@theRCRchannel yeah, hardly anyone picks up on that, or that she's singing "we were height to height, breezin' by." The "you spat in my eye" part refers to a bicycle-drive-by Kim experienced when she was 12, riding her bike in Huber Heights. Pretty sure the rest of the song is about how Kim & Kelley started out roughly the same as drug users, but then Kelley's use surpassed Kim's. Kind of melancholy, kind of twisted.

I remember looking for this video about 7 years ago and this was the exact version that was available online at the time. Whoever uploaded it here probably just found that copy, downloaded it, then posted it for everybody. And, if you look, this must had been recorded on VHS from MTV when they still played alternative music like this (early 90s).

The B-sides you should definitely buy. If only for the brilliant "Manta Ray". And of course "Dancing the Manta Ray", the UK surf version of "Wave of mutilation" (unbelievably fantastic) and the great Kim Deal on vocals track "Into the white". And let's not forget "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)". I actually consider this compilation album as good as any regular Pixies album. It's that great. Go buy it! Now!

My 15 minutes of fame was MEETING KIM DEAL in the lobby of the Ventura Theater, in Ventura, CA, before a Pixies show. She introduced me to Joey and the drummer (who she called a dweeb). Frank Blank-Francis was attempting to park a mammoth old Cadillac convertible during all this.

She was as awesome and cool and real as you'd imagine.
