Well ITS ABOUT TIME!!! Seriously!!! NEVER liked that bitch. She reminded me too much of Cole on Charmed: demon that goes good (or apparently in Ruby's case), goes back to evil and then finally gets whacked. Ironic though that they killed her with her own weapon. It never was explained where she got that knife. They are shown using it later even after she's dead.

I think it's because the actress was so weak in the role (actually both of them were). Ruby could have been a brilliant Bitch-Queen but GC and KC were neither charismatic nor playful enough to make Ruby a character you love to hate. Ruby was more drippy MallRat than She Devil. Very disappointing. Season 5 has been much stronger for her demise.

I also have an impression that as Jensen Ackles plays better and better every season, Jared Padalecki is getting worse and worse.

Quite agree - KC was the better of the two but neither were terrific. GC casting demon spells was just cringe-worthy - Lord, she was painful. The girl they have playing S5 Meg would have been a much better choice. She has that fab wicked something that both Ruby's lacked.

JA is terrific, isn't he? And so incredibly funny! Of course, he'll never get credit for it cos he's too good looking. I think JP is just up against some stiff competition there, so he looks a bit flat by comparrison.

(MC is very easy on the eye and they are a great double act). Agree about Meg2 - the way she said "We're going to Heaven, Clarence" in one ep cracked me up. Hope she stays.

I cant believe they did that to Sam, first he has to deal with the guilt that his mother died trying to protect him, then that Jess died, then that Dean went to hell, and having to deal with the demon blood, and now that he opened hell and let Lucifer out, even though none of it was really his fault. Ruby seemed so genuine, they knew Lillath was bad and too powerful, and the angels were covering up the truth, really it only made sense was Sam did, everyone wanted to go after Lillath.

Ruby was Lilith's devoted follower and would, if necessary, have died to further her plans. Lilith didn't arrive at station til later in episode after Dean and Sam were out of area so she likely wasn't in "killzone" of spell. Plus it was only Ruby's word that spell would kill demons, might just have taken them to hell or elsewhere.

i think Ruby knew they would refuse plan but wanted to gain trust and start Sam on the path of believing he needed to do bad things for a "greater good"

That's probably the one thing that Supernatural will never answer for us. What happens to the demons when they're "killed?" What happened to Lilith, Azazel, Ruby, Alastair, and all the others that were killed by the colt and knife? Are they sent to the very bottom of Hell or somewhere else? My theory is that they join Lucifer in his cage.

I love this ending, it's the boys back together again. I know they have got a long way to go to fully regain their relationship in Series 1 and 2. But I think this is like a paving stone. At least Sam knows he was wrong and Dean was right and they both apologized to each other well Sam didn't hear Dean's apology which I hope will get resolved next season with the phone mix up.
