  • Why do most of the NIN fans keep on talking about LP? And why do the most LP fans keep on talking about NIN?

So Linkin Park made a cover (NIN was one of their biggest influences) and everone has to talk stupid things about it? LP is a Rap/Rock band, and NIN is an Industrial Metal band, so... its not like im comparing two bands with the same style.

LP and NIN are my two favorite bands, and i like both versions of the song so shut up and go hate on stupid pop commercial music!

  • Damn

  • nice one

  • still a shitty crowd wankers

  • FUCK YES!!!

  • this video is tidy like a schoolgirls twat.

  • i fuckin need this for download NOW

  • thankiew camera person.

  • "And nobody got their eye poked out!" :)

  • 12 people wish they were some one else

  • Comment removed

  • haha, i can totally see me in the audience!

    Amazing show!

  • It'd be better if he changed it to "45 years on my way to hell"

  • @helikestv I think some of those recent years are less hell worthy :)

  • all covers put an emphasis on this big FUCKING whole when it sounds better without it

  • ever seen a korn show? i dont get the point why this should be intense? compare this to korns falling away from me or here to stay. sorry i am not a nin fan dont complain bout me, just saying whats in my mind

  • @MusicAddict50 u r a fucking douche.

  • @chewbacca184012 Good eyes! Looks like Hockey tape over the front pick up.But why? Maybe a quick repair?

  • @cambruoso robins always done that look back a the aatchb dvd...i have no idea why

  • @AJKHospy Well i ruled out that it has something to do with sound, because the pick ups are electronically amplified. So the only answer i found that makes sense is the tape prevents the strings from hooking on the pick ups when doing extreme bends.

  • The chorus sounds freaking amazing!! :O

  • Nobody got their eye poked out..........now what are we going to do...

  • Is pandemonium on the stage So many caracters in the band... This is hard shit.

  • @chewbacca184012 I don't think it's tape, I think that one pickup is an EMG pickup

  • My fucking GOD. Greg sounds IDENTICAL to Trent.

  • i think nine inch nails likes dillinger escape plan because their singer is trents clone

  • 11 people are lost, scared and confused Justin Bieber fans

  • @HurricaneXR

nah they must have thumbs downed it because dillinger are here and you know, everyone hates dillinger.

of course, everyone is a moron...so that figures...

  • OMG this is intense

  • DEP and NIN? Awesome. If you want more Dillinger, watch their video for "Farewell, Mona Lisa." I can't get enough of that song.

  • Was that Trent talking at the beginning? If so, it did not look like him!

  • @BowtechBandit he's like 50 now haahahaha

  • aww the memories this was awesome. i saw dillinger again the other day, it was the craziest thing ever.

  • there would be no NiN if Skinny Puppy never existed.

  • Comment removed

  • @walkdog023 are you FUCKING KIDDING ME???? Go ask anyone who knows what Industrial music is even about and how it's made you they will tell you Skinny Puppy Infulenced Trent Reznor Heavily, or you don't know that because you have no sources and your prolly just a fucking idiot and doesn't have a clue about Music history.

  • @blasterman9 Right. And NIN song "Down In It" was inspired by Vancouver's Skinny Puppy song "Dig It".

  • Greg sounds a lot like a younger Trent.

  • to have been there... my lord...

  • Hell fucking yeah. Dillinger Escape Plan!

  • Nobody, music is music and in music nobody wins, everybody just enjoy being creative and are hopefully fellow musicians

  • haha i meant in a fist fight, hypothetically

  • In a fist fight? I'd probably go with Puciato. Be a close one, though! Musically? I love them both for different reasons. Puciato had some killer vox on Errors EP.

  • agreed and agreed.

  • @IWreckon Naw, Trente. Greg has show-muscles :D

  • @poweroftheweez i think you mean in a FIST FUCK!

  • NIN is NIN

    Linkin Park is Linkin Park

  • @tacatomon

I don't understand why people compare them they covered one fucking song they should get over it

  • LINKIN PARK SUX

  • Trent is NIN

Linkin Park is that itch in your asshole you just can't reach.

  • @tacatomon

    Obvious is Obvious.

  • linkin park covering this song made me loose all respect for it.

hearing greg and trent sing the chorus to this brought it back, and made this one of my favorite video's of all time.

    FUCK YEAH!

  • @sammpaull2722

how do you lose respect for a song?

  • @sammpaull2722 yeah fuck linkin park

  • They look like they could be related from behind, actually, hahaha! Anyway, I had the pleasure of seeing NIN for a last time live this June, and I'm seeing TDEP on Friday... Both great musicians...

  • Come back when you can speak English.

  • DAYUM

  • What tha fuck is "thanks for stickin around"? Trent would be the ONLY reason to go. Modest as always.

  • Nin is great, but so is The Dillenger Escape Plan!

  • I like Nine Inch Nails a lot, but as far as live shows go, it'd take sharing the stage with Dillinger to get me to go to a NIN concert (and vice versa with Dillinger headlining a show and sharing it with NIN), and the respect is mutual between the bands. Trent's the modest legend, DEP's the appreciative potentially future legends. Legends or not, I love both bands, and they seem to love each other. Peace.

  • dio sporcaccione

  • asdffa

  • best performence of wish ever. Greg has an amazing voice and 3 guitars just dominate the stage. PURE AWESOMENESS!!

  • Is trent the one with the baldingness in the back of his head?!

  • You dont even know who was trent so stfu up douche bag. lol

  • Hahh, sorry I'm new to nine inch nails.

    Thats dissapointing that hes balding.

    Unless that isnt him.

    I wasn't answered :)

  • Who gives a shit you fool!

  • Say that to his face

  • trents going bald... we are all becoming fossils

  • AWESOME LIVE !!!

  • i love how Trent adds these other musicians to the stage and doesn't try to upstage them, he steps back lets them do their thing, i find so much respect in that.

  • Trent seems like he'd be a prick but all the stuff I've ever read about him said he's a really down to earth guy.

  • Man ive met Greg from Dillinger!

  • that grin trent gives at the end of that song... heh.. he knew that was fuckin kick ass. I got the privilege to see DEP perform w/ NIN at bonnaroo this year. :)

  • rock out

  • Hey Rob:

Was this filmed with the max resolution possible?

  • This is one of the best Wish videos I have ever seen. It's heavy and shows that trent can still throw down. Love it!

  • I love this song. Much better than the linkin park cover, not that that version was terrible, just not heavy enough

  • fucking awsome show ben made trent look like a stick, not so much on the vid but live he did

  • NIN and DEP both fucking rule.

  • Fucking awesome performance. I don't know if I'll ever get used to seeing healthy, muscled, short-haired Trent, though.

  • Well, you're entitled to your opinion - I like Linkin Park, but I don't think they should have covered Wish. Their sound is Nu Metal, and NIN is Industrial - it's a chalk and cheese situation, the two don't mix. However, that's just me voicing my opinion - I hope you you don't take me for a troll. Enjoy :)

  • poor comment.

  • The sight of Trent and Ben playing alongside of each other is pretty awesome.

  • I need to know what kind of video camera this was shot with! The definition is incredible and so is the sound quality! Anybody know?

  • the Canon 5d Mark

  • The camera is a Canon 5D Mark II, as said it was shot primarily by director Rob Sheridan

  • Canon 5d Mark II. The audio was mixed aswell though, its not just straight off the camera.

  • ilan rubin is really fun to watch play. this is a sick video. love how trent has his signature black guitar hell yeah

  • Ilan Rubin is amazing, and he's so freaking young!

  • I know! To think that Ilan is only a month older than me and he's the drummer for NIN. He's the luckiest kid in the world, but he did work his ass off to get to where he is today.

  • NiN and DEP both rock and by the way Linkin Park SUCKS!!

  • Cameraman needs some advice....like ok pan, but have a stop and start point, otherwise it just looks like you are waving the camera around like a cunt

  • The Cameraman isn't a professional camera man, it's Trent's friend and art director etc. He runs the site and all the fan stuff.

    His name's Rob Sheridan.

  • Well frankly you dont need to be a pro to keep a camera steady. Waste of HD

  • i dont think its that easy when he has to not hamper them... and its still image camera... yeah it does very good video but its much much harder to keep it steady

  • i wish nin fans weren't so narrow and opinionated about other bands that equally make good music

  • there's no equality when it comes to a different types of music, but you're right about narrowity... I know a few big fans of NIN and they're such a cunts :P

    regards,

    n_

  • Its just that NIN are really in a league of their own.

DEP are infants still if that who your referring to. I like them btw, but they are nothing compared to the superpower that is nin lol. Not YET anyway

  • what an honor for greg and the DEP Guys.

Trent should cover "Phone Home" from Miss Maschine!

  • Wow, that would be incredible..

  • holy shit, this is fucking intense!

  • How awesome for DEP to be able to play this with NIN.....well done boys!!!!!

  • this is great ! thanx for posting this

  • FIST FUCK!!!!

    Trent is a fucking treasure!

    Long live NIN

  • best one imo!

  • I think his cover is damn good

It's got a special edge for such an angry song. I like it.

Plus this song was fucking ACE when I saw it. Just as awesome as I expected.

  • I think the live version is better and more BA than the original, but that's just me.

  • I don't care for dillinger bands work, but i do like what he does here, he is very talented singer. why scream all the time.

  • he's part of a technical hardcore band. screaming is a must.

their latest album however, has a good deal of singing by greg.

  • can not wait to see them this friday down in new jersey with some buddies who are from there.

i really hope they go back on tour was never a big fan of NIN when they first came around but they just grew on me.

    any way cheers everyone!!!

  • FUCKING NICE.

  • God damn is it awesome when Greg and Trent are singing at the same time...

  • Fuckin A+ Awesome...that's what it is my friend!

  • I was going to see them tomorrow night but i cant

    : [

  • So... Tickets are useless to you..?

  • I'm seeing these guys at Reggies this fucking month!

    Dillinger that is.

  • why the fuck are people like so calm at nin shows?

  • Kids nowadays..just don't move like we used to.

Then again....at NIN shows back in the 90's ,trent and crew used to go fucking nuts on stage throwing keyboards ,mike stands around.

The light show/stage show with the film screen in front of the stage just made the experience that much more awesome.

  • I think the reason people are so calm at Nine Inch Nails shows (and this surely applies to me) is they are mezmorized.

  • i think poeple in different places act differently at hows, im from scotland and shows here are very exciting and everyone is jumping around and enjoying themselves. but i've had friends gos to shows in london and everyone just seems to stand about .... weird no?

  • They are Reznorized!

  • You can tell Greg just wants to rip the fuck out of that stage, but knows it's not his rip up.

  • fuck yeah..would have been amazing to be there.

  • fuck yeahhhhhh. thats all i have to say :)

  • wow, ..that was pretty awesome!

  • Wow! Is trent balding? Maybe that's why his hair is short now. I still love him whether he's hairless or not.

  • Greg and Ben!!! Great!

  • Also, this song is pure sex.

  • I don't understan why everyone here says that Linkin Park sucks. I agree, NIN plays this song much better (especially this version), but that doesn't mean Linkin Park sucks, right?

  • lol, yeah it does

  • how can you POSSIBLY compare NIN and Dillinger to Linkin Park? That's just astounding, IMO. In two different ways, NIN and DEP kick linkin park into submission.

  • Linking park does suck, i lost the very little respect i had for them, when they did that shit with jay Z. OMFG i want to puke when hear that -.-.

  • oh, they do suck.

  • linkin park really did use to be the most badass thing a kid could listen to.

but everything after meteora has just gone to shit.

  • Linkin park is shit man, absolute shit(and if you wouldn't mind, dont ever mention them on a NIN thread)

  • fucking lovin these vids, cheers for posting mate :D

  • this is sick

  • FISTFUCK

  • rules

  • greg is my guitar teacher

  • and josh freese is my drum teacher :)

  • that was awesome

  • lp4eva

  • i met dillinger a few days before the show wearing a fuckin nin tee

  • amazing

  • Chester's a weak bitch

  • LOL!!! You're Funny

  • So Awesome!!!!

  • This is crazy. Fucking awesome

  • Oh man, so much damn energy =D

  • FUUUUUUUUUUCK YEAH!

  • wow. Thats really good

  • very cool of trent to let ben do the lead....figured they'd trade off or something...mad respect to NIN for supporting such an unconvential artist

  • I thought this song was deep.. but man. It becomes more relevant to me every time I hear it.

I found something real. The capstone of my education was Fight Club. NiN's music should have featured on it.

I think Trent has the same message as the people/person who conceptualised this movie.

  • seeing all the emotion and dedication on stage is just amazing, along with the HD quality

  • I'm hoping that was drenched in sarcasm.

  • asshole

  • its the truth. i actualy can. at least better than this guy. sheesh.

  • Dude. This isn't exactly your livingroom.

It's much bigger. They're more excited. And 1,000s of people are watching them.

Live is different, so I'm guessing you've never been to a concert. And betting you're about 13.

  • need i say more

  • huh?

    Clarify yourself

  • dont worry, i didnt mean it offensively

  • lol I don't even know what you meant by it! I'm obviously suffering from some drug-induced memory lapse.

  • lol

  • your right so can i

  • Original version is rly better :) LP SUCKS
