@L0n3St4rHydr0 yes it does have a higher cfm, that is because the fans they are testing are rated for lower cfm lol. bottom line, if you want to pay more then twice as much and you want %20 more cfm, can is the best
@ryanmail2004 You said: "yes it does have a higher cfm, that is becausethe fans they are testing are rated for lower cfm" What does that even mean? They are testing the same size fans! All of the fans being tested are 8" Pretty much all 8" In-line fan manufactures claim their In-line fan will produce 700 CFM give or take. But as you can clearly see, Can Fans move more air than their competition.
@L0n3St4rHydr0 Yeah my bad I misread the can as having 1000cfm somehow. The Can is actually rated a little under those other fans. I wasn't gonna leave a comment but I've been thinking about your video. Centrifugal fans are spinning the air out of the bottom holes, just like your balloon was spinning like mad, so I believe that Can is just benefiting from the mixed flow(therefore quieter), and may actually have a lower cfm then these other fans.
@L0n3St4rHydr0 (continued) another thing growers need to keep in mind is that all their fancy CAP and titan controllers cannot be used with these fans since all the controllers clip frequency and not voltage. Can charges $200 for their controller which belongs at a flea market or salvation army. So yes, spend more than double for the same flow rate, a quieter fan, the chance to throw out all your climate controls, and spend another $200 to get some semblance of control back.
Why not compare it to other name brand fans like sunleaves or vortex instead of some chinese knock off junk?
