  • This video does have a special meaning to those who have taken that highway 8,000 freaking times.

  • Nice video .How fast were you driving?

  • spent the first 21 years of my life living on that stretch of highway. Great video, and the Bridger Creek Boys are amazing. Makes me wish i hadn't moved to the big city to be in the navy and see the world after all.

  • Cool video dude, coming from someone who has lived in Missoula and Bozeman.

  • so cool.

  • Ive done that drive before on my way back from Seattle......as an east coaster thats a distance my friend. Bozeman and Missoula are far apart by eastcoast standards.

  • two crappie white racist elitist liberal towns that are full of themsel#1 in suicide, racism, anti native , full of drunk driver deaths, meth use

  • @bluepastry uh? have you ever spent time or lived in either?

  • @bluepastry That is some funny shit man!

  • I'll be driving from Virginia to Dillon Montana this august. I'm so excited

  • Horrible version of wagon wheel

  • I may be making a drive like that on a daily basis if I get into MSU's Earth Sciences Masters program. My girfriend's applying to University of Montana in Missoula so we figured we'd live somewhere in the middle like Butte or Helena. Not looking forward to a 3 hour daily commute, especially during winter...

  • Good luck to you and your girlfriend. I went to MSU and my oldest brother went to UM. Both are very fine schools. Have fun with the drive.

  • What a great video. Like a number of Montanans - grew up and took a lot of what was "ordinary" for granted. Loved growing up in MT and the years at MSU. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  • Montana has never been the same since the economy crashed in 88... the some moron local goverment.. leagalized gambling.. just ruined everything..

  • I have made this drive more times than I can count. And I love this song! Cool video.

  • I never get tired of the scenery of Montana.

Makes long road trips worth every minute!

  • Thanks for this video. I grew up in Anaconda but consider Bozeman my real home. Been living in exile on the east coast for too many years. Your video made me homesick all over again.

  • I love this video! I've taken that trip so many times. I'm stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC and whenever I miss home I dig up this video

  • Who would think, a vid sped up of you driving from Mizzoo to bozo would be interesting.. but it was! lol... good shit. i will look back at this when i move back to denver and say I USED TO LIVE THERE!!! lol, I DROVE THAT DRIVE... haha

    memories =)

(i do have to say... colorado is prettier in the mountain areas) and one of the only prettiest places than colorado that i have been is Japan. mt fuji is an amazing sight.

  • great vid. thanks so much. i was born in missoula and grew up in bozeman...as a child of hippies, we traveled this often. makes me feel like a kid all over again =o)

  • i went to college in missoula. i live in billings now. i'm heading to missoula next weekend.

  • i go to school in missoula and also live in billings. Just got back froms school on wednesday. this drive is fun to watch. especially if your from montana and know where your at and when you are there :-) i like this video.

  • By the looks of it, you were speeding the whole time.

  • Beautiful time of year - my wife and I both went to school in Missoula and now live in Oregon. Needless to say, we know the are well and miss it a lot!!

  • Lol it is so weird seeing this road on the internet. We go down this way so many times...couple dozen times a year.

  • Awesome video... I made that drive a couple times last summer, as I have relatives in both Bozeman and Missoula. The best part is the drive through the Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forest by Butte. On a similar note, I made a trip from Many Glacier to Bozeman going 89/287/90 in under 5 hours, going at about the same speed as the video... I was told it was a new state record.

  • Did anyone ever pass you or were you the only one doing the passing?

  • I was passed by a white truck around 4:13 in the video and then I passed that same truck at around 4:22.

  • haha, I went and watched it. I like your video! I drive between Missoula and Billings every summer. Keep up the good work!

  • I believe going 10000 miles an hourn is illegal. lol jk ive been on this road tons of times and it never gets old. great video

  • i loved montana, then i hated it, then i moved...now i miss it. true story

  • Sir. You made my year.

    Thank you.

  • Awesome,we hope to move there by 2011 from FL...

  • nice video john

  • thanks for posting this video! awesome!

  • montana is paradise to me ....

  • im in germany right now doing a foreign exchange year and it really made me miss beautiful montana seeing this video. I used to live in Hamilton and commuted to livingston a lot so i know the drive...crazy seeing it go so fast...thought the song was a good touch too.

  • three of us posting did a MT to VA move. cool.

  • right on, just another day in paradise. i know the drive and i know the song and i've known them together:-) i'm living south of roanoke(VA) same as in the song these days. thanks for the memory. good summer

  • thanks for the lift

  • i lve this video i was in missoula a few years ago and family lives in turah mt so i was looking if i could see the exit

    thanks brings back good memories

  • Great video!!! =) It's fun to see the drive go so quickly instead of at its normal pace. Haha! Makes me miss summer, though ...

  • Thanks, you made me homesick! Now do one South through the Bitteroot Valley, Wisdom, etc. Good times.

  • very cool. especially when you drive the drive, if you know what I mean, and I know you do.

  • i was over in Missoula in the summer. its a wonderful little city!

  • Cool vid! I'm from Zoo Town (Sentinel '84) and UofM grad, but Bozo's always fun...AND I lived in Santa Clarita for years...now in Spokane thinking of moving back to Missoula and opening a bike shop. Thanks for filming the drive!

  • montreal here, loved the drive and the tune, love it!

  • Nice video! I'm from Missoula but went to school in Bozeman. I've since moved away to California, this is a great video to have. Thanks for this!

  • Thanks for the comment and view! I am in the same boat as yourself. Graduated from Hellgate and MSU and now live in Bakersfield. Have a good one.

  • hey i got to hellgate! haha im a sophmore but yeah it's pretty cool to see my area on the net :P

  • Wow...what a cool idea!! Now how long of a trip is it in real time? on the video, 5 minutes 46 seconds isn't too bad, huh?? :o)

  • It's about 2 and a half hours.

  • TruthCheck is right about the time. Missoula to Bozeman along I-90 is about 2.5 hours. Thanks for the view.

  • Doing the math... The video is sped up by about 26 times the normal speed.

    Proof:

    (46s + 5min*60s/min = 346s)

    (2.5h*60min/h*60s/min = 9000s)

    9000s/346s = 26.0

  • Damn your car is fast. That thing corners like it's on rails.

  • I moved to VA from Drummond 12 yrs ago. You have no idea how cool this is for us who made that trip 5 or 10 times a week to get parts for the swather, take music lessons at the UofM, see a movie at the Wilma, or risk food poisoning at Hermees...Ah, good times, good times...

  • Beautiful idea. Excellent video. I moved to VA recently and was feeling a little nostalgic, so I searched for Missoula and your vid came up. Thanks!

  • lovely...

Its such a nice drive from Missoula to Bozeman. :)

  • Such a relaxing drive. So much better than going through Helena.

  • wow thats beautiful

  • Love it! Feel like I'm driving it myself! go Griz!

  • Man, this is the best one yet. Wish I was in that passneger seat enjoying the scenery first hand listening to some Old Crow. (good version of the song by the way)

One more week and I'll be heading the other way up the 90... can't wait.

Glad you had a good trip and lots of sunshine!

  • Thanks. I am a big fan of this song. I've heard a few versions from other bands but the original is still the best.

  • dude that was cool. for a missoula guy in san antonio tx for the last 5 years, it was great to see home! i have drove that route at least a hundred times.

  • Thanks. I just relived the horror of car sickness AND the loonnnggg drive to bozeman. Go Griz!

  • have made this drive on 90 way too many times. great choice of song.

  • Should of stopped @ Sagebrush Sams Good titty bar

  • Driven I90 many a times. Could do it in my sleep.
