I'm 13 years old, and I love this band. When I was 8 I had a shooting day at school, and I was late because I wanted to hear that song. Around this time I didn't find the disc and didn't find the song, or heard him until yesterday. I went home and looked at the lyrics of the song. I didn't think that this song is so tragic, but is definitely one of their best songs. I LOVE GENESIS.
Its funny how people argue over peter and phil as singers. I've been listening to Genesis for 25 yrs now and still dont even know the complete lyrics to one song. That is because the music is sooooo efffffing great!! My mind continually bypasses the lyrics and zones in on the music...be it the bass, keys, drums, or guitar.
@lyticityl That's pretty cool that you experienced Genesis that way. I memorized all of the words to many of their albums. Harold the Barrel I memorized when I was 12 and that was 1977. But we would listen to a song, the move the needle back, and listen to only the guitar....then move the needle back and listen only to the bass...so I guess we listened to Genesis in the same fashion of your listening. Thanks god there were no X-boxes back then. Just prog rock and tree houses.
incredible music, played by great musicians...Tony is just fantastic here (well..as usual)

My favorite song from "Nursery Cryme". Hard to believe this LP is 40 years old! Progressive-era Genesis never goes out of style!
Bravo, Peter, Phil, Mike, Tony & Steve!

Genesis were always present in my life... they have a good folk sound rather Victorian stylish music!
