  • Love your hair like that!

  • How far along were you when you did this?

  • @zachsgrl04 I believe I was 9w5d in this video.

  • hi, I have a question. from when can we hear fetal heartbeats?

  • @aiueoabcdi It's different for everyone and depends on a lot of factors. It's normal to not be able to pick it up consistently until second trimester. I first found the heartbeat at 9w4d and was able to find it each time I looked since then.

  • just to say THANKS! for making this video. i'm 9+4 and with your help was able to find the heartbeat today! the trick was tilting the wand up towards my belly rather than down behind my pubic bone - this was counter-intuitive as i thought baby was down below - anyway, it worked, thanks! i think i'm addicted :-)

  • SO CUTE! (the heart beat) Thanks for sharing!

  • Oh okay, I was just wondering, because I was running out of my ultrasound gel, and didn't know where I could find something like what you had. What isle can I find this gel?

  • @NotoriousBebe It's usually sold next to the sunscreen.

  • hi kelsey quick question for you, what kind of gel are u using? is that hair gel?

  • @NotoriousBebe No, it's aloe vera gel.

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Kelsey your video helped me soooooo much! I was getting worried about not finding my baby's heartbeat. I took your advice, and I found the baby's heartbeat! Thanks so much!

  • @NotoriousBebe Yay, I am so glad you were able to find it!

  • Hey Kelsey thanks for this video it really helped me and dh! Just wondering do you think it's safe to use the Doppler on most days? I love hearing the heartbeat too!

  • @ringoStarrism I've read some conflicting information about using it excessively/for long periods of time. I use mine once a day and just listen for a few seconds.

  • I will definitely be getting one of these with my next pregnancy! With my 1st, I was constantly worried about how he was doing in there. Totally would have saved many worries and stresses if I would've had a doppler at home! :) Good review, Kelsey! Congrats to you!

  • I LOVE your hair Kels! Awww, such a wonderful swooshing noise :)

  • Could your hair be MORE FABULOUS!? Love!!

  • I have the same doppler and I love it! I use aloe vera too, haha. btw your hair looks super cute cut like that.

  • Awesome tutorial!! amazing to hear the different sounds the doppler can pick up. It helped to hear the differences so I won't be so confused when I try out mine. Can't wait, you make it sound so easy and cool. I won't be able to put it down I'm sure :) and FYI, I bought mine, same brand, at Fetal doppler.net for $52.95 w/ free shipping. Thanks again!!

  • Great video! I loved when you found baby, such a wonderful sound :) I would be tempted to listen all day long!

  • ahh im still just so happy for you!!

  • the gel you bought, what department did you find it in?

  • @LYDISANC21 I found it with the sunblock as aloe vera is commonly used on sun burns.

  • awe.... So cute!!!

  • Where can I purchase this doppler?

  • @NotoriousBebe If you Google "Sonoline B Fetal Doppler" many websites will come up to purchase from.

  • Aww, your face when you found the baby's heartbeat! :-) Love the hair by the way!

  • This was a great review. I tilt the wand upward to hear better too. My babies heart rate is rapid too and there is just nothing like that sound to ease your worries. Kinda like baby saying "it's ok, I'm right here".

  • Beautiful hb

  • I have that same doppler. I could not find her beat tell I was around 14 weeks . 10 weeks was too soon for me . Is it true that if you a bit on the chunkyer side its harder to find?

  • @erubio070707 I'm not sure, but that makes sense. I know that the location of your baby and placenta have an impact on when you're able to detect the heartbeat by doppler too.

  • Very cool review!

  • awww that was such a nice review, whenever you can make another review I love how you take your time to explain everything!

  • Great review. I love your haircut :D

  • That's the one I have glad you like it.

  • What is the difference between the blue and the orange doppler?

  • @FifiMojo I'm not sure as I've never seen an orange one. I have seen people that have either a blue or pink label on theirs, and when purchasing from certain sites you just have a choice of picking one or the other color-wise. There is no difference in them. (This one is blue.)

  • @plus1please Ah ok, thanks for getting back to me about it!

  • Aww this made me smile! I am so glad your little baby is nice and healthy in there! You so deserve this! When I was borrowing Brittany's doppler I used it every day and it was so nice to be able to hear the baby. I can't wait until you start feeling him! Yes that's right I'm team blue for you. :D xoxoxo

  • Thanks for the review Kelsey! This will be such a great vid to refer to for first time doppler users - great idea! I like using aloe vera as well - not to mention that it is great as extra stretch mark prevention!!!

  • Aw I just love hearing that heartbeat :)

  • I sure hope I can talk my husband into buying one!

  • The swooshing and heartbeat noise is actually your placenta. :) That's how I can find my baby's heartbeat too (I'm 12 weeks 2 days today), and I just move slightly down and there is baby. :) Isn't it so much fun!? Thanks so much for your review. I got my doppler (Hi BeBe) off of Craigslist.

  • @3MenandaLady06 Ah, that makes sense that it what it is and why baby is always close to there.

  • so cool would love to have one soon! love ur hair cute!

  • thank you, really interesting video !!

  • Awesome video :)

  • thanks for the review very interesting

  • If you have a belly ultrasound the picture they print is reversed. Baby looked like he/she was on the right but is really nice and cozy on the left. The vaginal ultrasound is the one that produces the accurate photo. Ive never been pregnant but I learned that from gabeandjess's channel here on YT. You and her are both 9 weeks.

  • @rachellv1 My ultrasound was vaginal because I had it so early on to check for ectopic pregnancy, so it was a true image :) It's amazing how all of that works!

  • I purchased one for $45 on eBay at 10 weeks but no longer use it since my little girl started moving. I really enjoyed using it though!

  • depending on how early you are in your pregnancy, it will be much slower than at 9 weeks... so it can come in around 120 and still be the baby! I say this from experience... my baby was around the same spot for 3 days, and now I can't find it anymore, if it was an artery, it would still be there lol. I was really lucky that baby was closer to the top when I was checking, but has moved in deeper so I'll have to wait a bit longer to be able to find again unless baby moves up again.

  • @xpoeticxtragedyx Usually, a heartbeat in the 120s in early pregnancy is very early and it wouldn't be detectable by doppler yet (just by ultrasound). Our was 124 at 6 weeks 5 days, but now it's sped up lots which it usually does around this time. A lot of people get confused when they see that 100+ number because baby's heartbeat early on is at that rate. If it sounded like the quick clicking type noise then obviously it was your baby! I hope he/she comes out soon so you can hear again!

  • @plus1please it was around 123 at 6 weeks... it wasn't the swooshing, it was a beat like a heartbeat... my doppler has a little heart outline and when it picks up a heartbeat it fills in... the day before it was at 114, I have videos of both, the 114 sounded questionable because of how slow it was, but the 123 was quite obvious that it was the baby... I didn't post that one on here though.

  • @xpoeticxtragedyx My doppler has the heart icon too, but it comes up when it picks up any noise that it can time as "beats" per minute. I've never heard of anyone finding their baby's heartbeat on doppler that early and always thought it was impossible before at least 8 weeks. Interesting!

  • @plus1please there are quite a few videos on here for 7 weeks... one sounded like the swooshing you picked up, but the others are the heartbeat... I hadn't seen any earlier than that until I found mine... first time for everything I suppose lol... it's freaking me out not being able to find it anymore though.

  • Definitely going to buy one when I get pregnant (which I feel will be soon lol). Thanks for sharing Kelsey its such an amazing sound.

  • @Erica020911 It will be soon! :)

  • What a great video! Now I def. want a doppler machine :)

  • Great review! P.S. Love your hair in this video! :)

  • Best sound ever! Cannot wait to hear that sound again in my belly! :o)

  • The swoosh and static may be the placenta. That lil heart beat is a wonderful sound I'm sure!

  • your uterus is growing quickly too so it might not be ALL bloat!

  • this is a great review and you look awesome in this video. it's great to see your smile when you hear babys heartbeat. i'm so happy for you =)

  • Ah! Awesome! Thanks! Now I want one!! :D
