I got a 5b clone with a 29 cc engine from a company called 'Revo Sports'. The car is great, but the original driveshafts kept snapping in half from the strain. Once replaced with original HPI's, the problem went away. Now the front wishbone i broken, but have already ordered HPI replacements. Over time, my car will be all HPI :-)
I got one three months ago, I am very glad with it, watch my little vid of it in the beach, all parts of hpi are valid for this car, but need full cheking before use it!!!!
hello did you have any pullstart problems i got king motor baja it started first time great but kept bogging down on full throtle stop it leaned it out when i tryed to start it & the pullstart broke it fell to bits wot a mess
yes i have a clone and everything hpi fits .. saved 1000 dollars buying one too.. ebay is the best place type in 23cc in a search there ..goes as hard too so ner ner martijnjanmaat ..!!!!!
@LocutusNL bajas dont need breaking in its like a weed eater weed wacker what ever it is its the same engine (2 strokes) you dont break in a weed eater so niether do u with the baja
@ashnbrandon1 yes you do weedwacker engines are not the same at all they all need breaking in all engines do if u got a weedwacker and reved it full throttle the first time u start it it will lose compression so will this, so will a car engine, so will a lawnmower engine, so will a plane engine, (non turbine) and so will a baja engine
I've seen a few of these cars at my local rc store , they all had broken rims , suspension parts , and so on , but the most annoying thing has to be that the HPI parts just don't seem to fit .... threads and so on are smaller and thinner witch has to be bad my advice : BUY THE ORIGINAL :) check out my vids of FG and CARSON rc cars esspecially the new 4WD gas devil
its still a fake regardless of how you justify it. and I wouldn't say EVERYONE disagrees with him. I wouldn't buy one simply due to the fact that your not getting ANY support from the manufacturer. Same reason I don't buy high-end tube audio from china; yeah it sounds great and looks quality, but your on your own once you open the box. Looks can be decieving too. I would not be suprised if the use the same exact tooling to make the car but I doubt they are using the same resins for the plastic.
Yeah well it arrived, and its pretty good considering the price, but i feel sorry for the average kid or someone who bought it without knowingg someone or having extensive knoledge themselves on the product.. the shims on the back wheels were facing the wrong way, hence the wheels were pointing outwards, some bolts and things were on backwards also, i only know this because my friend pointed them out to me. it needs a good going over, but the HPI parts will fit and its half the price hmmmmmmmm

hey man, did you (fine)tune the engine or anything? My baja x seems a lot slower but I am still braking her in...
