It takes 4-6 hours in a ball for carbon dioxide levels to reach 15% which is dangerous but it depends on the size of the person. Balls get steamed up before anything bad happens. People will stop having fun if they are low on oxygen so you take the kid out if he's not running. You are less likely to be affected by lack of oxygen as you are of too much carbon dioxide.
