@mathewdylang Depends, N/A v8's need stronger internals to take anything over just 10 psi. I've run against a STS equipped V8 S10. Good run on his part, I took him by 4. Final run he spiked at 27 due to wastegate failure and broke the oil pan. Stock block DSM (such as mine) held 25-30 psi daily. In a mod-for-mod comparison, the dsm is better suited. I ran 25+ psi for UNDER $2k. Like I say, V8's are great for hauling stuff. DSM's are great for hauling ass ;)

I think the reason its V8 is because how often do you see 10 or 12 cyl vehicles? Ive seen a dsm beat a viper, lambo, ferrari, vettes, supras, and hondas. So that covers all the v8,10,12 and inline 4 and 6. As you can see its not all about how many cylinders you have.

They are in NO way related other than the motor and that is quite a vague relation and as of now (Evo X and above) they are not related at all because the current evo does not have a 4g63 in it. DSM's are cars made by the Diamon Star joint venture of Chrysler and Mitsubishi of 1985 in the MMNA plant at Normal, Illionois. The Evo is made in Japan at the Mizushima Plant in Kurashiki, Okayama. It's NOT a DSM.
