I have one of those cars... 90 Century. It has 110K, but needs some TLC... still has nice paint, no rust (southern car), but the ignition switch went out on my sister and they ran a toggle switch (dont know why?) and then I got it and the tranny solenoid went out, then the alternator, now the car wont start... think its the starter solenoid... thinking of selling it.
@Toni7859 i have owned this rig for 10 years now, baught it for 800 buck, havent even spent 450 on it yet. rebiult the alternator myself for 60 bucks, replaced the cam with one from the farm when it lost a few lobes, replaced the starter with a used one from the farm and put in some new rear shocks for like 40 a piece. the rest of the maintanance has been oil changes and tires
@drtracernum20 - thanks. I may sell or keep mine, it will not start now, I think the solenoid is bad, but it has 110K old lady miles, so its been well cared for except when my sister owned it, but she moved to Texas and sold it to me. It dont have any rust since its a southern car and inside is nice. Then we lost key to hubcaps and had them broken off, then found the key, go figure.
rip the dome light swithches out of your "A" pillars then no more annoying chimes,in some there is a second smaller earth lead on the switch and removing that will stop the chimes aswell and leave the dome light switch operational.
i feel like quazimodo when the bells toll but i dont have a hunch.
random shit from my head i dont know what it means either.or this, if you got nothing to lose does that automatically make you a winner? i need a lobotomy
Buddy you cant kill those iron dukes. They will last forever. My 3800 has some valve knock when it cold start it. its got 210k miles on it and its not leaking any fluid and shes still squeeling the tires on the turns.
How come this 1990 Buick Century has that same hidious whine-like buzz sound from the late 80's Chevy Silverado? I thought Buick would have stopped using the buzzer by 1990. No wonder this lost to the Dodge Dynasty which had a chime.
Toothbrush? Ever heard of them?
