  • Welfare is not a right nor is it the handing of ones life's means to them. Welfare is teaching the aspects of personal responsibility and self sufficiency. Obama believes welfare is a right and a demand of government to suit the needs of every living person. If no one works tho how will those products and wealth be made or redistributed? Socialism is a fast ending ponzi scheme that ends in revolution and mass murders of the people in charge. Remember history teaches future. Nazis ring a bell?

  • we r talking about a frre leader that had to pick up the pieces from a man that bought his power.... dont hate this man... hate the republicans that BUY there votes

  • Obama is right. They do make cultural things like guns and faith the central voting issue when they don't believe that ecconimic problems can be solved. And yes, many of them resort to racial scapegoating to deal with ecconomic problems as well.

  • Elitist: pride or awareness of belonging to a select or favored group. A belief that one is entitled due to financial status, or by social status, or intelligence. Well since this is the definition of elitist, and our President does not fit into this definition, maybe folks should stop saying this or some could wind up looking like they don't know how to use a dictionary, and by would that be embarassing. Elitist, give me a break.

  • why did this pimp even get a senate seat in the first place? What did the republican encumbent do that was so wrong?Nothing, imo.

  • His republican opponent during the senate election was a real pimp. An idiotic catholic jerk off, FYI..

  • look at that...now Nobamarx has run a campaign based upon what Bush did.

  • John married Cindy McCain. Her families net assets are close to 100 million. Her Dad was rich! Obama $300,000 dollars? He bought his house for 1.7 million. Then he purchased a piece of the lot next to his house which was purchased shortly after the Obama's bought their house by resko for 100 grand. HMMM!! I would rather get my money from a rich father in law than a criminal, Wouldn't you?

  • the rich father in law was a bit of a criminal too....

  • nice try: still obama

  • Cindy McCain's outfit at the RNC:

Oscar de la Renta dress: $3,000

Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch: $4,500

    Three-carat diamond earrings: $280,000

    Four-strand pearl necklace: $11,000--$25,000

    Shoes, designer unknown: $600

    Total: Between $299,100 and $313,100

    Who's the elitist?

Republicans are using dirty tactics. Don't count on McCain to bring chance.

    Obama/Biden 08!

  • Did she buy it herself?

  • If Obama is elitist, what do you call,'I don't care what the allies, citizens or Congress has to say Cheney? Americans preferred incompetence over two prior Democratic candidates who were infinetely more intelligent, and as gifted as the Senator happens to be. I do not believe that Obama is fully prepared yet, he ought to be running for Veep and gaining experience. But having said that he is more prepared in his unreadiness to be Prez than G Bush is now after spending two terms in office.

  • A lesson for blacks. We know the sins of white America & white power, despite what has been left out of their history books or oral traditions. However, it is time for us to consider the historical successes & failures of black male leadership in the Americas, the land down under & all the way back to Africa. We are waiting for whites to provide jobs, healthcare, cures for ebola, aids, to solve problems in the inner cities.... We must do some introspection...there is a dependency problem!

  • Where do you learn about these sins, if they are not conveyed through writing or oral traditions?

  • Answer: From the Sovereign, the Unifying Principle, The God Equivalent, the Universe...!

  • hi :)

    its only a dream.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    McCain 2008!

  • It might be only an illusion, however, it won't effect me one way or the other - I am not an 'All Praises Be To Obama" Supporter. If you consider both Parties, the more things change the more they stay the same. Obama's foreign policy differs very little from G. Bushes or John McCain's when you reduce it to its LCD.

  • As I said before to America's black Janjeweed, some of us will neither cower to you or whites when it comes to deciding. Consider beloved Nelson Mandela, or Mbeiki both black Presidents in S. Africa. During their combined 3-terms in office, not much has changed for majority shanty-towned black Africans. Just as in the USA, structural barriers are in place. A purported black savior cannot change what is just because he makes good speeches. Like McCain, Obama will perpetuate the status quo!

  • alpha continued.., from his mouth. His retreats: Wife's comments, wasted troops in Iraq, Pa's religious guntoting marginalized, left his pastor & church, NAFTA, AIPAC over Farrakhan, Iraq, Public Finance, negotiations with world leaders, troop withdrawal, gun legistations, oil drilling...! He has spent less than 3 years in the US Senate, half his time campaining. HE's not ready to be Prez, you don't have to be a Bushtanista or Republican to know that! He has stood for nothing.

  • alpha, you are a perfect example of why some people should not be permitted to vote, I am not a Republican or a Bushtanista. The fact remains that with respect to the young Senator that he moved too fast, leap-frogging over the process and more experienced candidates, and as a result he is on a downward spiral. The Wright Reverend is being indicated as a consequence of all of the Senator's recapitulations, political posturing and retrenchment on practically everything that initially came from

  • How about he comes to a pig roast...

    eh????

  • The problem has nothing to do with real or imagined Obama elitism, that is simply a ruse. The Republicans cast Senator Gore as being too much of an intellectual when he ran against Bush in 2008, and looked who America got instead! No one will ever confuse Bush with being a genius! And I will never consider the individuals who voted for George Bush, particularly the second time around, as being very bright either!

  • Senator Obama is an idealist, and his idealism, believe it or not, will likely be his downfall. What does he believe, nobody knows? In previous elections, voters have voted for dogs and cats because they were so frustrated with incumbent politicians and business as usual. Many voters have repeated similar behavior by voting for Senator Obama. Many of his supporters cannot tell you what his positions are, in fact one man told me - I LOVE HIM. Another said, he simply makes me feel good!

  • Obama insane needs to be checked out... See if he's got 666 printed on him somewhere!

  • The possibility of an inexperienced black President has begun to set in among voters. American voters were frustrated with Bush and the Republican party, and they really don't want McCain either. However, the very thought that Obama might prevail is too much for the American voter. My issue is that I want to get rid of the totalitarian 2-Party system that is holding the voting process in America hostage! America might have voted for a good inexperienced Democrat, had he or she been white!

  • you are just repeating what the republican party says, and they only say it because they know mccain cannot compete with his charisma and speech giving ability so they try to suggest he doesnt stand for anything. mccain is the one who has completely changed his stance on everything since he started running for president. and if you want to know what obama says look it up, listen to speeches or look into his past voting record. its all quite clear really.

  • The fact of the matter is that naiive black voters, the against the war for the war/for Hillary against for Obama Democratic Congress are the proxies for the Republican Party. You have succeeded in doing what they have been incapable of. You stopped a revolution; helped to defeat the Clintons who represented worldwide support against American fascism; destroyed the black leadership (supported by the world0wide Clintonm machine. Now they will destroy Obama, 2 birds killed with 1 Obama stone.

  • The Galesburg plant he is speaking of is Maytag.

The problem that Barak does not seem to grasp is that due to oppressive tax policies in Illinois, businesses HAD to move out of state to stay in business or at least, competitive. Those tax policies were do in whole to Barak Obama and his ilk. The solution is to make Illinois a company-friendly state (which it is not) via tax incentives so that it is profitable for businesses to stay there.

I'm speaking as a life-long resident of Illinois.

  • Barack Obama is the worst candidate right now , even worse then Clinton

  • that is the voice of a worried person. If you fail to acknowledge that Obama is a once in a lifetime candidate regardless of what side you are on, then to do so is foolish. Every couple generations there is a visionary that can rally people and form movements. Meet Barack Obama.

  • i do acknowledge him as a candidate with a very good chance of winning , im just saying his beleifs and ideals are worse then that of hillarys

  • War Room pt 9" and listen to Indiana Hoosiers being called "shit" and "worthless white ni**ers". Those statements are at 4:48 and 4:55 in the video by Mickey Kantor, Hillary Clinton's advisor and former Secretary of Commerce. Here's the video: watch?v=4_wKOgMNs0U

  • I refuse to vote for someone who is two faced, lies, cheats, back stabs, and has to do everything by a script.

Notice that when Hillary makes a speech, it's ALWAYS scripted.

She does not have the brains to act at will.

I hate to think that when zero hour comes, she has to go and look for the script...I mean manual.

  • oh... i thought you meant Obama...

  • No you have it wrong...that would be Nobama.....he can't talk without a speech! Go Hillary!

  • So your only choice is Ron Paul!

  • You have it completely backwards. If you watched the debates, she has always been better than him at speaking about topics on the spot. When he tries it I feel like I'm watching a bumbling sophomore at a high school speech meet.

  • It obvious, steve that you have been smoking that chit again.

I fail to see someone as better because they have to lie about the actual events in bosnia and hoping that their rival gets assassinated prior to the general elections.

Hillbilly's speech is totally scripted...exactly how much she can remember prior to her speeches, is unknown.

That's why she always has her speech presented in front of her at every campaign appearance.

The most Obama has at his campaign is a placard.

  • The whole point of Obama's talk was Clinton and Bush administrations had marginalized and disrespected folks in the rust belt by breaking promises to help with unemployment. His point was he wanted the government to keep it's promises. Now,the Clintons want us to ignore the whole point of his message(gov should keep it's promises)and instead, fixate on some poorly chosen words in his talk. Clinton is banking on us being easily distracted. That's the REAL disrespect. We are being played!

  • The narator is trying to help Obama get out of this mess. But neither can do it. I would like to hear how Obama explains how the inner city people vote. In every large city the inner city votes Democratic. Is this due to economics?, they are largely on welfare, therefore this might explain how they vote.

  • The interview was taped in 2004. It's obvious by your comments that you don't read much.

  • Contrary I think it indicates that he has thought this way for a long time. Any time someone loses their job they have a tough road to travel. but I think they went hunting and to church before and will continue.

The thought that Government will fix anything is a joke. they can put you in a slum like they do in the urban areas. Las Angelas, New York, Houston, New Orleans. Then come around every four years and tell you they will make it better. but they can't.

  • i do thing urban people vote based on their economic situation.... and i think that makes sense. We want a leader that will try to make a practical difference in our lives. Somebody talking about good and how much they love to hunt doesnt put food on my table.

mreal"The interview was taped in 2004. It's obvious by your comments that you don't read much."

mreal y r GOP so ignorant?

  • Democrats are all "elitist" by the very nature of their policies. Democrats believe "individuals" are too dumb to make decisions for themselves so "government" has to make it for them. That is why Democrats are against school choice, against reforming social security, for gun control, and so forth. And people think they have less freedoms under Bush and the Republicans, you haven't seen nothing yet if Obama or Hillary become the next president.

  • I think that you fail to recognize the fairy tale that you apparently live in! Americans in general are elitist's with varying degrees of implication! I am an american that is surely bitter that everything i believe in has been dragged through the dirt by people that have no clue, dont deserve freedom of speech! Educate yourself, Then come talk to me! This country was founded on the idea that government should be controlled by the elite! The simpletons that talk without thinking, have no say!

  • May it never be said that he was not wise in these remarks.

  • I liked that Barrack. To bad the far left ruined him and his chances of being elected. The guy is clueless on so much. Appealing to the far left so they don't turn on you isn't a good strategy to appeal to the majority of Americans.

  • I don't believe he's increased his appeal to the far left at all. Lately he's done things we would never agree with: vote yes on the wall, vote yes on the Peru Free Trade agreement, talk about invading Pakistan, etc.

My point is, above all, Obama is about bringing people together, and getting everyone to participate, so we can steer this country in a better direction.

He knows this will happen because he was a community organizer for years.

That's why I still support him.

  • Obama finally gets a taste of the scrutiny to come, after twenty other debates, & can't handle the pressure. Are we crazy, we can't have a wimp/jerk like Kerry as our candidate to regain the Whitehouse. Clearly, Obama can't handle the heat. Obviously, if Obama is the nominee the Republicans will mop up the floor with him. I don't think the rest of "US" left to vote are that stupid or intimidated by the biased press coverage on this campaign. Go PA, bring Hillary on to the rest of "US".

  • People go hunting because of frustration? Is Obama really THAT stupid? Obviously he is.

I'm not American, but I go hunting as well. That means I'm doing it because of frustration over economic hardships? Honestly... I never thought highly of Obama, especially not after Adolf Wright, but now I say only this one thing: Obama's an idiot. Don't care whether he's black, white or purple. I don't like him because he's an idiot.

  • All he is saying is people value their traditions like hunting and religion and guns and will vote for the party which seems to be in line with these values, because that is what is real and working. But they are cynical on those talking economics because of all the lies from politicians who promise the earth and never deliver.

  • At least bill does not make 40 million of a non-profit hospital.

  • mresl, thank you from Pittsburgh! I've been trying as hard as I can to tell people that Obama spoke the truth about my state. Pittsburgh is the SECOND BIGGEST city in the state, and it's been suffering economic hardships for the past 25 years. People literally BOOED Hillary in Pittsburgh for saying that Obama's out of touch. And she has the NERVE to say otherwise? Her husband makes $40 million a year! Who's the elitist, and who's REALLY out of touch with small-town Pennsylvanians?

  • Says one thing in private and another in public that makes him a huge phony ....America isn't as dumb as he clearly thinks it is.

Looks like it's Obama's chickens are the ones coming home to roost

BTW TZAREK Mind your own countries affairs.

Norway doesn't DO anything, has no solutions to offer the world

We get to critize our own...not you.

  • Is America afraid of getting a smart precident?????

  • Wow, someone that actually attempts to put himself in someone elses shoes that is a politician. Wouldn't want that, huh? The next time John McCain talks about the voting habits of interacial middle class americans from the midwest, let me know if he gets it right. The point is Barack is trying to understand people with backgrounds other then his own, that's more then I can say for Hillary or McCain.

  • The REPUGnicans practically INVENTED being elitist. The Obamas just recently finished paying off their student loans!!! MCCAIN IS AN ANGRY, CONFUSED AND UNSTABLE REPUGnican!!! -- REPUG = Disappearing JOBS, High Food Prices & Gas near $3.40 per gallon -- REPUG = WAR, WAR, WAR & saying "Water-Boarding Isn't Torture" -- = Tax Cuts for the Rich, $3.40/gal. Gas for the Middle Class -- = 900,000 homes in foreclosure right NOW! -- NO COPYRIGHT. ALL/PART OF THIS DOCUMENT MAY BE COPIED & REPOSTED.
  • Let's elect an average Joe like Bush pretended to be. It worked out so well!

  • When I see Obama's arrorangce I see the same thing I saw in Bush. Also I find Obama to be just another republican. He take tons of money from huge corporations like Goldmam Sachs and Lehman Brothers despite the bullshit you hear. Go to whitehouseforsale dot org and check for yourself. Why the hell is the Cherokee Nation giving him 200,000? These are not the 50 dollar donations he claims.

Also Barack does not have a opinion former on abortion at the age of 47! That's what Clarence Thomas said.

  • You are an idiot. He isn't out of touch at all. People lose their jobs then turn to religion, guns and hatred, it's not a new idea and it certainly isn't elitist. It is the truth and it hurts.

  • Elitism is a feeling or belief that your overall better than someone else, it can mean a feeling of economic superiority but can come from feeling of racial superiority, intellectually superoirity, nationality, etc.

My guess is Barack's elitism come from more than one of these.

  • He's elite.....not elitist!!!!!

  • Very revealing, Obama didn't take his own advice from 2004. This also proves that he has changed opinions since then. The reason is obvious. Those folks from Ill. who didn't know then what we know now, elected him, while people in Penn. have wised up. Obama's big change has him smugly mocking his "friend" Hillary as if he were already the candidate. Well, if he turns out to be, the DNC might be upset to learn how many Dems will prefer McCain to Obama. Witness McCain's town meeting at Villanova.

  • hunter..also ...frankly..the rev Wright stuff is guilt by association and since no one that knows him (including McCain) says he is racist..i don't worry about that. As for the "bitter" stuff...he my be a slightly elitist candidate in a field of elitists..so thats a weak criticism. I like the fact that the people that resit him are clearly racist bone heads or political shills, so that makes me think I am going in the right direction. (continued)

  • hunter- Hillary just plain rubs me the wrong way. Plus, her scorched earth "Tanya Harding" policy in the last few days reinforces my opinion. Now, as for Obama..agian..i am an old man...and I can honestly say that I am very very impressed by this mans intellect. And i am tired of having my country run by a C student. Plus...his multi racial profile will play very well on the internatioal stage and God knows we need some help there.

    ( continued)

  • My question is :

WHY THE FUCK IS IT WRONG TO BE AN ELITIST???!!!!!!

LAST TIME WE ELECTED A DUMB FUCK WE ENDED UP WITH BUSH!

Elite means the best, whats wrong with that?

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY!!!!!!!????

  • Come on...his dad left...his mother died..he was raised by his grandparents..yet, he went to Harvard because he earned it...thats an American success story. He now makes an observation that folks in the rust belt are bitter about losing their jobs and that they use their faith to cope and that they think their guns make them feel a little more secure in an uncertain world (heck i think that). Now, Folks that have been rich and powerful for decades call him an elitist... and we are buying it?

  • Dude, how many times you gonna cut and paste that same statement,..LOL. The writers strike is over, get a new script.

Just thought I'd let you khow, I read your posts also. Since you were so kind to point out I post on every Obama video I can find.

I'll spare ya and not paste my reply here. Let people who are hungry to learn all about this topic read and learn. The one's who search are also the one's who vote, thankfully.

  • Hunter-

got me on that one..i try to get some work done during the day, so some times I cut and paste.

So, here it goes..from the heart:

I am and old man and have seen a lot of elections. I like to think I am a student of history and I take politics seriously. I really liked John McCain for a long time because of his "straight talk" but he flipped on taxes for the rich and he lost me on that..plus I think Iraq is a mistake and he will not admit it. (continued)

  • hunter- RE the Clintons: I don't give a darn who Bill screwed. I even like that the world likes him. But, when he took money from China and then allowed high tech secrets to be shared with them...and when he took money from an FBI most wanted, took money from a drug king pin for a pardon...that was way way out of line. He lost me. As for Hillary... her neg numbers make her unelectable in a general election. ( continued)

  • Hunter- and lastly, I like Obama's "clarity of thought"

If you have not read his book or listened to interviews, and have based you opinions on sound bites..you will not see what I mean. But, if you study the guy (and I have)...this man has intense clarity of thought. That is a great attribute in a leader. In all, I am very impressed with the man and very afraid of the alternatives.

  • Electro- I certainly appreciate your educated and civil approach. You certainly are a man who does your homework. Maybe I was mistaken in my initial impression, for that I offer my handshake.

Bottom line, we all have to live with our choices, for whatever the reasons are. These choices are what makes our country great, the fact we have the opportunity to discuss these issues in forums such as this.

I'll continue to look for your posts, as you are an honorable poster here,..ty.

  • Electro-cont...I am not a professed politically driven individual. Truth of the matter, I was very much leaning towards Mr Obama, until...Well we know. And, b4 you say it, don't. It may seem pety, but understand I hold dearly, very dearly to my family and our beliefs and values. Everything else comes 2nd. I'm not a supporter of a particular person or side. But I do, through the process of elimination, ultimately decide who I support. I'm sorry to say he has gained that honor.

  • amen

  • watch this watch?v=vgUj1a_nXUg

  • Yeah, "If ..... we appear to be condescending...they will opt for at least that party...."

And you lemmings think he's the Obamessiah !!! Clowns show up at his spiels and faint for God's sake, get all weepy !!!!

  • You know,I can understand someone not wanting to vote for Barrack for whatever reason but trying to make him out as someone bad is just crazy. He's more decent than most. Nick picking someones words and trying to do a comprehensive evaluation of who they are is silly. Just cast your one vote and shut the hell up.

  • DO NOT trust this guy!

  • Why?

  • BTW, the 'context' of him speaking to 'closed door elitists' is another blunder of perception. He was NOT pandering to them, but rather explaining why those with more may have to sacrifice for the good of the overall econ. conditions of Americans who feel bitter and left behind. This was a courageous, no nonsense talk, that has been twisted along with every other element of this story.

  • Nothing new... Bill Clinton talked about "scaring white voters" back in 1991. The "values" voter is basically someone who has given up voting on economic interests, and instead use cultural values pandered to by politicians. Sen. Obama understands this, and has commented on this for years as have others. Hillary can't win the Pres. this way, so the only motive is what people like me knew 20 yrs ago... The Clintons are a cancer to progressive ideals and destoryers of the dem party. Vote Nader

  • This isn't about Bill. This is about that message has whittled down to what came out of Barack's mouth. He did not blame republican pandering he blamed bitter gun toting, bible clinging, intolerant haters for thier own troubles. He absolutely cannot beat McCain now. Hillary is what you see is what you get. Nader wants to steal votes just like before and all the libertarian dreamers who wasted money bombs for Ron Paul. Kucinich was the man,but we don't elect truly humble people. I'll vote Hillary

  • oored- that's funny...i didn't hear any of the words.

  • electro, I know, you are too busy watching a clip from 4 years ago instead of last week. He turned the phrase much differentl, and very badly and he should pay for it by loosing. He isn't anything different or special. He's offering vauge copycat agendas on all issues. He's enthralled with having "the biggest chair" at the table. He suggests pulling in all different kinds of thinkers. That's called a cabinet. He is the emperor with no clothes and all the koolaid drinkers are fooled.

  • Thanks but we dont want what we see from Hillary. If she really is what u see is what u get.

  • This is bizarre;I thought Hilary supporters think Obama's not elite enough! They've complained that he has not gotten enough experience in Washington or in some high government office. Well, he's been too busy working as a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER and CIVIL RIGHTS LAWYER.

He was raised by a SINGLE MOM who used FOOD STAMPS. He grew up partly in INDONESIA. He stood in CHURCH with POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS people listening to a PREACHER WHO IS AS FAR FROM "ELITIST" AS ONE CAN POSSIBLY BE! Point taken?

  • Obama is the least Elite of the Bunch.

-He didn't have money until his latest book

-McCains family has been powerful in politics and the military for 3 generations.

-The Clintons live in mansions and hang with movie stars.

plus they are worth 10 times what Obama is worth.

    Get some perspective folks!

  • For the idiot who posted that Obama was accepted into Harvard as an Affirmative Action candidate, the fact is that Obama's father attended Harvard and he could have gotten in as a Legacy candidate, just as George Bush, his cousin did. However, Obama graduated from Harvard law School Magna Cum Laude and to my knowledge there is no affirmative action credit given to elevate someone to that distinguished accomplishment.

  • Let's put it in context shall we. Obama said this behind closed doors as an explanation to why he wasn't leading in small towns. he's an arrogant bastard.

  • Yet here he his 4 years earlier saying the exact same things on national TV. Yawn...

  • I believe what Obama said behind closed doors have similar points to what he said in public even though he could have choose better words.

I'm not an Obama follower but now I can see why his followers -based on many polls- have more higher educated background than Hillary's. If this happened in schools, the way Hillary quoted and twisted Obama's speech would have been considered one of logical fallacies.

  • Obama is right on this. The problem is that most people are too stupid to understand his thoughts without explanation. He is NOT saying ignorant people are religious, pro-gun, anti-trade, or anti-gay marriage. He is saying that people are so frustrated with their inability to effect change on larger issues that they begin to vote on niche issues which are not really important and which act to divide us.

  • what is funny is all of this republican can't stay in the space there's no Mcbush here go and visit your warmugger he's must feel alone or he might need a diapper change.. Mcsame not this time

  • Obama is a liar and I hate the sight of his lying face. He thinks he is a smooth talking charmer who can talk his way into anything and get anyone to do anything for him. Just because he has a nut sack doesn't make him a good leader.

Voters will come crawling back to Hillary when they grow up and see who the smartest, wisest and most experienced WOMAN is! Protest on April 11- email the media to stop abusing Hillary!

    Take back the press!

  • "The reason (George H. W. Bush's tactic) works so well now is that you have all these economically insecure white people who are scared to death," Bill Clinton in September 1991.

  • HillWillThrillUS

Was it Obama or Clinton that told Americans about her Bosnian Sniper story? STFU and go crawl back into your cave aka. Hillary's vagina!

  • haha hillarous! i mean how can she call him elitist? when she sat at the board of executives at walmart, he choose actively to be a community organizer. Hillary is just a republican in disguise.

  • I just don't see how anyone can disagree with his comments! I truly feel like everyone has gone mad!

It is empathy, not condescension. He is speaking about the plight of working class people in a really honest way...

That these comments have been misinterpreted the way they have speaks to how incredibly poisoned our political discourse is.

  • What he and the party will never get is the problem isn't in the voters; it's in these egghead out-of-touch candidates they keep churning out. Kerry cherry picked this guy and remeber Kerry couldn't beat Bush during the earlier years of an unpopular war by THEN BITTER americans.

Clinton gets it, she may be typical but I know what I'm getting with her and Clinton years had money in my pocket, low unemployment and none of this sh*T. Kerry backs him, butt head Kennedy backs him. ick.

  • Hoa! He said traditions of hunting and going to church are something solid to stand on!

He wants to stand on religion! How out of touch!

  • Using this clip as an explanation isn't cutting the mustard. That's part of the backpeddaling, not his words from last week. Find the Statement he mad not the brush off. Small town voters were described as intolerant haters clinging to guns and religion. Stunning display of BS. Read Melinda Nennaberger on Slate if you just don't get it. Oh and pile on the Hillary hate when you can't explain away his crap, that makes him that much more attractive when his minions spew hate.

  • Guess what, dipshit? He's absolutely correct. Republicans have made a killing convincing the blue collar workers to vote against their economic interests by playing up fears of religion and guns. This whole thing is a storm in a teacup that nobody outside of the echo chamber gives a fuck about.

  • What has he said that would offend anyone in this video? He's saying that the Democratic Party has to try to understand working class voters better. And he speaks with knowledge and empathy about Galesburg, Illinois, a town I used to live in.

  • Anyone who thinks his family is typical or that he "came up the hard way" needs to do a little research both on his grandparents education, his mother and her travels, and his own education at Punahou and Harvard. Yes he is brilliant and accomplished, but poor boy emerging from the log cabin to scale the heights ... hardly!!

  • He's such a pandering fraud. America, wake up!!

His mother was from Kansas, but only stepped into the state for the first time when he campaigned there before the primary.

SNOBama is all lies, hype and empty promises! My fellow Americans, vote smart! Vote for real change in Hillary!

Hillary has displayed strength, tenacity and a hunger to change our country from the Bush years!

  • Yay, Hillary backers and McCain backers and NeoCons unite! But 'SNOBama' needs a little work before it's ready for Hannity though.

  • "Bitter" Barack is right! Too many people living in rural america do cling to their guns! Hunting deer, squirrels, racoons to put meat in their freezer so that they can actually feed their family. They cut wood so they can heat their home because they can't afford to pay the gas bill! Rural Americans cling to their religion, because Gov't has failed them, it's their only source of hope! Gov't avoids taking fault for their actions, using immigrants as scapegoats encourageing racism! Obama 2008!

  • Obama grew up poor with a single teen mom, raised in an apartment by his grandparents. He worked his way through college and is where he is by hard work, intelligence and sheer force of will. Affirmative Action had nothing to do with his going to Harvard. He had GOOD GRADES. If he's an elitist, I'm the queen of England.

  • Uh....Obama was not poor by any means. He just wants you to think he was born in a cardboard box. It's called the SYMPATHY card.

  • No, probably got in , like his wife, because a family member attended (his father her brother). You must earn it academically but you are preferred over equal applicants.

  • Probably got in where?

  • He is such an elitist. What a condescending a-hole. I wish I could have got into Harvard Law School based on Affirmative Action and then had a criminal help pay for my house. And then after I got elected for Senate my wife could get a 200% raise at her hospital admin job. She was making $116,000 before he was elected and then got a rase to $321,000 afterwards. Him and his wife are so out of touch. Yet they keep complaining. They seem like the bitter people.

  • lazysimpleton, your name suits you. To say that Obama got into Law school because of Affirmative action is disgusting. Michelle Obama was make more money than Barrack. He only make money when he struck a book deals. Now lets look at the Clinton and McCain, both are worth more than $100 millions vs. Barrack (A little over $1 Million in 06, and a $956,000 in 2007. Most of it from his books.

  • McCain's wife has the money, please use facts not fiction. Obama is on his way. Clintons, well a former president and a former first lady gee, come on! They both have book deals, whoever couldn't make that kind of money over the last 7-8 years under those conditions shouldn't be running.

  • OBAMA 08!

  • this shows how IN TOUCH he's been about what the middle class in rust belt towns have to deal with.

  • Really? Because the last time I checked, middle america had zero tolerance for marxism of the type Obama is so in love with and would shoot anyone stupid enough to disrespect Christianity or try to take away their guns.

Obama, his supporters and the left in general is waaaaaaaaay out of touch. In their world, America has taken a dramatic jump to the left in recent years and now it's time for the communist revolution to come here. If anything, all the liberal monkeyshines have pushed us right

  • Obama is way too good to find favor in the ignorant middle america sect. Those sheep really just need to vote republican anyway..

  • First he's a Muslim. Now an elitist. Sorry he will play this one to his favor.

  • I agree. I think Obama wants to keep this discussion going. I hope it comes up in the debate.

  • So, he understands that he needs to go bowling and drink a beer and eat some chocolate and show people in places like Pennsylvania that he's one of them, or in the least, truly understand what they're all about, but he's failed.

  • eat some chocolate?
