  • isn't the 15 year old too young to view this? or is it ok because they may not understand?

  • @lilfreakcaff Why would they be too young?

  • @lilfreakcaff im 16 now and i fully understand pink floyd i have every album ever made i started listening to them when i was around 14 and i know the messages roger was trying to send through his albums

  • @TheTrident003 you said "i fully understand pink floyd" lol yeah right... so maybe "the wall" resonates with you... you are too young to understand some of their albums trust me you will never stop noticing more and more powerful messages. your understanding is miniscule. cool that you are a fan though, keep listening

  • im going to see them in concert in mexico, im so fucking lucky!!!!

  • Dear LSD....Please come back. We Miss you.

  • i remember this was the first part i ever saw of the Wall

i was at least eleven and i hated how depressing everything was and i couldnt understand the flowers

i even asked my Dad why he liked the movie

he said he hated the movie but the songs were beast

    now i agree with him

  • OMG i@m 3 and I luve pinkf floid its my fave band next to you me at six and mcfly

  • This is the sort of sinister looking visions that I had when I was made ill by the fumes of an extremely toxic paint that affecting me in the summer of 1997. It was not intended.

  • i am going have to tell my biology teacher that she is a dumb bitch and that this is how flowers reproduce

  • @zwise191 THIS GUYZ COMMENT DESERVES TOP COMMENT I SWEAAR XD imagine this being the first commen u see when this video is loading? XD

  • @freecake1 just gave him top

  • Let the search begin for TheArcticPhoenix's comment begin.

  • ROGER WATERS Y U NO PUT THIS SONG ON THE WALL?!

  • @legolover2781 Because of length issues he had to cut it and rewrite the first part and so we have Empty Spaces in the album instead of What Shall We Do Now? Which they included in the movie and the subsequent tours, until this day

  • @ibriselric2 *Facepalm* I knew that. i was making a joke.

  • @ibriselric2 But why did they leave out the best part of the song?

  • @ibriselric2

It does however show up on the 'live' album in its proper place. Very rare though

  • 3:54 is awesome!

  • boobs on youtube!

  • irony is a bitch

  • 20 people's backs are to the wall.

  • So was the 2nd half ever released on a studio album?

  • FUCKIN TRIPPY

  • Seeing roger waters do a wall concert in may. so fucking ecited

  • @TheDevilsInch At&t park?

  • @TheDevilsInch I'm seeing him in Feb in Australia. Gonna be amazing.

  • @olly123451 me too

  • my album of the wall doesn't have the second half of this song

  • @KingThorsson It was taken off of the vinyl because of time restraints. They figured as long as they kept Empty Spaces, then the story would still be understandable.

  • @KingThorsson It's on "Is there anybody out there?" Which is the Live version of the Wall.

I actually prefer that version, it's got more feel to it.

  • @olly123451 I agree. I think the live version, is much better then the original.

  • @KingThorsson The full version of this song was cut down in length to fit on the vinyl album when it was first recorded. Four sides wasn't enough room for Roger.

  • Im only 41058324 years old and i love pink floyd!

  • congratulations hunter you just discovered the secret message, send your answer to old Pink...

  • I'm two and I really enjoy Pink Floyd as well... Also I have prefect grammar and a Youtube account.

  • Gilmour's guitar sounds so badass!

  • @Floydian1384 When doesn't it?

  • @Aw3som3P3rson It's usually spacy, not badass.

  • @Floydian1384 Opinions opinions :3

  • is this a movie? or is it ment to go with the song?

  • the full version of this song got dropped from the original album. THe lyrics were there on the sleeve, but the long was lost.

  • LOL in the DVD documentary, Roger Water's called this, the Fucking Flowers

  • @Colin2k41 It makes sense

  • this is actually a pretty good song, its a shame it got dropped from the album

  • @666MattsGuitar666 it wasn't, it's called Empty Spaces, they changed it abit for the movie

  • @lidorsa

I know that, its just that this version is pretty cool.

  • 19 people had their backs to the wall.

  • This incredible "Musical and Humanitarian Genius" is now touring the Whole Wide-World to "WAKE The Masses UP!" to what is Happening to "OUR WORLD and CIVILISATIONS" so WE an ALL "Wake-UP!" and Publicly EXPOSE the Hidden Parasites who are stealthily and systematically orchestrating the Whole-World's Demise; but I wonder just how many actually know What His Lyrics MEAN? wake-upbeforeitstoolate(dot)com will expose to you what is happening in OUR World; and WHO is Orchestrating its Demise

  • You know, when I first saw this movie, I had a visceral hatred for the guy banging Pink Floyd's wife.

Then it turns out it was all Pink Floyd's fault. Poor bastard.

  • Fuck!! i Love Pink floyd music, and Gerald Scarfe animations!!!

  • Next time I get to have sex, I want this song to play, and get in exactly at 1:49.

  • This was my FAVORITE part of the movie. Long live the FLOYD!!!

  • I'm nearly 14 an me and my dad went to see Roger perform The Wall in Birmingham earlier this year. And I have to say, it was the single greatest day of my life so far. Fantastic show, and it really got me into Floyd.

  • The artwork in this film has to be some of the best I've ever seen!!! The don't make it like this anymore...

  • This has to be the only titty shown on YouTube....

  • Cut from the album (not a bad precis of the whole thing!)... "Not enough room for it". Lyrics still on sleeve artwork though. Quite a chilling Scarfe animation, Waters obviously still had "issues".

  • 240p we meet again

  • que coisa estranha é esta? apareceu que este vídeo tem conteudo bloqueado no brasil?

    so pode ser virus, kkk

  • @legacic Como assim? Eu posso ver aqui. E quando bloqueiam o vídeo, é por causa de direitos autorais. Não tem nada a ver com vírus.

  • Im only 15. I do not represent people of my age and their choice of music.

I fucking love pink floyd, and before I die, I must meet Roger Waters.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix yes you do, I'm sure even kids back then all had their differences, don't be superior

  • @TheArcticPhoenix I'm 20 man, got into pink floyd at about 15 too, I've seen Roger Waters do the full Dark Side of the Moon and have tickets to see him do The Wall. Theres nothing like it.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix more like before he dies lol

  • @TheArcticPhoenix I must meet him too!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix good luck with that

  • @TheArcticPhoenix it should be... before roger dies

  • @TheArcticPhoenix i saw him live once peforming the wall.

i strongly suggest it, it's a whole new experience.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix I'm excited because hes coming back to vancouver for the wall tour!! 1 last chance to see the greatest song writer of all time play live!!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix you mean before he dies, being that you are 15...

  • @gheist420

No. He meant before he dies because Roger Waters is a god.

  • @gheist420 ROGER WATERS IS IMMORTAL YOU IGNORANT!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix If you live around Philadelphia, you'll be able to catch him at the Phillies stadium next June :D

  • @TheArcticPhoenix You'd better hurry then, because by the looks of him, he'll be dead by the time you're 16.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheArcticPhoenix I'm 19 and I don't give a fuck, shut up and just let people enjoy their music already you snob.

  • @CaptainHollyShort I said it was good, did i say otherwise? And if you dont give a fuck, why say? Its like someone going onto a P!NK song just to say "this music sucks"

  • @TheArcticPhoenix My point is that it is REALLY irritating to go onto every single fucking video on youtube and see HURR DURR I LISTEN TO PINK FLOYD WOW I'M SO EDGY IN A SEA OF PEOPLE WHO LIKE JUSTIN BEAVER. Yeah, we get it, you're a special snowflake, just like everyone else who is 15 and listens to Pink Floyd. The rest of us just listen to it and enjoy it without stomping our feet about how much better we are than everyone else.

  • @CaptainHollyShort I didn't mention being better than everyone else, did I? I didn't say I was being edgy. I enjoy Pink Floyd, and I'm telling people about it. What is wrong with that? Nothing.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix im 14 and im right there with you!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix DUDE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix so wise for your age.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix Get a floor ticket for his Wall live tour. That may be your best chance.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix Shut the fuck up... im 15 as well and i dont feel the need to post stupid comments like yours.

  • @x5caxcr5x And you did it anyway, faggot.

  • @TheArcticPhoenix xtop saying yer ages that pisses me off big whoop you wernt born when the floyd went on tour and you like the music congradulations

you wont meet waters by the way :)

  • @TheArcticPhoenix Me and u both im 16 and im the same exact way!

  • @TheArcticPhoenix Wow that's good for you that you are 15 ;)

  • Song gives me chills every single time! A fucking plus!!!!

  • When stoners kids are at the right age, they use this clip to show them what life truly means, aside from pot of course.

(P.S. This animation style looks like a cross between Ralph Bakshi, Terry GIlliam and Ralph Steadman)

  • It would be bad watching this while on LSD.

  • 2:24 "... and then the vagina plant ate the penis plant."

  • Pure artistic genius! Roger Waters for uncontested master of conceptual expression.

  • Why is empty spaces only the into on the album and not the whole song??? Why isn't Hey You in the movie???

  • @wndebu Hey You was originaly in the movie but Roger Waters had it taken out because he thoght the movie would be to long and the audience whould be bored. BIG mistake.

  • @tyukodi91 It wasn't only because of that. It was taken out for the reason that the movie was too depressing, but still i agree it was a mistake.

  • @wndebu they didnt manage to get a properly filmed scene for hey you before going into post along with the show must go on, and the additional audio was recorded for the film after the album had been made. the actual soundtrack for the film was never released until "every brick in the wall" was put out.

there are also snippets from the final cut and the pros and cons of hitchhiking in the spoken word pieces from the nazi pink scenes. and of course the poetry from dark side in school.

  • @wndebu Hey You was filmed but they ran out of time and never produced it. If you buy "The Wall" special release 2005, the raw film is in the special features. Pretty scary stuff, actually. Worth looking into.

  • why fullscrean no work??

  • the mp40 is pro :D

  • click 1:02 to go to animation

  • kinda sad how it ends in the wall album... This saved my day!

  • Mother of god! That woman had no nipples!

  • Argggggg, Why are half the comments on any Floyd vid about stoners or being stoned?

  • @diatras You're watching a trippy video with Pink Floyd and the channel name is legalizethegreen....haha >--/-D:

  • what do you think we shall do to fill tha empty space?......

ohhhh amazing!!!!!!!!!!this song is so meaningfull and right that everyone have 2 know it:)))))

  • your reaction?

    orgasmic

  • Seminal although i hate the word :)

  • @181zebras That bloke had done something seminal with Pink's wife.

  • Everything about this is so amazing that i'm gonna have to change my underwear!

  • Best part of the movie, sadly, part of it was left out of "The Wall" studio album.

To sanimalscoolzfriend; Think Tarantino, and I hate to relate it that way, but much of the movie is out of order. By the tenth time watching it, you should start to understand, Pink lost his dad to the war, now has a hole in his life, rejects his wife due to his own issues...the rest of the details you really need to process on your own

  • Roger Waters went through a lot of shit.

  • can anyone explain this movie for me? i must of watched it 10 times now and I really dont get it :P

  • @sanimalscoolzfriend when your high this film makes perfect sense.

  • @zR750gUY LOL

  • @sanimalscoolzfriend I agree with the other poster. This is one of those movies that one absolutely must watch while high. The whole movie is a deeply religious allegory about the drive to be free of the trappings of samsaric existence. Or something like that

  • @Todeskaefer win!

  • @sanimalscoolzfriend i dont think anyone but waters him self understands this album complety i think i understand the basics then i listen to it again and have to second guess myself thats the fun about music you wont really ever understand it (well good music where the artist took time and effort to create it compared to todays popular music) but to even try to describe it to you would fill up this and many more comment space so id recomend to just get the album and figuer it out your self

  • @Mastertroll3000 Amen to that! well i've bought the album and let me say its not easy :P

  • @sanimalscoolzfriend no sir it is not easy iv listend to the wall at least 30 to 40 times in one sitting its the most discriptive vague metophorical and vivid album iv ever come across im sure im going to get some hate for this but i find pink floyd to be way more tallented then the beatles now dont get me wrong i love the beatles but they never wrote anything as powerfull as the wall dark side wish you were here and animals i cant compare thoughs 4 albums to anything. the beatles i can compare

  • @Mastertroll3000 i agree with you, you just cant beat Pink Floyd. but you have to give credit to The Beatles because without them to revolutionize rock and roll Pink Floyd might not even been here.

  • @SkullCeations i completly agree with you man the beatles where the pionerees man they set the path for nearly everything that followes the beatles made 4 to 5 people bands popular with out them music as we know today wouldnt exsist even though its gone really down hill with current popular artists singing about the same fucking things with diffrent shity beats but there are still a few people out there creating good quility music though they wont get the credit they deserve

  • @Mastertroll3000 i guess roky erickson and his ilk just get left out in the cold on their contributions to the psychedelic era then.

including their coining of the term "psychedelic rock"

shouldnt mention people like stockhausen or tommy james either i suppose.

while the beatles were AROUND in the early 60s, they were far from the leading edge of their style of music, which they hadnt heard to steal from the people mentioned above yet.

  • @watchoosay i was talking about the basic influence you ask any rockstar who inspired them and at least one of them will say the beatles i understand that there are many many more people who contrubited to rock and other rock related genras but seeing as the beatles continued wrighting well past the early 60 with such examples of sgt. pepper coming out in 67 and let it be in 70 they were a majory influence as a whole if you want to look at detalis yes there were others that contrubited

  • @Mastertroll3000 i was actually talking about the people that clearly were directly responsible for the beatles style in the first place.

the beatles didnt inoovate anything really, what they did was water down other innovations and package them in a more easily swallowed pill for the masses.

  • @watchoosay exactly they made it popular but whos to say they did it for the masses who says that wasint just there style and they wrote thier music for them selfes and it got accepted by the masses i mean the beatles could have been anybody its all luck really in the end there are so many talented artists who dont ever get recognized. but i wouldnt know anyone before the beatles my music playlist kind of stops at the beatles i just havent dug any deeper im starting to get into blues though

  • @watchoosay Must we start this argument? That's a very ignorant statement to be making, choose wisely how your going to defend it.

  • @camarorider67 statements of fact are ignorant now, are they?

you fail life. beat yourself to death with a ball peen hammer.

  • @watchoosay Considering that The Beatles revolutionized how music is recorded and produced, then yes. Their music influenced every band that was formed after 1964. All 4 of The Beatles influnced the use of their respective instruments everywhere. They changed the fabric of culture itself. They were the first rock band to use guitar feedback, double tracking was invented while The Beatles were recording Revolver, their influnece on music is greater than you or I can comprehend.

  • @camarorider67 perhaps you should reread my original post on the subject and maybe ask someone who knows who any of the people i mentioned in it are when they started doing what you think the beatles innovated.

  • @watchoosay I'm not saying The Beatles didn't steal some earlier music. They did but so has any band since the 50's. The only musician who can say they didn't steal any of their music is Robert Johnson, and depending on if you believe the legends or not, he may have stolen his songs from the devil. The Beatles influnece is so big because they affected every aspect of music, not just their songs.

  • @Mastertroll3000 Im glad there are people out their that agree with me.

  • @SkullCeations Right!! theres not many of us left man people would rather be told what to listen to then dig deep into the roots of there own selfs to find what they actualy enjoy my friends rag on me a lot for loving blues but classic rock is ok with them yet theres a ton of blues in classic rock. but ya man its nice to know there are people with sense in this world hahaha

  • as much as i love the floyd, i've never been a fan of the movie or the animations - i love roger too, but to me this was his own selfish doing - i don't need his guidance into what mental imagery to have while listening to his great music...i have my own,(and that's why it's music) - the music is why i bought the record - not the disgusting cartoons..

  • If I ever have a child, I'm going to use this to explain sex to them

  • @coast3dg3 your sick

  • @srslycool10 You're*.

  • @srslycool10

Cute little newfag doesn't understand humor. So cute. :3

  • @coast3dg3 If I ever have a child, I'm going to use this to explain life to them.

  • @coast3dg3 That child will remain a virgin for the rest of his life.

  • @Ichiboy900 lol, yes, I thought the same thing.

  • What Shall We Use To

    Complete The Wall?

  • 15 people have empty skull

  • my dad has the original album and it has what shall we do now - disaster avoided - album complete

  • You know, I like Pink Floyd VERY much and The Wall album I consider as the BEST I've ever heard, but unfortunately I've changed my mind because of last years' events:

Now I see a lot of masonic elements in that movie, in lyrics, in music. There are A LOT OF intimations to be just a coincidence!

So, I guess they compose their music as prophets of New World Order!

  • @MrScorpideus ORLY? o_O Where have you found them?

  • you are talking bullshits

  • @MrScorpideus Would be so kind to point some of those elements out? and that doesnt mean that Roger is pro-masonry.

  • @MrScorpideus Actually you wrong, Pink Floyd is very Anti-Illuminati/Masonry, Their most successfull album "The Dark Side of the Moon", has the illuminati triangle on it and even the cover shows that once you go through the "All seeing Eye" (Illuminati) you will see the world through its real colors. but then they came out with the album "Wish You Were Here" which has a cover showing a man shaking hands with another man who is on fire, referring to shaking hands with the devil, Reffering to.....

  • @footballbeast13 ..... The illuminati and making a deal with the music industry. And the songs "Welcome to the Machine" and "Have a Cigar" have very Anti-Music industry/Illuminati lyrics. and Even in "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2" he says "We don't need no 'thought control'.

  • Großartige Auflösung der Idee - gerade die "anzügige" Passage - die sich eigentlich als harmlos gegen alles andere herausstellt.

Ich fürchte mich nicht vor Sexualität, aber vor Gewalt.

  • @Frizzle This song was not included in The Wall album because they considered it too long. It was very often played on concerts though. They shortened it and placed only first part.

  • Comment removed

  • After 25 years I finally saw Pink Floyd's The Wall for the first time without being under the influence of mind altering drugs. I don't get it...

  • where can i get the song "What Shall I Do Now"? i want it to complete my Floyd Discography

  • @Frizzlefriedeggs "discography" should entail albums, not tracks.. as should any self-respecting floyd fan

  • @Jagethemage i have the album but this song isnt on it it goes from empty spaces to young lust, i just want this track so i have everything, and i have every single album already i just cant find this song

  • @Frizzlefriedeggs do you have: "Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980–81"?

  • @Frizzlefriedeggs u should go after the live version, its even better and you can find it on "Is There Anybody Out There - The Wall Live 1980 -1981"

  • you cant handle this if your high

  • This movie is like Fantasia for those who are heavily stoned.

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart And alienated.

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart fantasia is fantasia for those who are really stoned.

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart id say this is more Fantasia for Adults... Becasue if you have never seen Fantasia Heavily stoned... you might wanna go and do that...

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart fantasia is for mushrooms, the wall is for acid

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart Try watching the whole film on shrooms i swear its an experience like no other.

  • @PeppersLonelyHeart fantasia is for the weak minded peopl

  • @PainDucky2 Give me a break. Don't bash what you don't try. I smoke pot and I turned out fine! Now stop bashing drugs before I lose control and kill you.

  • It's an extraordinary piece of art. It summarizes the origin of civilization and it's discontents. The emptiness within...
