  • Now that's the first (at least for me)!! nice, perfect duet! but the girls... only screamed for Elvis... I guess that's only fair!! lol

  • I just love this what history

  • This is actually before the "Generation Gap" between the World War II Generation and the 60's generation. Thank God. Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Ma.

  • simly now one like the king of music Elvis..

  • To all the people arguing who is better...GROW UP...Everyone has thier preference ...it's all good...Music is diferent to people.Enjoy it not argue...geez

  • love the style!! 2 cool...man, that's pretty....harmonized perfectly!!!

  • sinatra makes love me tender sound so cool

  • If by cool you mean heartless and monotonous and without soul.

  • oh fuck, whata funny guy....you clever son of a bitch.....never heard a joke delivered like that before

  • hay una versión completa de "love me tender" por sinatra?

  • Bing.

    ...That's all I gotta say.

  • Yeah.

That being said, they're both great.

  • Absolutely right, got tons of both of their stuff on my ipod

  • What makes you think you know everything.

I love them both, but their eras were not that close to each other.

    P.S. Frank rules.

  • wow...how pompous are you. If you love them both and don't see how one could...why the negativity? Elvis ripped off no one. He crossed a barrier....and the world of music changed forever. Frank was a crooner and all be it before my time..and who made you the know it all insider?

  • Haha, everyone's taking my comment the wrong way, I was deliberately talking about them very cynically just to put all the arguing over who's better into a bigger picture. I love them too! I just find arguing over them nothing short of silly.

  • that's the wrongest comment I ever read check your info before you start doing something

  • Elvis was much better at what he did than the black R&B artist were.

Listen tohis voice and watch him perform vs the voice and performances of the black artist of the day.

It had nothng to do with white or black it had to do with stage presence and delivery.

Sinatra's voice it 10 times richer and more sincere than Perry Como, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and the like.

  • Elvis is the best music artist of ALL TIME !!!! frank was nothing compared to Elvis ! Elvis soooooo HOT and Sexy !!! Frank was just plain ugly !!!!!! Elvis had everything !!!!!

  • hahhahahah

what the fuck are you talking about ,stupid fuck

  • elvis was so almost rat pack!

  • frank and elvis.. both mofo'n hotties.. not just in their time but this time.. it's hard to get a hotty... oh the genetics... where hath they gone?! and i said that!? omg i must feel faint! where has the time gone? sniffles... even in the crystal mic days.. their voices boomed like a grand piano...

  • It was John Lennon that said..."Before Elvis there was nothing" Nobody hated anybody...geeesh.

  • Lennon was soooo wrong. Before Elvis, there was Sinatra! and Sinatra did not hate anybody, he was the best, and still is. There is nobody that comes close to being as good as The Voice, The Chairman of the Board, Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra!

  • Lennon was speaking in terms of rock n roll.

  • Lennon was speaking about history of music.

  • jejeej....ELVIS IS THE ARTIST OF THE CENTURY "HOLLYPOWER2"..IS THE BEST VOICE OF ALL THE TIME...AND IS THE KING OF ROCK....AND SINATRA..IS...JUST SINATRA....BEFORE ELVIS THERE WAS NOTHING...!

  • Im not even going to argue with you. Just read my other comment again and that is my reply. Elvis is good, Sinatra is Better!

  • Hell yeah sinatra is better elvis sings from the words in his head sinatra sings from his heart and soul just like in the song he made called fly me to the moon or all the way those were the best ever

  • Fuck you. Elvis was and is the best entertainer of the century, the best singer ever, his voice was unique while Sinatra's sounded exactly like all of those crooners of his day. Hey, don't get me wrong, I love Sinatra but don't fuck with the King.

  • You are soooo right ! Frank sounded the exact same as all the other singers of his time ! Elvis had something really special ! And although I like Sinatra , I dont know how anyone could like him more than elvis !

  • Thank you for seeing it my way. Oops, I just said somethin 'Sinatra'. Let's finish this sentence by quoting the King: "Thank You, Very Much"

  • @Sazzzzyxxxx Oh please.

  • you know nothing, you have no heart,no soul

  • word, i love hip hop..and frank sinatra is one of the most talented artist of all time

  • Elvis stinks Frank is the real king!!!

  • Sintara's hatred of Elivs was no different than Elvis's hatred of the Beatles-Pure jealousy when a younger, and more talented forc comes along...

  • Elvis loved the Beatles but hated Lennon's left-wing politics.

Simple facts no Sinatra there would still have been Elvis BUT no Elvis = no Beatles.

  • Elvis never hated anyone.. I would also kick those street drugs promoters out of the country.

  • Singers....

  • Both of these guys are true icons and true greats. I consider these two as the top 2 entertainers ever. Both of them will live forever. I own this entire TV Special on DVD. Their duet totally rocked. Thank you so very much for making and sharing yet another very magical video, 5 Stars.

  • Sinatra Rules!

  • Very well done! Love it!

  • Anna, this is great, love it. Thankyou, great pics!

  • elvis could rock but Sinatra could swing!

  • Later when Frank's fiance, Juliet Prowse was sleeping with Elvis during 'GI Blues' he sent Elvis death threats... this recording actually goes on.. on the show they then cut to a short break, after the break they reprised the ending with Elvis saying 'It gets prettier every time, Frank!'. Sinatra is documented as hating this recording as Elvis mimicked Sinatra in his movements and sinatra had no sense of humour. Still the best duet ever tho!

  • Frank hated this recording because he hated Elvis, he didn't 'get' rock and roll. Frank would not have minded mimicry if it was done well or by someone he liked; he happily was roasted by Dean Martin and their friends, its on youtube somewhere

  • He didn't speak to Sammy Davis for 6 years for singing 'My Way' and saying 'Eat your hear out Frankie' afterwards. Sinatra was a hypocrite. He threatened to break legs to get Nancy to play in Speedway alongside Elvis and said kind words about Elvis when he died but he DID hate Elvis cos Elvis was sleeping with his woman.

  • Frank was not perfect. He didn't just hate Elvis because of Juliet Prowse, he hated the music and all Elvis stood for, called the music 'vulgar' and 'desparate' and 'phony'. And on that, I totally agree with him, and fair enough he said kind things about Elvis when he died (you would). But, he was emotionally insecure and a bit of a bully really. Phenomenally talented musical genius though he was.

  • Neither were perfect, sorry that wasn't what I was getting at. To be honest if you are secure in your opinions I don't think you would be a hypocrite just because someone died unless it was for your own gain - who respects a hypocrite? But both artists acheived the same levels yet in different ways and this footage is a good little documentation of a very historic and significant moment. I LOVE Franks arrangement and version of LMT yet I don't usually like his music so that's a good thing!

  • Frank and Elvis were very good friends. There are many pictures of them hanging out together. Get your facts straight.

  • @Stunatra Frank and Elvis friends? But Frank hated Rock And Roll!! He said: "It's ugly and vicious." However, I love both entertainers. And I love The Beatles too.

  • @Goedhartbros

"I'm just a singer. Elvis was the embodiment of the whole American culture."

Hardly something you say about somebody you detest...

  • I love this video between Frank and Elvis. The pictures are combined very well..Thank you Anna

  • Sinatra is very good, but Elvis is the best! I wonder did Sinatra later changed his oppinion about Rock`n`Roll...Man, he should have. And yes, this is history!

  • "man thats pretty"...well hes right!

  • Couple of talents. . .

    Great video. Thank.

  • LOVE IT!

  • I saw Elvis when he performed on Frank's show. Really enjoyed it! Elvis was breathtakingly handsome then!!! Thanks for posting this! Great candid pics' of Elvis and his Dad with Frank. :)

  • This is history! Thanks for posting.
