What people need to realise is that this shell was designed in 1981. It took 9 years for the car to be approved for sale and for them to fine tune interiors etc. This car performed incredibly well and is still a very safe car. Many cars these days are designed to pass the NCAP tests and not designed for real world crashes, plus This car has ABS (and traction control on later models). Which still some new cars these days don't have... German Engineering at its best.
I’m happy with my 94 325i, but the only performance mods are sport suspension and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.
Well I dont believe that those crash tests have the same results like in actual life. I own this car and a year ago i had an accident because the other driver passed a red light. My speed was about 80 KMH (50 mph) when i crashed on him. He had a 2008 Toyota Avensis. I crashe on his left side in the center.
Well the results for the car were bad. But i came out of it without a scratch!! No airbag only belt.
The other driver wasnt wearing belt so he went on Hospital. The 8 airbags did nothing.
Most E36 owners install a Signature Motoring performance intake kit for around 9HP gain. Cost is a mere $150 or so, best value per HP gain in the E36 line.
Install time if only about 30-45 minutes in most applications. I have one in my 94 325i cabrio.
Crazy nice sound. Most performance guys install a Signature Motoring performance intake kit for around 9HP gain in the E30.
Install time is about 30 min, maybe 45 for two left hands. LOL
Performance E36ers can start with a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. It can add up to 11HP for only about $150 and installs in 30-45 minutes - really a must for every E36 owner. It also makes the car HOWL at high end but sounds normal at everyday driving. See my videos!
if u hit todays car wit this tank(panzer, t90 ,abrams , etc call whatever u want :D) i doubt that some shitty piece of plastis will be stronger than this.

The tested car is a 1991 bmw 3 Series with only one Airbag, and its a rhd car.
Its one of the first 3 series(from 1991), but the car testet in 1997.
The e36 from 93-1997 have 2 Airbags, from 1997 to 1998 sometimes 4 Airbags and from 98 to 2000 they have four Airbags.
In 1994 to 2000, the e36 is much stronger built.
In 1990 the e36 is buit for 50-55 kmh crashtests

That hurts! Ok people, it's time we install some roll-cages, racing seats and harnesses for daily driving in our Beemers! :)
