  • "Hold On., Im not talking to you !"... Typical power-hungry, gun-toting pig mentality at its finest. PIG-FAIL. Its shit like this that makes me smile when I hear about some cop killed in the line of duty ! Kill Em All., Let God sort em out...

  • I get sick and tired of "citizens" trying to protect drunk drivers from legal check points. The police are doing a great job if you let them. Best thing those girls could do is get boyfriends and quit worrying about the actions of the police. Whats sad is they are protecting drunk drivers and everyone knows drunk drivers kill. So they are protectiing killers. STUPID GIRLS!!!!!!

  • @Iowaracefan Actually, 60 percent of DUI cases that are charged through legal checkpoints are Dropped... Because, people are not given a chance for a proper defense and police stations generate revenue via charges and bails. However, when properly defended with the facts the cases are dropped because lack of criminal acts. A SMALL percent of checkpoint arrests are actually impaired drivers. These girls are helping innocent people who drink responsibly avoid being billed for sport.

  • @Iowaracefan i agree with you about drunk drivers, but you have to also think about men and women who cant get drivers license because they are not from this country. there are people who get caught at these checkpoints that are normal people coming home from school or work, and the cops take away their car. i agree with you 100% on drunk drivers, fuck them, they dont care about others peoples life, i hope they fucking die

  • The sheriff's are the worst, esp. out in Lynwood and Comptom. Even two LAPD officers, who are more professional, cosigned ie concurred with me on that. I on Feb. 1, had my civil rights blatantly abused by them and falsely thrown in jail on trumped up charges...among other things...

  • This happened to me last night. I was about to make a right turn where there was a DUI checkpoint but this guy on the sidewalk who I thought was crazy kept screaming at my window DUI CHECKPOINT ahead.....

  • that city block youre standing on fat ass cop was paid for by tax payers. you are out of line to talk to citizens that way that, as a cop, have paid for your car, gas every week, mortgage, your kid's schooling and hospital visits and the fucking dozen donuts youve obviously been eating on a regular basis. know your role motherfucker or get slammed on your ass.

  • @emtildeath ... wtf does that got to do with protesting????? Fuckin sheep

  • I fucking love you! WOOD UP!

  • I wish she would have stood there and just held the sign up and let the dumb ass cop stand there in front of them...... HES a DUMB ASS !!! what if she went and stood in front of his dumb ass sign.... he would probably arrest her.

  • @emtildeath When police break the law in order to "do their job" it is unacceptable. The end result does not always justify the means. These check points do not yield enough on dui to make them worthwile. Any other charges are against the law. Confiscating someones car because they are drinking is overstepping their authority. A drunk cop doesn't get treated the same as any othjer drunk now does he/she?? Get real!! It's called corruption, and it's finally being challanged!!

  • @emtildeath not really, realistically thats called fate....

  • @emtildeath LMFAO! I was thinking the same thing. how ironic if one of those dumb bitches was struck by a drunk driver that was able to continue drinking and driving bc of them. typical stupid bitches, dont think before they act.

  • notice how he talk?he makes chris crocker sound like barry white.sad

  • police state inc.

  • nobody likes getting an expensive ticket ,but dont take your anger out on people that in general are doing their jobs and actually do protect us from total anarchy. go bitch about a speeding ticket or a not stopping comepletly at a stop sign ticket somewhere else.maybe you shouldnt have been driving that way.there is a reason those laws are in place and that they site you for driving in an unsafe way.if you dont care about your own safety, fine but those laws keep everyone else safe

  • how about this for an idea for all of those that think police in general are there just to harrass "innocent" people just minding their own buisness, maybe, just maybe, now bare with me here, maybe they were trying to catch drunk drivers b4 they go out and kill someone in an area where drunk driving is more prominent.maybe they were trying to catch people that are driving without licenses in an area where it happens the most.maybe they are trying to protect "real" innocent people.maybe im crazy

  • @jayocular An FBI study showed that these check points are in effective and are not a deterrent to drunk drivers.

The study found that saturation patrols are much more effective at stopping drunk drivers.

Studies that find otherwise are biased just like all the statistics from MADD.

The check points are MADD initiated. They are also pushing for legislation to have ignition locks on ALL new cars which will be release with a negative breathalyzer test.

  • @toolmkr1 so you are telling me that when those check points find people that drink and drive(cuz thay do) and they take their car, thats not helping?common sense says that that is that many fewer on the road than if they didnt catch them.my uncle is a cop and he does those check points and on average they catch between 5 to 10 drunks depending on where they set up,so your arguement that it does no good is bunk, and from a common sense stand point makes no sense. where are these studies?

  • @jayocular Personal attack is not necessary, It's not my argument.

Look into it yourself. Wiki is a good place to start.

No offense but I don't believe that any check point gets 5-10 drunks in a night. I come from a small state but there are not that many arrests for DUI on a long holiday weekend across the entire state with saturation patrols and check points.

  • @toolmkr1 in my state(california) and city, there are that many arrests,as ive said that my uncle has mentioned to me.it does of course depend on location and what night it is and of course if it is holiday time or not but either way, where im from, that is the norm.as ive passed thru several of them this last year, they usually have those cars and cars that have had other violations such as no license ore tags out(the biggest reason for getting towed says my uncle)to the side getting towed.

  • @toolmkr1 whatever the reason they get towed is fine by me since they dont belong on the road anyways. and by the number of the ones ive seen getting towed, drunk drivers being the most important,it is common sense that it is affective and dont see how wikis polls are even relevent.where is the prove theyve taken those polls and since when is the fbi even involved in anything to do with drunk driving? wiki is a pretty liberal biased site so i wouldnt trust everything you read there.

  • @toolmkr1 and by the way,for my entire state over 2011,the drunk driving arrests were close to 300,and living in a highly populated city that i do, the 5-10 arrests every weekend is a pretty conservative number

  • Scrabble Cheez-It's are so much crunchier than the original. So good.

  • these people are fucked up!! those cops are out there trying to pull people over for bogus reasons and fuck the motorist out of their money any way they can. they are just doing their jobs people!!! generating revenue for the courts and government. how else can they do it? work? please.....

  • Please be the better person and realize they are both right. If she was smart, and cared for the little child these officers saved that night from taking a drunk driver off the road...she would burn her sign and thank the them. Can she hold a sign...yes, it's America..should she... just to prove a point..no. Why are things that are not black and white so hard to get?

  • I love that in RI the courts correctly determined that checkpoints were, to the consternation of the FHWA, UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

  • Just wait until that illegal alien without a driver's license hits you. Then complain. I have no problem with the sign but don't bitch when that unlicensed driver does!

  • Piece of shit PIG. There is no reasoning with them. You go ladies, display our freedom and dont let anyone take it away!

  • Ladies thank you for displaying your love for this country and hate for knee jerk reactions. If they gave medals for this type of courage I hope you each get one. “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

  • if the sign was aimed at warning the immigrant population shouldn't it have read "punto de control" since most of 'em don't habla ingles?

  • Good job, ppl of California need to stand up against this b/s from police authority acting like big brother.

  • The Patriotic Act doesn't not allow any American to exercise any of our so called rights. The Patriotic Act is your new constitution. Good try standing ur ground though lady you should also try protesting in-front of that pigs kids school, so the pigs son/daughter can see what world their father will be leaving for them.

  • Checkpoints are a horrible violation of civil liberties. It is no different from Nazi Gestapo officers stopping you and asking for your "papers" without cause. Sad.

  • why would anyone not want cops doing this? who wants drunks out driving around? people are retarded

  • ok, well dumbasses out there.....it is not a lawful act!!! its called interferring with an official police investigation!!!! it is an A misdemenor in most states! I would have arrested her! .....or all the cops could quit and let all the druggies and drunks run the streets killing inocent people and you can bitch and cry about officers NOT doing theyre jobs!!!

  • @logansportl9 So we are not suppose to be responsible for our own safety/actions? the government show tell us whats safe for us and whats not? If you believe that cops sitting up road blocks to catch "drunks/druggies" what about the other roads they don't have Nazi checkpoints? guess those ppl are not safe? lol ur logic is flawed because that like saying; we can't go to the beach to swim because there are no life guards if one can/can't swim. Doing you job well and doing it right are different.

  • Typical pathetic L.A.S.D. pig:

Power-tripping douchebag with thumbs hooked in gunbelt and chest puffed out while bullying two young women engaged in 100% lawful activity.

What kind of so-called "man" threatens to stand in front of them and block their signs if they refuse to comply with his unlawful order. His reaction/threat (to stand in front of them) is that of a petulant toddler.

A complete waste of taxpayer money to employ this dull-witted and overpaid sorry excuse for a "man" as a LEO.

  • @ForTheDefence80 sorry bro, the girls were in the wrong. Obstruction of justice

  • @indianajonesdog there is no justice only commerce in this here land. So they were obstructing commerce, get it.

  • @indianajonesdog wrote, "sorry bro, the girls were in the wrong. Obstruction of justice."

Sorry bro, the First Amendment is the applicable section of law involved in this situation.

If you'd like to cite the section of the California Penal Code that makes holding signs notifying of a "sobriety checkpoint" ahead "obstruction of justice" I invite you to try.

BUT, you CAN'T and you WON'T.

    Bye.

  • @ForTheDefence80 justice ? How is entrapment JUSTICE ?

  • @ForTheDefence80 You can actually blame this on diversity requirements. It used to be very tough to become a cop in California, very high standards. But because these very high standards had a disparate impact, they were dramatically lowered. These was no actual bias but an effective bias. Now you really only need a fairly clean record and a pulse. Thing is you can evaluate good character but you can not really teach it to adults. Power tripping cops were likely bullies as kids.

  • i wish they did these check points for Drunk drivers... But they r ment to target people with out proper documentation, and thats why these girls are there to warn innocent people

  • i would tell him to leave if he keeps saying bye

  • haha I used to work for a concrete company and I used get a few extra dollars in my pay check when I would call my boss and report where the police were set up with the portable truck scales and locations where the cops were doing inspection sticker and registration document checks.

  • I love how the first top comment is some serious thing dissing the cop then the second one is "Lady in white is freakin hot" XD Hahahaha!

  • What is the checkpoint there for?

  • You have the right to do this. We do this in Escondido, California every night of a checkpoint for over the last year. The police first tried to move us away from the area, but it didn't work. They leave us alone now. Next time this happens, and if you get kicked out, video tape it, and send it to your local ACLU. The police/sheriff/CHP have no right to tell you to move!!

  • @jeniferleien Perhaps you should spend your time taking the fight to where it matters (to the law makers).

  • @mtefft, easy there Internet tough guy, don't hurt yourself now!

  • If I had a dollar for every video on YouTube of a cop acting like a gigantic jerk, I would be in the 1%.

  • I wish they would have asked "so officer, if you are saying goodbye, why are you still standing here?"

  • I'd Do Em.

  • FMNMA1 is an idiot, and so are these stupid ladies! How are u gna warn DRUNKS away. So stupid! So many have been killed or badly injured by stupid drunk drivers. Fuck all you that support these idiot ladies!

  • @187allracist So from you moronic comment I am guessing that you have the IQ of an amoeba and live in the basement of you parents house. Correct?

  • @187allracist Hey man, you don't need to be drunk to get stopped at one of those things. DUI checkpoint is just a loophole that they use to illegally profile people and conduct warrantless searches. You fucking liberal pussies always fall for this stuff. Next they'll be going door-to-door to check your house for guns, drugs, and illicit reading material, and I bet you'll eat that right up too, won't you?

  • Gretsch2fresh

So I take it u do have a pruis and will be voting for Hillary at nearest chance?

  • G2g

And what about the drunk drivers? Let's let them go?

  • @2011bugsy You are mad... aren't you?

  • If people didnt drink and drive then this wouldnt be a problem. If people had liscences and insurance this wouldant be a problem. yesterday I got hit by a driver with no insurance. How long do you think it will be before i get my car back?

If any of you dont like the position of the officer, go suck your hemp pipe, vote for Hillary, sign off more tax dollars for non citizens and drive your prius off a cliff.

  • @alexbekjr

Your accident is unrelated with the video, if you have full coverage it wouldn't take long to get your car back and in the meantime your insurance company can pay for your loaner.

If any of you dont like the position of the lady in white warning oncoming traffic of an illegal checkpoint, go write your congressman and or run for local government to get rid of bullshit like this. Cap tax dollars for illegal operations like this and take a nice Sunday drive with your family.

  • Ignorant, naive, insecure, unpatriotic pig. FUCK the police.

  • That bitch deserves a ticket.

  • @2011bugsy You mad?

  • @2011bugsy You need to re-learn English, wait a few years to mature, come back to this video, and post another comment.

  • Is it really that horrible to go through a check point? They take what, 2 minutes? Christ people, complain about fucking everything.

  • @EricCris10sen do you not understand the entire point of protesting these are? typical liberal. its taking away your rights, you can just be stopped for no apparent reason these stops along with the border checkpoints are unconstitutional. quit doing everything big brother wants you to do

  • @SexyKush420 I was in the military. I did what they want. You start messing with how things work and shit will go haywire, like it has been shown in the past. You think you going in there and messing with them will do ANYTHING? It won't. Follow the rules, and no ones going to fuck with you. It's not unconstitutional if they're there to stop illegal immigrants, and to stop and find drunk drivers. If a drunk driver killed your child, i bet you would want more check points set up at night wouldnt u

  • @EricCris10sen were two different people, i cant sit back and watch my rights get taken away without doing something about it

  • @SexyKush420 You're right, something that takes 2 minutes of your life, that is set up to make sure everyone is safely driving and not intoxicated, is actually meant to take your rights away. It's really hard to have an intelligent conversation with someone so ignorant and who believes they DESERVE every single one of their rights, even though I guarantee they've broken the law MULTIPLE times. So, go ahead and think you're "going to do something about it", because, in the end, you're not.

  • @EricCris10sen protesting is doing something about it....did i say i was going to go and speed through and shoot the cops? no. you can do something without being crazy and i have not been arrested multiple times and i deserve every single one of my rights. if its in the constitution you deserve it, thats what its there for. its fucking idiots like you that destroy this country

  • @SexyKush420 where exactly did I state you were going to do something crazy LOL So you served your country? So you've never broken the law? No, you don't DESERVE your rights. You haven't done anything to deserve it other than be born in this country. Until you do something FOR this country, then you deserve to have your rights. You think just because you have rights, you need to voice all of them. YOU DONT DESERVE IT.

  • @SexyKush420 And like I said, you're fucking with some low paid cops life. Someone who is doing this for a job to make a living, and you're sitting there doing this bull shit to interrupt his job. I've done checkpoint at my base, it's a shit thing to do. Just like them, I don't want to stand outside for hours on end checking vehicles and making them do all the procedures, but it HAD to be done, because we were told to do it by higher ranks. JUST LIKE THEM. Protest infront of the chief then.

  • @EricCris10sen

They work for us Eric, we do NOT HAVE TO RESPECT THEM, get it through your head. We do NOT HAVE TO RESPECT THEM, ... again. WE DO NOT HAVE TO RESPECT THEM.

Now, get this concept through your skull... They work for us, they have to respect US, not the other way around.

THEY HAVE TO RESPECT US... again... THEY HAVE TO RESPECT US...

Go write it down, so you NEVER forget it, and get over yourself.

  • And, one more thing.

Most would consider checkpoints as entrapment. This would then be considered unconstitutional. So, when you ask why these people are protesting, even a 1st grader can figure that one out.

  • @fmnma1 its not entrapment. They put up signs so you can turn off the road. That's why they do it,so if you drive right past the sign, up to a DUI checkpoint you KNOW is there, and your drunk, you probably deserve to go to jail.Same thing if your car has plates attached to a warrant for your arrest you know about,if you drive up to the cops and get caught, well DUH. They put up signs and give you a chance to avoid the checkpoint. It is not entrapment because of that.

  • @Rangerfan41

Your assuming they always put up signs when making a DUI checkpoint. Typically, they are not going to put up signs, they are simply going to set one up, without the public knowing, that's the point. If the public knew where these DUI checkpoints were, they would avoid them and any given weekend. You implying law enforcement doesn't engage in entrapment, is ridiculous. They try to bend the rules best they can, why (?) because citizens are doing the same thing.

  • @Rangerfan41

PIGS are suppose to uphold the law, not break it, and not violate any civil liberty at any time. Yet, they do every day. They also commit the most disgusting acts on society, most criminals wouldn't even consider. I'm sure you already knew this. Can I get a bit DUH for Rangerboy here...

  • @Rangerfan41

they don't ever put up "Police Checkpoint" signs, what part of the world are you living in?

  • @EricCris10sen alright then maybe thats what needs to be done, i wouldnt do these things just to fuck with cops its to get a point accross and although im sure it doesnt do much maybe itll open other peoples' eye's

  • @SexyKush420 Yup. Low ranking police can't just cancel the check points without approval. But I think we got what we wanted out of this convo and I hope you agree.

  • Lynwood Sheriffs Office cares not for your constituion, but only for their revenue generating trap (check point).

  • @2011bugsy pretty conservative mr internet tough guy. pat buchanan, now ron paul.

  • why would you want to warn people about a police check point? makes no sense your just helping drunk drivers and other law breakers

  • Typical arrogant pig bastard.

  • @2011bugsy Calm the fuck down.

It doesn't matter WHY they were nofitying people of the check point? If you've ever had to suffer through an LA check point, you'd have never posted this shit. What matters is that they were violating absolutely ZERO laws and further more were well within their freedom of speech rights. The cop willfully and arrogantly harassed and intimidated them just because he didn't 'like' what they were doing. Too fucking bad Officer, go have a donut.

  • lady in white is freakin hot

  • @JustinCase10261 but dumb

  • where in the fk did this hog zilla learn the law

  • he he heee....it seems like amerikkka the beautiful is taking her mascara off, this time for everybody not only for blacks browns and yellows....

"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." Galatians 6:7

  • Now a days cops don't fight crime!! All they do is collect revenue by giving tickets and using them cameras at stop signs...

  • The porker said he is going to follow them around and block the view of their sign. This would fall under the catagory of "official oppression" to one's constitutionally protected First Amendment rights to free speech. No wonder all you need is a GED in order to become a cop.

  • noobs deserve to ROT in hell

  • who is this hogzilla

  • Stop standing on the corner and go get a job!

  • @otherwise261 get off the computer and do some exercise!

  • @350zdemon Losers!

  • Comment removed

  • @CopsSuckJizz LOL!

  • Checkpoints are paid by tax payers.

Don't like it, get a better representative for your area, stop bitching and do something like these people!

  • Ohio Revised Code

    2921.31 Obstructing official business.

    (A) No person, without privilege to do so and with purpose to prevent, obstruct, or delay the performance by a public official of any authorized act within the public official’s official capacity, shall do any act that hampers or impedes a public official in the performance of the public official’s lawful duties.

And you have a nice day, Ma'am.

  • @gotgank You're assuming they're in ohio. Different states, different laws.

  • @luckyglasspig Laws, state to state, are remarkably similar...u may be surprised.

  • @gotgank depends, look up open carry for example It's legal in ohio, in california the gun can't be loaded, in utah it can be loaded but you can't have one in the chamber , in virginia if you're conceal carrying a gun you must open carry it in a restaurant or bar. This is just one example. I think they're in california , so I'm not going to speculate on what the law is in regards to exposing speed traps and the like. Do I agree with the ladies, yes. Is it illegal, possibly.

  • @luckyglasspig I hear what u are saying, and ur right. But look up sec 148. (a) (1) California penal code.

  • @luckyglasspig 148. (a) (1) Every person who willfully resists, delays, or

obstructs any public officer, peace officer, or an emergency medical

technician, in the discharge or attempt to discharge any duty of his or her office or employment, when no other punishment is prescribed, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding

one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in a county jail

not to exceed one year, or by both that fine and imprisonment. Cali Penal code//edited for space, look it up

  • THIS LADY PRIDE OF YOU

  • did yelling at the woman make you feel good ....oohhh i am so scared of the big bad cop..you go ladies

  • why is it neccesarry to yell tough guy leave them alone

  • that girl is an idiot bitch, let the cops do their job. They have a check point for a reason, its to catch fucking crooks. You obviously dont live in lynwood so you wouldnt know that, sorry ass white bitch.

  • THESE WOMAN ARE ONLY THERE BECAUSE OF THE DEPS BEING PRESENT EITHER THAN THAT THEY SLEEP IN COMFORT IN THEIR WESTSIDE CONDOS SIPPING STARBUCKS ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!! IGNORANT TREE HUGGERS!!!!

    GOOOOOD BYEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A typically low IQ, poorly educated Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy good at pushing around and intimidating women.

Take away that fat ignorant cunt's badge and gun and he'd fold up like a cheap card table (the card table likely having the higher IQ).

Seriously, what kind of a sorry-assed impotent bitch do you have to be to threaten to stand in front of some women holding signs about a checkpoint.

Standard power-tripping douchebag getting jollies bullying others.

    Typical LA PIG.

  • @cortchubbyy Your an idiot.

  • @noa5 It is You're an idiot, idiot.

  • Imperial and Atlantic?

  • And, the Constitution was created via argument, debate and opinion. It is in that spirit that we are debating this topic, as Americans. I do agree with the majority decision, with the limits suggested, that allow some checkpoints. As for the video, these women are exercising their rights, and that Officer did nothing untoward, but be rude. I have removed any flippant comments I have previously posted, for which I apologize.

  • LOL OKAY these girls seriously got some balls to stand against this guy.

  • Dam LASD Nazi People Flex Your Rights and film them breaking therights the said thay woulduphold they hate it..

  • "I know, the Man, Big Brother is out to get you. Calm down, it's only a checkpoint to catch those who are breaking the law, on PUBLIC streets."

checkpoint - a place where vehicles or travelers are stopped for official identification, inspection, etc.

Official identification and inspection with out probable cause and due process of law is a violation of the The Fourth Amendment (Amendment IV) to the United States Constitution. BILL OF RIGHTS is what REAL Americans bleed and die for.

  • @BigSmartArmed The Supreme Court has determined that DUI checkpoints are permissable, and I fully support the use of them. Some jurisdictions may, and have, decided not to use them. The CDC has found a reduction of 20% of dui crashes where dui checkpoints are used. You do not support the use of them. I do. Implying that those who disagree are not "REAL Americans" is ridiculous. Best regards.

  • @greenjeansmjr Supreme Court decisions do NOT supersede Constitutional Law and the Bill of Rights. It was in fact found that CHECKPOINTS were found permissible depending on State law interpretation (loophole), but not LEGAL nor CONSTITUTIONAL as a FEDERAL law. I do NOT drink ANY alcohol, I do NOT support ILLEGAL checkpoints regardless how effective they are said to be because America is supposed to be a DEMOCRACY and NOT a POLICE STATE. How about executing drunks? Even more effective.

  • @BigSmartArmed Now, why would you wish to execute drunks?

  • @greenjeansmjr

****Now, why would you wish to execute drunks?****

I don't, but if unconstitutional checkpoints are justified by the concept of "the greater good" even if it means stripping away our liberties, then hell, why mess around - just line them up against the wall and "do away". That will lower all kinds of DUI crashes. Before getting right to it we might even get all pc and soften up the public by giving prohibition another round. MP+cops at checkpoints = dictatorship.

  • Comment removed

  • @greenjeansmjr I will not leave it at that since I CHOSE to live in a FREE country. National Socialist German Workers Party also ruled that re-militarization of the country is permissible by law and that's how Hitler happens. Everything Nazis did was LEGAL by their own law. Currently local PDs are legally allowed to use MILITARY POLICE especially and DUI checkpoints. I'm a FREE MAN, I'm NOT a criminal, I do NOT want to be stopped and interrogated for NO REASON - it is my RIGHT.

  • Comment removed

  • @greenjeansmjr

Oh, since when did the way dictatorships achieve social dominance became obsolete? What, its all in the history comic books all the sudden? It always starts the same way; taking away peoples freedom while saying it's for their own safety. OK then, how about Israeli zionist right-wing likhud party, does that work for you better? Or how about this; if you happen to see a steaming pile of crap with a label that says "banana" on it, go ahead and try to peel it.

  • Comment removed

  • @greenjeansmjr Apparently you don't understand. Decision was not a majority, but 6 to 3, and that decision was necessary to reverse Michigan court ruling. Read the following quote;

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @greenjeansmjr

Chief Justice Rehnquist began his majority opinion by admitting that DUI sobriety checkpoints do, in fact, constitute a "seizure" within the language of the Fourth Amendment. In other words, yes, it appears to be a blatant violation of the Constitution. However, he continued, it's only a little one, and something has to be done about the "carnage" on the highways caused by drunk drivers.

  • @greenjeansmjr

The "minimal intrusion on individual liberties," Rehnquist wrote, must be "weighed" against the need for -- and effectiveness of -- DUI roadblocks. In other words, the ends justify the means.

So as you see, it IS a "blatant violation" of the constitution, but in decision of some judges, it is "OK" to violate MY RIGHTS because I am to be "randomly" treated as an irresponsible child who is commuting a crime and not as a responsible adult that doesn't even drink.

  • @BigSmartArmed Sadly, not all behave and must be dealt with as nearly every country does with dui roadblocks. Again, I happen to agree with them. You do not. I understand. Part of being American is such a debate as this. Yes?

  • @greenjeansmjr That's the point - America is NOT "every other" country. We have a UNIQUE constitution which defends the rights of the PEOPLE and INDIVIDUALS. If we are to abolish our own constitution one ruling at a time, soon we'll have to scrap the entire constitution while admitting that we as a people have failed to uphold it. You agree with dismemberment of our constitution, I do not along with millions of Americans.

  • @greenjeansmjr

    "oath to defend, from enemies foreign and domestic" - If the wisdom of our Founding Fathers is not good enough for some people that decide to chop up the original Bill of Rights in a way that strips citizens of their liberties - those people are domestic enemies of United States of America. As follows;

Chief Justice Rehnquist had argued that violating individual constitutional rights was justified because sobriety roadblocks were effective and necessary.

  • @greenjeansmjr

But dissenting Justice Stevens pointed out that "the findings of the trial court, based on an extensive record and affirmed by the Michigan Court of Appeals, indicate that the net effect of sobriety checkpoints on traffic safety is infinitesimal and possibly negative." 3 And even if roadblocks were effective, the fact that they work wouldn’t justify violating individuals’ constitutional rights, justices argued.

This matter is not a mere debate, it's the very real course specific actions which take away our liberties, a piece at a time. As history clearly shows, this is the very path to dictatorship and totalitarianism, and this is a matter of fact and not a matter of opinion or debate. it is simply how it works, time and time again.

  • @BigSmartArmed A Republic such as ours, governed by a democratically elected government is not really at all likely to become a dictatorship. Any swings is opinions too far to one side or the other will be corrected by future elections. All things regarding public policy is up for debate and opinion. You will always encounter those with differing opinions, and do need to agree, but again, a debate must and will happen. Being so convinced of your opinions does not make others' opinions invalid.

  • @greenjeansmjr "Not really likely" is not a guarantee from becoming a dictatorship - that is an opinion. Unconstitutional seizure and interrogation is not an issue of public debate, it's a policy executed by police and military police through out the country.

  • @greenjeansmjr It's NOT a matter of personal opinion, it's the 4th Amendment of Constitution, which does guarantee protection from dictatorship. If some people believe that American Constitution is a matter of opinion, they should look for alternative form of government in some other country.

  • @greenjeansmjr There is no argument, it is what it is. I state obvious facts, you chose to divert to personal matters. You are a type of person for whom there is no rule of law - you believe in "opinions" which conveniently justify what ever works for you. I do not hold "opinions" - I state the law set forth by our Founding Fathers. In fact you are disagreeing with American Constitution while attempting to make into a personal argument. Accusing me personally of extremism is a lame try.

  • @BigSmartArmed We as a democratic Republic are governed by the rule of law. My views, based on those entrusted to protect the Constitution for all of us, are as valid as yours are. You do not agree. I understand. I believe in the rule of law, and the Constitution. You believe checkpoints as this may lead to an eventual dictatorship. I say the opinions of those who vote, and those who decide the laws with their opinions and rulings, will always keep that possibility in check. Fair statement?

  • @greenjeansmjr Well that's the thing - the people did not get to vote, Supreme Court Justices did. In turn Supreme Court Justices are not elected by the people - they are appointed by the president and unlike other officials their term is for life. As it stands the decision to legalize blatant violations of the Constitution for the entire America was made by 6 individuals who were NOT elected by the people but appointed by a single individual. That IS totalitarianism. Did you get to vote?

  • @BigSmartArmed A most sprited and enjoyable debate this has been! I salute you, very good points you have made. Kind regards.

  • @greenjeansmjr You beat me to it! Perfect move - my hat off to you sir. I was ready for the voting angle which naturally leads to debate of given issues, it being the core of democratic process. The very process we engaged in, and from there I wanted to go directly towards the point that infringement of Bill of Rights should be debated and voted upon by the people (as intended) and not decided by judiciary nominees behind closed doors. It was a pleasure conversing with you, all the best.

  • Fat punk needs to return to the factory and learn how to talk to the public he serves. What a douche bag.

Sheriff's are taught to violate 4A rights as even if the case is thrown out, the drugs/guns/contraband are seized/misery bestowed upon a fine citizen.

  • F-ing police! .. Nothing better to do then harass people who are out having a coupe of beers enjoying themselves after working hard all week (something the police will never know about)! Get the people who can't see straight and are driving off of the roads yes, but leave the rest of us alone!

  • this fat fuck cop needs to get a life

  • Thats a reserve. He works traffic enforcement on the weekends. Next week he could be in West Hollywood doing the same work. The real Lynwood Sherriff wouldn't care about those girls and they certainly dont wear the string bikini version of a vest on the outside of their uniform. :(

  • The drivers that ARE drinking are still getting to the checkpoint both DRIVING and DRUNK. These are nothing more than UNCONSTITUTIONAL stops that generate revenue. BTW.... I seriously doubt that ANYBODY has filed an actual VERIFIED COMPLAINT against anyone getting ticketed and/or arrested for driving down the road minding their own business. Now if the drivers are causing someone else harm by not being able to operate their vehicle in a safe manner then ok.. but that's usually not the case.

  • It's kind of sad that they make Kevlar vests adjustable to fit his girth. Once you get that large, you shouldn't be doing anything other than putting undue strain on office chairs back at the station.

  • I'm drunk driving while texting and watching this on my laptop. THAT'S AMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
