just met.
@shadoobie555 the song isn't saying that they'll stay in contact. but they will always remember that they were friends and all the fun things they did and that despite possibly not keeping contact they will still be friend because of those memories.
