@wsbtam I am not an avid follower of the Splits but the description says this was an "unused bit that was scrapped". Perhaps that's why you never were able to catch it on the tube.
Thanks so much for posting this! These segments aired twice on Saturday mornings back in 1969-1970, and were never seen again, until now. In case you're interested, this segment is "Misc. Gags #6, The Barber." It originally aired in show #24 on October 11, 1969 (repeated February 21, 1970). Stills from this skit were used in the Banana Splits View-Master set. In the original script, the face on the mirror is Dan Rowan of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In!"
Dude, I am trippin right now, and this is REALLY some funny stuff. I wish I had grown up in those days.

The voices are two of the best ever; Paul Winchell and Daws Butler. Butler did Cap'n Crunch, and that voice is evident in Bingo.

How come I've never seen this before? I grew up watching the Splits after they were in syndication, early-mid 70's.
Like to see more Fleegle the barber bits...hope he never tried giving Snorky a cut..wouldn't have any of Snorky left!

Fleegle's voice is the same as Tigger's isn't it?
LaddyDongdegs 4 years ago 2
Yes, it is, because they were both voiced by the same actor: Paul Winchell.
disneynut06 4 years ago
WERE...since Disney forgot who did Tigger and had turncoat Jim Cummings instead.:<
SteveCarras 3 years ago
Well Winchell is dead so they had to have somebody else do the voice now.
