@chicagonighthunter13 All of SYL's albums are great. If you don't have their album "City", a piece of your life is missing. Devin Townsend's work is a little too different from Alien if you're looking for aggression. But his albums Ziltoid the Omniscient and Deconstruction are worth looking for (Deconstruction is almost Alien part 2).

Seriously, if you like Alien and need more stuff, get EVERY SYL ALBUM. Alien is the best but City is also amazing.

@Bassbait I have every SYL album, but Alien is my least favorite. I mean, I don't hate it or anything, but it gets the least amount of play, by far. Not sure why I don't like it as much as the others, I just don't. To each, his (or her) own. *shrugs*

@DarthMohammed It's probably the production value, difference in composition, and amount of extremity. The other albums aren't as extreme, the writing style is a little less repetitive riff-wise but the music as a whole on Alien is more diverse than other albums. The production is the most "wall of sound" Alien ever had. So if you don't like it, try to re-evaluate it, because with time you'll realize it's actually one of the most well made, despite being hard to sit through.

@Bassbait Good points. You could be right. I think the heavy grooving riffs on the other albums appealed to me the most, and aside from "Love?", there's not a whole lot of that on Alien.
