  • Thank you for posting this. How can we help you get the word out?

  • sadly the person who runs the shelter is looked at as a gift from god... the news people are her friends. They have all seen it. Just pray that one day these animals find peace. :-(

  • What is your news station? Take the raw footage to them. See if you can get them to do something. Get inside and get more if you can.

  • what a disgrace omg look at the shelters if they are lucky to have a tub...

and shit everywhere not been cleaned in years

put the owners in pens like that... nasty bastards

  • god forbid an animal would be painlessly and peacefully euthanised because its 'cruel' but damn it, its okay to subject them to this misery???!!!

  • those animals are calling out to you "let us out!, let us be free!!!" god damnit :(

  • please,if you think it doent take alot of time and money to maintain one of these facilities, then please go help for a day.

  • I agree - but some battles are won with an army not a skeleton crew. The state refuses to shut her down and they are still not working toward improvements... its a very sad situation. Thankfully we have had a mild winter.

  • I once complained about a ferret shelter in Texas.I was told if I did not like it then I should put my time where my mouth is and donate some time making the place better.Shelters charge over $100.00 to adopt from them.I think the owner is well paid enough to clean up her own nasty mess.

  • They are NOT doing the best they can. They're not even keeping the place clean! There is feces all over the place. The least they could do is clean all that up! I didn't see one dog in this video that had food in its cage, and almost every water bail is filled with ICE. Some of the dogs were malnourished and the animals should not have matted fur. This place is terrible and I hope it gets shut down and that all the animals go to rescue shelters or nice homes.

  • it is still in running and it is doing the best it can and it is getting better. Stop critizing them and do something but instead of tearing them apart help them make it a better place!!!!

  • It is running and many many people have tried to help. You can only bail out a sinking ship until you fall over. If you think its a great place then fantastic - the world needs more dreamers :-)

  • I have been to this disgusting place. I was in agreement with no kill shelters until I went there. I actually fostered a cat from the Haven that was supposed to be pregnant (ended up not being) and I was supposed to take her back. I couldn't do it. I got her spayed and kept her. There are acres of dog kennels, it's heartbreaking, it is no way for an animal to live. I do think the animals are fed enough and did not appear skinny but I didn't see them all.

  • But she loves these animals Linda would never have suffering animal none there have been killed except .02 that had been put down because they were sufering and they could go on what you are doing is knocking down someone who is trying to make give fithly world some hope I refuse to give up hope at all

  • The video posted shows suffering animals. I have no doubt Linden (not Linda) loves the animals. Most hoarders love animals very much. Please go visit Fayetteville Animal Protection Society in Fayetteville and see how a shelter should be run. Your passion for animals should be used to make a true difference. Educate yourself on the reality.

  • are you a teen or somthing because you have that aditude like nothing is possible

  • My age is not the issue, the fact that 1200+ animals are not being taken care of is the issue. That is not my opinion alone, this is the opinion of the Department of Agriculture as they have refused to license this "shelter" the past several years. It is public record (the infractions seen).

  • They get human intercation! I volinteer there and I sosolize all the animals (ignore my spelling)

  • I find it hard to believe that one person can socialize more than 1000 animals.

  • Their in a crisis right now and are in danger of getting shut down you know what happens to those animals all 1100 of them well the depart ment of ag and they are going to get gassed from what the sheler says they have to do the animal are better off in the haven then on the streets!

  • its hard for people to understand, but keeping an animal alive in a cage without vet care, dying from heartworms, and exposed to the elements without human interaction is not better than humnainly putting them to sleep.

  • Jeez they aren't that bad I have been there and I lopve it there and I am an animal rights freak

  • go there and check the dogs in the back of that shelter that have been there for 5, 6, 7 yrs in a 4ft by 6 ft kennel and ask them if they like their lives. the only reason they are in crisis is because the owner of the shelter will not stop taking animals in. in NC you simply cannot save them all.

  • its a sad fact, but 250,000+ animals are put to sleep each year in the state. if you are going to try and save some, save them correctly and find them homes, do not hoard them in crap conditions and keep them in tiny pens for years and years. too many people do it the right way with rescue. there is a reason they lost their license.

  • What the HELL! This is animal abuse and neglect. People go to jail for just neglecting one single animal. These animals would be better off taken by animal control and finding homes, and facing the possibility of death if no home is found, rather than spending their lives lonely, cold, sick, and never cared for. Can you tell me the name of this "Animal Shelter"? And is it still in "business"? I would like to give them a peice of my mind.

  • And the sad thing is if "rescued" they'll all probably go to a disturbing shelter like the Yadkin one, seen in the gassing video. NC has got to be the worst state in the USA for their treatment of animals.
