  • Nice tone... Good song for the 'Changes' eh? Nice one. 5*

  • really nice man! i like it

  • The Gibson Johnny Smith is in my opinion the best guitar Gibson has made. The combination of the fully acoustic body and a floating mini humbucker (or two in this case) gives the best possible tone, with the responsiveness of the acoustic archtop. Shame that the L5 and Super 400 have massive humbuckers routed in the top!

  • Impressive!!!! At the pure Tony Mottola's style.

  • that dont sound like mottola to me, it sounds like herb ellis

  • That Johnny Smith looks like a dream to play! I have a '68 ES-175, which feels like a fretted violin. I love it! Long live '60s Gibson craftsmanship!

  • Good work, you're good at harmonisation, I also like to puzzle out how to harmonize a Standard then improvise,it's a fine approach, even playing with only bass works real well in this style, sounds very complete, watch your distortion on the bass though(soundwise) good work, greets Vic.
