Sadly they are as extinct in the side of the pond as well - modern trucks can achieve a compaction ratio of 6:1 as opposed to the Revo's 4:1. They all but disappeared from Britain by the early 1990's. Their French cousin, the Robopac, is still made over on the continent by SEMAT.

I have a corgi model of a Biffa Revopak. IT can hold quite a bit, but it's not very good at packing or unloading.

Westminster Council used to have nothing but Revopaks back in the '70's and '80's. Modern dustcarts are so boring :o(

i saw a refurbished revopak in a car museum in north london. only it didnt have moving parts :(
