there's so many little intricate bits to this song... Jonny's little muted guitar strums at the start of the song are super-cool... just like he did in Creep... and I know it's not really worth mentioning, but the way Phil and Colin come in ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY at the start of the song... Thom starts playing, then at EXACTLY the same time, they launch in. Then it all gets a little math-rock from about 4:00 onwards... so coooool....

These guys write music that is beautiful, musically complex, haunting, and above all, unapologetically poignant... not to mention that many of their songs aren't sad at all. IMO, they are brilliant. They are the only other band to have the track record of amazing records, the ability to take experimental music both old and new and mix it with popular music, jazz, and classical music while maintaing big stadiums and popularity. They are the only 2 bands that can do that. Look at the album Kid A and compare it to The White Album. What two bands could do that other than The Beatles and Radiohead?
