Hmmmm wasn't too long ago they were blaming Canada for the pot on the streets of the USA. WONDER HOW MANY GUNS WERE SMUGGLED OUT OF THE STATES TOO OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD and are killing as i type.. Legalize and start dealing with the real problems of the world.

Drugs should be legalized and monitored. Some should be available for medical purposes as many already are, and some for recreational purposes, as has been done for thousands of years.

Next to that should the government stop financing the import of drugs, or start a war on itself, for they themselves create a milieu of violent merchandising.

Most importantly, people should get REAL eduction about active substances, instead of being programmed with criminal associations.

I do find it perplexing that while alcohol prohibition happened politicians had the logic that prohibition was causing all the violence and if they legalize alcohol, violence would go down..

Now with prohibition ofdrugs, the answe is "TOUGHER TOUGHER TOUGHER TOUGHER", and the majority of ppl seem to chuckle at the mindset that if we legalize drugs violence would drop, most ppl seem to think if we would legalize drugs, drug cartels would get bigger n stonger, NOO they wouldprettymuchceasetoexist

this is totally off point but i learned in a class the other day that the govt. is not held responsible by the constitution or law to provide the public with true/correct information on anything. there is actually a supreme court ruling (i forgot the exact one) that states it very clearly. It is the responsibility of the ppl to find the right info....hence reefer madness. so when my child asks me MOTHER SHOULD I TRUST THE GOVERNMENT?? my answer will most certainly be NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Lou Dobbs does in fact, not rock. I think you mean constructive criticism and there is plenty of it. For Example, he says that ending the war on drugs, which has used billions of taxpayer dollars to fill up PRIVATE PRISONS with non-violent offenders of ridiculous laws, would be cowardice.

Marijuana a BS word for cannabis has been patented by the US government because it has nuero-protectant anti-oxidant properties that help prevent aging and cancer. I did a report in college about the bad effects of Marijuana. One of many problems I see about "Pot" is the level of carcinogens are 4 x worse than tobacco.

Just because you did a report, it does not mean that your information was credible. Dr. Lester Grinspoon set out to write a book to warn youth of the dangers of cannabis and in doing so found out that he and many other professionals had been duped and cannabis is actually relatively harmless. A study that Dr. Tashkin headed, which was peer reviewed and found to be conclusive, found that smoking cannabis does not cause cancer. Vaping cannabis is a stress reliever and stress kills.

Here is the problem, most studies I can find sight that the smoke from marijuana LEAVES are 4 X worse than tobacco..

I don't know about you, but i have yet to meet one toker who smokes the leaves, they smoke the BUD..

Also, many carcinogens come from faulty fertilizer and chemcals to get the marijuana to grow faster. Legalize this, and that problem would virtually go away.

Also, marijuana could be eaten, and brewed into tea. There are many ways to ingest marijauna, yet the main focus against it is that the preferred method is to smoke it..

And let's say it is worse then tobacco, this would be a argument on why someone shouldn't smoke it. If we want to rightfully say we live in a FREE society, it however is a horrible argument on why it should be illegal.

watch the clip again. it is very clear that he was talking about legalizing drugs as "utter cowardice". The "war on drugs" was around many decades before Vietnam, it just wasn't called "the war on drugs". The "war on drugs" is all about corrupt people making money while sending many people(mostly minorities) to PRIVATE PRISONS. Its insane that people can profit from owning a prison and lobby the government to keep certain drugs illegal or whatever to keep their prisons full and the money coming.

hey lou, it doesn't take political courage to buy into the "war on drugs". maybe the war on drugs should include alcohol and tobacco as they combined kill more people each year than all illegal drugs combined. The legal status of drugs is what caused this whole mess in the first place by drastically increasing the price of certain(illegal)drugs, thus making trafficking these drugs very profitable.

Maybe people who don't understand this concept should have their brains scanned, including you lou
