In better economic times, ~100 trains in 24 hours was common, so that averages out to about one every 15 minutes. But reality doesn't work that way. Even here, you'll have dead periods, where you might not see a train for an hour or longer.
You certainly shot more than a usual day's worth of SD90s. They're kinda scare around here. That Z train passing the UP hopper train was a nice capture.
what a place to be I am very envious of you. Is it hard to get to, do the bulls bother you on the "island"? up here, washington state, the bulls can be very picky. good video.
How many km do U think these engines are passing ?

USA trains, great. I am very surprised by the high loads. The gauge of the tunnels must be very large.

Is it true that on Cajon you get a train every 15min??? because that's what a railfan at Roseville told me.

I saw one or two railfans at Hill 582, and one showed up here later, but it was too cold and windy for anyone else, so no one bothered me.

This is my 2nd video past 10 minutes. When YouTube stopped mentioning the 10 minutes limit, I tried it out, and it worked.

Wow that's a busy bit of line! Looks really cold at the start there, still, when there's a train around one doesn't notice the cold do they ;-)

The greatest thing about Cajon is how there is always traffic to be filmed. Great job!
