On the economic issue, the US has A LOT to learn from China....
China is able to maintain a 8-9% GDP growth annually in spite of the worldwide recession is because in China, if the government wants to get something done, it WILL get done! There is no such thing as getting 200 signatures from 200 different politicians if a town needs to build a bridge, for example.
Democracy is great, but it hinders the decision making process, and in times like this, we can do without democracy!
