Are you CRAZY!?! Just because its exactly the same, doesnt mean it REALLY is the same. Sure, apple can get you a discount on certain hardware items because they buy a lot of those hardware items for awhile, and just those. But one reason why people love PC building so much is that extreme customiziability! take an old industry standard, the 8800GT (GTS, GTX, GTX+, GTX2) there are just so many variations even for just one part, that people love it! I cant get xfire 65970s in my mac, can i?
If you honestly are trying to argue why a mac would ever be better than making your own pc just don't. What you do wrong in this video is that you try yourself to make a pc in which considering you have a mac shows me you most likely no experiance with computer parts AT ALL. If you wanted to unbaisly and accurately argue a custom build versus mac how about asking some one you know who built their own pc? I built my own pc tower for a good 1k and it will run circles around the mac "Pro" for 5k.
i think the Dell is a great display, even better then the Apple display and you can indeed get it for $860 OEM, 300 Candella is bright enough to make you eyes hurt when the screen is completely white so that isn't much of an issue (neither is the aspect ratio because 16:10 is much better for gaming and such). but because of the prices of these displays i prefer 3 22inch 1080P displays for less then $860.
Fucking rigged. Listen man, if you want a good monitor you don't buy expensive rip off shit from dell. Samsung has 30inch monitors with an assortment of input for under $500. And XFX is one of the most expensive graphic card sub vendors around. Bullshit that was the cheapest one you found. The 4850 in the iMac probably isn't even branded. I haven't even looked at the other parts yet, that's just the two I picked out.
@IniMiney I just got down playing Fallout 3 on my Mac, however I played it in Bootcamp via Windows 7. Which, by the way I like Windows 7 very much.
Comments like yours are ignorant, it assumes you can't play games on macs. Understand, not every Mac user is a fanboy. Sure this guy is a mac fanboy, but he is easily out numbered here by windows fanboys.
@animationmusicvideo Works great for me. I installed it to play games (I like PC games better than PS3 & XBOX), and right now I'm playing Oblivion with settings on full high. If I'm losing percentage than I haven't noticed it. Also, I have Fallout 3 on computer and playstation 3, looks way better on computer (plus I can use mods :D).
Errr the brightness is barely noticeable between 300-375 cd/m2 is barely noticeable, and no one actually goes that bright anyways, unless you like horribly saturated colors. 16:10 is a much better computer display aspect ratio too... and the 30" monitor is 1600p vs the 1440p of the mac display.
Seriously, you have no clue what you're talking about.
I dun knuh what dis OEM izz. Do your research before you talk about PCs, OEM is a barebones package. No nice box
Lol im a pc user, but soon goin to switch to 27'' imac and guess what, one guy tried to convince that you can build ultimate pc for 2k$, lol but the build + monitor = more than 2k$
For the record, that IPS Dell display far outclasses that of the iMac as IPS technology boasts superior color reproduction as well as viewing angles. It also bested the size of the iMac by three inches, which may seam insignificant but actually tacks on quite a premium.
It also got LED, and i have yet to find a 27" screen with both not made by apple. And you guys are calling AppleSoldier a moron for not doing any research?
@seettler i can't find 27inch display that are not made by appe either, i can find 25inch and 30inch but inbetween there is a big gap that no one is willing to fill but apple for some reason
@seettler at the moment there are yes, but at the time this video was uploaded there were just apple and Dell had one display i believe(but it was outdated)
mac: 2.199 US, core i7 @2.93 ghz, 4GB ram dual channel (FAIL!),ATI 5750 (LOL!) 1 TB, 27" monitor, and all the "small features" like camera, keyboard, etc.
look at this pc:
core i7 @2.93 GHZ... 12 GB of RAM at tripple channle (WIN!), 1 TB disk... black caviar!, ATI 5850 (win!), 650w corssair, windows 7 licence, blueray combo! (epic WIN), ASUS P6T Deluxe, Asus 27" display... and all the "small things" such camera, mic, muse, wireless mouse and kb, etc.
lets see, you rounded up the prices on EVERYTHING on the pc, you dont understand what the word OEM means, AND you added a bluetooth card to use a bluetooth keyboard/mouse not realizing they both come with dongles. FUCKING COMPUTERS HOW DO THEY WORK?!
memorys gpu and psu can have lifetime warrantys, olso cpus and boards got 3 years. most of items on amazon got shipping included on price and ofc tax, tbh he chose items in a manipulative way... lets be certain. custom build is cheaper. because it is custom build thats why!. olso many ppls screw it up building it.max has good stuff like os pc has their own. grab urs and dont step on others ppl stuff and stfu kid learn bout pcs b4 u argue..u like u buy u wtver u like stfu
I like Mac OS, the usability and interface of it. it's just that the hardware needed for it to run flawlessly is limited in variety. Look at the insanelymac forums with people trying to get it running without bugs and crashes on PC hardware. Even when they discontinued PowerPC architecture for Intel, Macs were always finicky about hardware and its design has only been optimized for a small amount of hardware configurations.
You kill me every time with these glossed over price arguments, I could build any of those machines, go to InsanelyMac, and have it up and running, plus looking better for way less of any of those prices, and I already know what your going to say cause I've been subscribed to you for ever, but Im tired of being lumped into the same category as your avg. lazy PC builder, my machines certainly don't look like "Home Made Bombs". And yes, I am already making a video just for you to show you.
I agree that some of the mac stuff looks nice, however from this video it looks like you don't know how to build a computer at all. Most likely you've just bought direct of apple, maybe from a store or w.e. First things first, i think the minimum warranty period on most PC components (if you get them from new egg) is 2 years, some parts are 3 years. So thats longer than your mac warranty. My computer has 10usb ports, so you don't need an add in card or hub. Saving pointless cost.
I understand that the iMac is better than any custom PC and I'm an Apple guy too, i also have an iMac 24" and 4 MacBook Pros, iPods, one iPad etc... But you said some incorrect things there. For example, 16:9 isn't better that 16:10, thats just the aspect ratio of the monitor.
And that fanboy attitude, what's that for? As result you have negative Like/Dislike ratio and PC fanboy comments. You could just make this comparison with some serenity.
@gamezwizard how do game sru on a mac? I have a mac at work and a pc at home for gaming. I think macs could be the way forward for gaming eventually, but at the moment aren't they're a lot of major games that don't work as well on macs or don't work as well as they do on a pc?
And wasn't the whole POINT of buying a Mac to get away from the so-called "awful" Windows experience? Now being able to run Windows is a feature to you guys?
And besides, if I want a new computer, all I have to do is upgrade a few parts of my custom machine on the cheap. YOU have to throw away your old one, drop another two grand, and pick up a totally new one.
I don't hate Apple's computers, but I hate their arrogance and their fanboys like you.
@Lndmk227 umm not really you dont have to throw the old mac i still have my mac from 2005 and im still running it right now and its still keeping up with the latest things.
Macs are meant to last longer. And with a PC you would have to keep buying extra parts.
You have no concept of how to build a computer. Your blind fanboyism is showing, please cover up (I didn't expect anything else with a name like AppleSoldier).
hold on let me get this straight.... you care more obout having a native mini displayport, (which you could just as easily get a $5 adapter for) than you do about the 409,600 pixels difference in resolution.
Small comment. I am looking at a new laptop. Searching the web compairing them, and about the stats of each.
The anger in your voice, the unflenching thought that you know more than everyone else, and not compairing parts fully makes it hard to take anything you say well. Remember if you throw around terms like fanboy, your starting by putting people on the defensive, and starting in a position of bias.
@700tmac I'm talking about the cheapest 27 iMac. At the time that this video was made, the cheapest iMac model had a core 2 duo chip in it. It was close to $2000. The Core i7 version was much more expensive.
If you spend just a bit more and choose real parts you will definitely get your money's worth. Mac's IMHO use very cheap parts.
That keyboard even for example doesn't even have screws its just double back taped together lol. Keyword cheap!!!, Macs are way overpriced cheapo parts.
You don't even know what brand hard drive you have is just another example.
Also furthermore I like to build my computers. I see your point though all in one design is very nice and eye candy. but real pc's rule.
The mini-Display port is a propriety port by Apple. It is a smaller version of "Display port". So of course Dell wouldn't put a mini-display port its completely pointless.
ok an iMac loks good works good everything is ok...but what if after 1 year if something malfunctions .. u cannaot vork on it let-s say the display gpu or anything even cheaper wtf u do than? U cannot run down to the store and say yak give me a gpu card for my imac i think mine is fried...Dream on dude ure FCKd ... no offence but when yo got lot of work to do u can-t afford a MACpro u-re kinda have to go with the pc ...
Also both have crap 1000:1 contrast ratio. Better off picking up two 23", 1080p monitors for about $400 total. That gets you a hell of a lot more desktop space anyway. This video really only makes sense if you make the Dell display mandatory. Otherwise it's stupid. I can shave $600 off and I won't be using crap laptop parts.
WINDOWS 7 > FAGGOT MAX OSX /G/ HATES YOU CAPSLOCK WHATS PUNCTUATION WINDOWS 7 > FAGGOT MAX OSX /G/ HATES YOU CAPSLOCK WHATS PUNCTUATION WINDOWS 7 > FAGGOT MAX OSX /G/ HATES YOU CAPSLOCK WHATS PUNCTUATION
cheapest? no you picked middle ground. Facts are facts and you don't need a lot of the shit you picked out. your just a macfag that doesn't get any joy of working to make a machine your own. You just want a cookie cutter computer....rich bitch cracka ass redneck.
So how far have you mac users gotten on Crysis? I like the storyline, it's a great game, multiplayer takes the base of the game and makes it even bet-
coolermaster haf 932 corsair 750w psu evga x58 motherboard core 17 920 overclocked to 3.5ghz 6gb ocz tripple channel 1600mhz memory bfg gtx 295 intel x25m 80gb solid state drive WD 1tb drive ati hd tv tuner creative sound car 28in 1920x1200 motior all for about 2300 bucks, kills the imac inEERY WAY POSSIBLE, which proves this guy doesnt know shit about building pcs
@Blitfast The reason for Apple being more "secured" is because most people use Windows not Apple so obviously people who program viruses are going to want do more damage and so they program for Window's users not Mac's in fact Mac's still get the viruses just their Anti-Virus program doesn't detect it sense It's for Windows. It's the same for Fire Fox vs Internet Explore.
Oh also why would you spend half your budget on a monitor, also how the hell do you forget a motherboard, you clearly don't know how a computer works.
For Warranty if you buy from good brands you usually get a few years or lifetime (however long that is). Also I hear Apple repair fees are high my friend apparently shattered her hard drive in her iMac (that's what apple said) it cost 400$ to replace. I don't know what size it was but I'm sure it's a 10 min job with a 60-100$ hard drive going in there.
You are a fuckin faggot. This is the product of inbreeding my friends. You have absolutely no friends and you should kill yourself. Go eat a dick you bitch-ass and go have sex with your pet chicken you fag ass whore bitch fuckin assfucker bitch. Go fuck a goat you red neck pc hatin dumbass. Nobody likes you so you should take your dad's dick out of your mouth and shove all of your apple shit down your throat and buy a real computer that you can watch your animal porn on. HOMO FUCK
Seriously dude WTF. You try making a custom PC the same as your IMac and the first thing on your list is a $1000 30" monitor....failed right there, since 27" monitors are much better, much cheaper (No A LOT cheaper), and a better display for everything all around. I guess it was the only way you could make a custom built PC more expensive than your IMac.
Expensive and cheap does not matter. Quality comes from quality brands. And it's rather ignorant to compare Mac to PC builds. Most Windows users don't want bluetooth input devices, or firewire, or webcams, remotes etc. We want performance for the money. We will build our computer so that we can play resource heavy games. When you built that custom built PC, you didn't shop around, and frankly you built a pretty mediocre computer. Come back with a more valid
353 idiots thought emeek knows computers, since when does anyone need mini display ports and bluetooth to use a computer, is that the standard in PC's emeek??
who gives a shit about having 30 usb ports, all m/b's come atleast with 6 ports plus 4-6 more onboard for the case ports
The reason I buy Mac hardware is because of the OS and the OS X-only apps I use. Having several Apple stinkers in my past and currently using a decently good Mac Pro 2006 (the one which won't be able to boot in 64bit kernel mode ever, won't run OpenCL cards, its DVD drive failed inmediately, etc.), I have to say: Apple hardware is overpriced, low-quality where they think they can get away with it, and a mix of actually brilliant ideas and utterly stupid ones.
EPIC WIN. I hate wires. I hate cables. I hate external crap. It's only more to load when you move it. I hate no warranty. I hate people who take the cheapest stuff and try to say it's just as good quality. I hate people who only look at price. Not to mention, that custom PC will still only last (at most) half as long as a Mac. Which means you'll spend twice as much for building it twice.
The iMac has just as many wires and cables as the PC. The only difference is that they are put in a much smaller place, which of course means the airflow will be worse. The all-in-one design isn't an advantage, it's a disadvantage.
>I hate no warranty
If you was the build I posted before, it had about twice the power, two monitors and all parts had at least 3 years warranty but most of them had 5 or lifetime. That's even better than Apples warranty.
I agree 100%. That's why I dislike Apple fanboys because they think they get more just because they pay more. No Apple product has very good quality, the quality is actually very bad if you compare for example the motherboard against one from Asus or Gigabyte, or the Power supply to one from Seasonic. Apple products does not have good quality just because they have a shiny case and cost more.
>That custom PC will still only last half as long as a Mac.
What? It has the exact same parts as the Mac, it will be just as powerful as the Mac, the only difference is that when the iMac is outdated then you'll have to buy a new one while the person with the PC can for example buy just a new processor, or a new processor and graphics card.
@Rifalltoo sorry but no, thats fine if you like the all in one formfactor, i dont like any computer i cant get inside, i dont like wires either which is why i have a good case with good cable managment, A LOT of parts have lifetime warrenties, not all but a lot do even some of the cheaper ones have 3 years, and how is it only going to last half as long? obviously you dont know to much about building pcs
wait i dont know if anyone noticed this. y'all mustve but.. 3 inches more please! i can see more! 27inch vs. 30 inch! i am starting to feel like this whole video is retarded for that reason alone was supposed to be ignored or disqualified. so.. just returning back on my free time to visit AppleSoldier/Emeek77 as my memories of a PC vs. Mac insecure mofo. oh btw. mini display port is not a bonus, hardly anyone has a fucking mac still so quit swinging ur dick everywhere.
@MarTuv93 Well said, but one thing you forgot to mention is the poor working conditions of Foxconn. In fact they are so poor that few Foxconn workers have committed suicide... so that's nice of apple isn't it?
I also love how this mentally challenged guy knows nothing about computer parts, if he had any sense in him. He would realise half the components he added come built in as standard into a motherboard, and motherboard can be had cheaply for relatively little money!
Didn't even watch the video because i know its some Applefanboy stuff but the video title couldn't be worse, its like comparing Custom Built i7 for Custom Built Pentium 4 computer, ofcourse theres price difference goddamnit.
You applefanboys should do Mac VS PC with the same specs and see which one is cheaper.
And nobody like the big screens of Macs, they're like mirrors.
Not only does the ThinkPad have superior hardware but it's also made out of carbon fiber. You can throw it on the ground and stomp on it and it won't even get a scratch.
It's also cheaper and spillproof which means that you can pour a glass of water on the keyboard and it'll still work.
@MarTuv93 I trust that an Intel i7 should be better but you compared i7 quad core to i7 dual core right? A computer isn't necesserily better because of better specs, even though it should. Sorry for miss spellings.
Of course a computer with better specs will be better than one with worse hardware. I assume you think Windows will be slower compared to OS X on the same hardware but that's false and not based on any real facts.
The truth is that most programs will actually run better on a Windows machine because the Mac version is just a poorly optimized ports, or you have to run it through bootcamp which also slows things down.
@MarTuv93 I appreciate your not-so-bad-attitude reply. I used Windows many years before switching to a Mac. I haven't even had it for a year so I can't say much about how the speed maintains after several years of usage. The PC that I previously used though got sluggish. One thing that I know for sure though, is that I think that the applications made for Mac are better.
the point that everyone seems to miss even Emeek is that it's all about preference. not who's better or who's worse but what you prefer over the next guy. And microsoft and apple have been working together for the last 22+ years. the very first apple computer with a graphics interface used the microsoft floating point program that bill gates hand delivered to steve jobs for a whopping 30 some thousand dollars and have been working together on other projects as well
@foilpact the only dell laptop with 1gb of graphics is an alienware M17x and its base price is $1949.00 in the US. and it only has a 250 GB 7,000 rpm SATA. and I wasn't aware that the 330m was ancient. Again you are comparing a laptop that was built for GAMING with a regular laptop. it's not a fair comparrison considering that all the other dell laptops have 256MB or less of graphics on a dedicated card or just the basic integrated graphics card.
@FadoraBrothers It was on the Uk website but my prices were out a little... It was £680 standard or just over £800 with bluray and dedicated gfx, Standard it has Ati HD5470 1GB but i think its 512 ded+512 shared... It was a Dell Studio i think which is a standard laptop, The same usage design as a Macbook really... Yet £900 cheaper because it doesnt come with a 95% freeware GNU Os...
Holy crap, this guy is a moron. My 26 inch Samsung display cost less than 500 dollars, and this computer I'm sitting at cost me less than 1600 dollars total. It is much faster than the Macs I can find on Apples website, not to mention way over twice as cheap.
has naybody noticed that the iMac is an all-in-one? i dare you PC's that are hating on the iMac to find another all-in-one that has better specs than it does. Jesus Christ. you all are pissed off about something that dosn't even matter. it's your opinion and guess what, only you and your mom cares what your opinions are. I like both of them but i prefer the Mac OS due to ease of use and the fact that it has never crashed on me.
We all know the iMac is an all-in-on but the fact is that all all-in-on computers are crap when it comes to hardware. They can't stick any powerful parts in there because they wouldn't fit or would overheat.
I'd like to see my graphics card in an all-in-one computer (it's about 11 inches long).
@MarTuv93 except that your argument has everything to do with a tower. you can fit the 13 inch 5970 into the Mac Pro. your argument is that Macs suck because of hardware. the only mac i see you bitching about is the iMac which is an all-in-one, and still manages to fit the new i7's. no other all-in-one has that, that i know of anyways. and it' just doesn't make sense to compare a towered PC to an All-in-one iMac. Find another All-in-one with better specs than the iMac
As I said before I don't care about if it's an all-in-on or not. You'll still have it on a desk so I don't see the advantage of having the computer stuck to the monitor.
Even if you could fit my graphics card (radeon 5870) in an iMac (I doubt that it'll fit) it still wouldn't work because it would overheat thanks to the non existing airflow.
@MarTuv93 heat rises, everyone knows that and the iMac has a slot running it's entire length at the top of the back panel that allows for efficient air flow. and my iMac will run graphics intensive software and never go above 74C on the GPU at default fan speed. and never above 57 at medium speed. i block rude ass people and i deleted most of my videos because i got tired of everyone leaving hate comments because of my opinion. if you don't like my opinion then don't watch my video.
Yes you are right that heat rises but do you know how hot real graphic cards get? The only reason why your card can stay so cool is because it's not nearly as powerful as a 5870.
@TehVinceShow Really. What numbers and letters of code are in the first line of code in Windows 7? I live near Microsoft. Unless your like Bill Gates himself then thats different. But Bill would never expose himself. Stop using all caps it's super annoying.
To everyone that says Apple has so good quality products, it's obvious that you don't know how Macs are made.
If you take a Mac apart you'll find very low quality components made in the Foxconn factory. I would never use a motherboard made by Foxconn in any of my custom built PCs because their quality is shit compared to Gigabyte or Asus.
Stop saying Apple products have superb quality because it's actually shitty components with a shiny case around them.
@MarTuv93 Indeed. Almost all of Apple's products have motherboards made by Foxconn who as we all know make the shittiest generic motherboards in the world.
@MarTuv93 No, not in the newer macs. The MacBook Pros insides are made completely by apple. I know cause I did take one apart and it said Apple on all the pieces. Macs also don't have that annoying double click tiny trackpad without any multitouch gestures of any kind. And what PC laptop has a 10 hour battery life? Most musicians on the earth use mac. Most graphic designers use macs, I agree PCs are great too. But don't bash everything. Your just a crusty old man. lol ew
Just because it has an Apple logo on it doesn't mean it's made by Apple.
I'd like to know where you get all these facts from. Last time I checked pretty much all companies like Dreamworks used Linux.
I don't see how Macs are better for any production purpose because the fact is that you can get a much more powerful PC for the same price and if you're serious about work then you should try to minimalism your rendering time.
I'd never do any 3D edition on a Mac, it would take ages.
How many different CPUs can you choose from? How many different HDDs can you choose from? How man different cases can you choose from?
Saying that you can customize a Mac is just stupid. Sure you can choose from maybe 3 different kinds of processors but that's not even close of how many you have to choose from if you buy a custom built PC.
But the build he did was shit. I mean seriously. I could make a twice as good build with multiple monitors for less than that and I've already proved it in a previous post.
He doesn't even know what the parts does so he picks some of the worse price:performance part I've ever seen. Not to mention that he picks old hardware that has ~40% worse performance but only costs 5% less compared to the up to date equivalent.
Please kid, learn to write properly before you try to argue with someone. Reading what you wrote hurt my eyes.
Do you know how long it takes for me to put a computer together? About an hour, installing Windows/Linux and all the drivers takes another hour at max.
Putting a computer together is just like Lego. It's actually easier than Lego because the parts only fit in one place, it's literally impossible to put something in the wrong place unless you use a hammer.
No, as I said before the build in the video is crap. I can make a much better system with better parts, multi-screen setup and higher quality (much higher than the shitty quality of the iMac).
And Please Stop Type Like This. It hurt my eyes and makes you look stupid.
@MarTuv93 The only reason your mentioning a Foxconn factory is because of the recent suicides that have happened there. I before that you didn't know shit about foxconn.
@eqfake Not really in the quality of the inside of the computer but he makes a big deal of it being made at a Foxconn factory and teats why they suck. Which they don't/
Foxconn do have bad quality products. Just compare a Foxconn motherboard against for example one from Asus.
I visit a very popular technology forum and I have never seen anyone recommend a Foxconn motherboard/power supply because they are crap compared to quality brands like Asus and Seasonic.
Oh that's strange because Asus has their own fabrics and most of them aren't even located in the same country as the Foxconn factory...
Also, even IF Asus uses some parts from Foxconn then they have been better binned because statistics shows that Asus, Gigabyte and MSI have lower failure rate.
@MarTuv93 Man i work in a computer store and let me tel you a thing, if you buy a expensive Foxconn mainbord you have good quality, if you cheap you get cheap quality. if you buy a expensive Asus you get quality if you buy cheap you get cheap.
Strange because the statistics I've seen shows the complete opposite. Even the very cheap Asus motherboards (less than 100 dollars) have about 3% failure rate. That is pretty impressive when you compare it to other, not well known brands which top at about 10% failure rate.
I haven't seen any Foxconn statistics but I'd guess it's at about 5%.
@MarTuv93 dude foxconn is a whole scale manufacturer they make parts for everyone. Your Asus board was probably made in a factory like foxconn or even by foxconn. and your custome PC wouldnt last half as long as my lenovo t400. lets see how many unmentionable liquids can be poured on your pc.
@MarTuv93 because the mac vs pc comparison is a stupid one. Their both computers and both do things better than the other. for most users a mac is easier to use however for power user your better off going with a pc. i like to compare the practicality of different computers. FYI a custom tower is a waist of money this day and age mac or otherwise.
>FYI a custom tower is a waist of money this day and age mac or otherwise.
I don't agree. I have a custom tower that I use for gaming/movies/programming. I choose the parts I wanted and didn't spend a cent more than I wanted. I also picked the exact parts I wanted and felt like they suited my needs.
I don't see that as a waste of money.
Also, your ThinkPad vs custom PC test is a bit unfair because you picked a test that the ThinkPad has a huge advantage in (spill test).
This video is an absolute fail, I love Macs personally. But this is not a good comparison, not a healthy or viable one. I would of thought you being an Apple fan boy, you would of realized the Mac's true strengths, which is its quality, precision and ease of use.

Seriously, you have no clue what you're talking about.

For the record, that IPS Dell display far outclasses that of the iMac as IPS technology boasts superior color reproduction as well as viewing angles. It also bested the size of the iMac by three inches, which may seam insignificant but actually tacks on quite a premium.

I like Mac OS, the usability and interface of it. it's just that the hardware needed for it to run flawlessly is limited in variety. Look at the insanelymac forums with people trying to get it running without bugs and crashes on PC hardware. Even when they discontinued PowerPC architecture for Intel, Macs were always finicky about hardware and its design has only been optimized for a small amount of hardware configurations.
ccricers 1 year ago
You kill me every time with these glossed over price arguments, I could build any of those machines, go to InsanelyMac, and have it up and running, plus looking better for way less of any of those prices, and I already know what your going to say cause I've been subscribed to you for ever, but Im tired of being lumped into the same category as your avg. lazy PC builder, my machines certainly don't look like "Home Made Bombs". And yes, I am already making a video just for you to show you.
BlaMurda 1 year ago

Anyway, the iMac is definately better for me.

But ... you also have to BUY Windows...?
And wasn't the whole POINT of buying a Mac to get away from the so-called "awful" Windows experience? Now being able to run Windows is a feature to you guys?
And besides, if I want a new computer, all I have to do is upgrade a few parts of my custom machine on the cheap. YOU have to throw away your old one, drop another two grand, and pick up a totally new one.
I don't hate Apple's computers, but I hate their arrogance and their fanboys like you.

Small comment. I am looking at a new laptop. Searching the web compairing them, and about the stats of each.

A very long time Mac user here:

This video is epic win.
Rifalltoo 1 year ago
@Rifalltoo
>I hate wirse I hate cables
The iMac has just as many wires and cables as the PC. The only difference is that they are put in a much smaller place, which of course means the airflow will be worse. The all-in-one design isn't an advantage, it's a disadvantage.
>I hate no warranty
If you was the build I posted before, it had about twice the power, two monitors and all parts had at least 3 years warranty but most of them had 5 or lifetime. That's even better than Apples warranty.
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@Rifalltoo
>I hate people who only look at price.
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@Rifalltoo
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@Rifalltoo sorry but no, thats fine if you like the all in one formfactor, i dont like any computer i cant get inside, i dont like wires either which is why i have a good case with good cable managment, A LOT of parts have lifetime warrenties, not all but a lot do even some of the cheaper ones have 3 years, and how is it only going to last half as long? obviously you dont know to much about building pcs

Not only does the ThinkPad have superior hardware but it's also made out of carbon fiber. You can throw it on the ground and stomp on it and it won't even get a scratch.
It's also cheaper and spillproof which means that you can pour a glass of water on the keyboard and it'll still work.

@Fajlix

I used Windows many years before switching to a Mac. has naybody noticed that the iMac is an all-in-one? i dare you PC's that are hating on the iMac to find another all-in-one that has better specs than it does. Jesus Christ. you all are pissed off about something that dosn't even matter. it's your opinion and guess what, only you and your mom cares what your opinions are. I like both of them but i prefer the Mac OS due to ease of use and the fact that it has never crashed on me.
FadoraBrothers 1 year ago
@FadoraBrothers
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 except that your argument has everything to do with a tower. you can fit the 13 inch 5970 into the Mac Pro. your argument is that Macs suck because of hardware. the only mac i see you bitching about is the iMac which is an all-in-one, and still manages to fit the new i7's. no other all-in-one has that, that i know of anyways. and it' just doesn't make sense to compare a towered PC to an All-in-one iMac. Find another All-in-one with better specs than the iMac
FadoraBrothers 1 year ago
@FadoraBrothers

@FadoraBrothers
By the way, why did you ban me from your channel page and deleted the video I commented on? Did you realize I was right?
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 heat rises, everyone knows that and the iMac has a slot running it's entire length at the top of the back panel that allows for efficient air flow. and my iMac will run graphics intensive software and never go above 74C on the GPU at default fan speed. and never above 57 at medium speed. i block rude ass people and i deleted most of my videos because i got tired of everyone leaving hate comments because of my opinion. if you don't like my opinion then don't watch my video.
FadoraBrothers 1 year ago
@FadoraBrothers
Yes you are right that heat rises but do you know how hot real graphic cards get? The only reason why your card can stay so cool is because it's not nearly as powerful as a 5870.

MarTuv93 1 year ago 48
@MarTuv93 Indeed. Almost all of Apple's products have motherboards made by Foxconn who as we all know make the shittiest generic motherboards in the world.
LauxHawk 1 year ago
@LauxHawk: If I'm not mistaken, the earlier Xbox 360 motherboard carried a sticker by foxconn :D
MDxm3000 1 year ago
@MDxm3000 Which is why they all died.
LauxHawk 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 No, not in the newer macs. The MacBook Pros insides are made completely by apple. I know cause I did take one apart and it said Apple on all the pieces. Macs also don't have that annoying double click tiny trackpad without any multitouch gestures of any kind. And what PC laptop has a 10 hour battery life? Most musicians on the earth use mac. Most graphic designers use macs, I agree PCs are great too. But don't bash everything. Your just a crusty old man. lol ew
FASSY524 1 year ago
@FASSY524
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 You can customize your mac also.
rednes800 1 year ago
@rednes800
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 And What??
Really
This Price Is WITHOUT THIS EXPENSIVE AND GOOD QUALITY MOTHERBOARD AND WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64 BIT
And We Have Almost The Chipest PArts That We Can Find
All The Brans Of The PArts In The Video Are Really Bad Quality
PLUS YOU NEED TO BUILD IT AND INSTALL THE DRIVERS AND BLABLA
iLoveeApple 1 year ago
@iLoveeApple
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@iLoveeApple

@MarTuv93 EVEN
And What You Think That All The Parts In The Video Are High Quality
And Try To Imagine That Are Even Cheaper On The Web.......
So.......
iLoveeApple 1 year ago
@iLoveeApple
No, as I said before the build in the video is crap. I can make a much better system with better parts, multi-screen setup and higher quality (much higher than the shitty quality of the iMac).
And Please Stop Type Like This. It hurt my eyes and makes you look stupid.
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 OK thanks for advice
iLoveeApple 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 The only reason your mentioning a Foxconn factory is because of the recent suicides that have happened there. I before that you didn't know shit about foxconn.
moiveman1 1 year ago
@moiveman1 Does that make a difference?
eqfake 1 year ago
@eqfake Not really in the quality of the inside of the computer but he makes a big deal of it being made at a Foxconn factory and teats why they suck. Which they don't/
moiveman1 1 year ago
@moiveman1
Foxconn do have bad quality products. Just compare a Foxconn motherboard against for example one from Asus.
I visit a very popular technology forum and I have never seen anyone recommend a Foxconn motherboard/power supply because they are crap compared to quality brands like Asus and Seasonic.
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 totaly agree... i hate apple.
IThinksAlot 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 I see a lot of Gigatbyte or Asus Mainbords with Foxconn Components, so what did you say.?
vwxy20z 1 year ago
@vwxy20z
Oh that's strange because Asus has their own fabrics and most of them aren't even located in the same country as the Foxconn factory...
Also, even IF Asus uses some parts from Foxconn then they have been better binned because statistics shows that Asus, Gigabyte and MSI have lower failure rate.
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 Man i work in a computer store and let me tel you a thing, if you buy a expensive Foxconn mainbord you have good quality, if you cheap you get cheap quality. if you buy a expensive Asus you get quality if you buy cheap you get cheap.
vwxy20z 1 year ago
@vwxy20z
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 dude foxconn is a whole scale manufacturer they make parts for everyone. Your Asus board was probably made in a factory like foxconn or even by foxconn. and your custome PC wouldnt last half as long as my lenovo t400. lets see how many unmentionable liquids can be poured on your pc.
shively1234 1 year ago
@shively1234
Why are you even comparing my PC vs your ThinkPad?
MarTuv93 1 year ago
@MarTuv93 because the mac vs pc comparison is a stupid one. Their both computers and both do things better than the other. for most users a mac is easier to use however for power user your better off going with a pc. i like to compare the practicality of different computers. FYI a custom tower is a waist of money this day and age mac or otherwise.
shively1234 1 year ago
@shively1234
MarTuv93 1 year ago
This video is an absolute fail, I love Macs personally. But this is not a good comparison, not a healthy or viable one. I would of thought you being an Apple fan boy, you would of realized the Mac's true strengths, which is its quality, precision and ease of use.
