Yer, but its better than rotting away in a hole in the ground. Until they eventually dig you up after 50-100 yeras when your lease expires then they cremate you with others and blend you with others then dispose of you in a land fill.
in connection with previous comments regarding the time it takes for cremation. it is indeed on average 90 minutes give or take. regardles of what size coffin is used. the coffin is combusted in a relatively quick time and all trace of it is consumed within the intense heat. the amount of body fat has more infulence on the cremation times. infact an 'over weight' body can be cremated faster due to the fact that body fat helps raise the cremation temperature by its own combustion.
crematoria in the UK require that the body be contained in a suitable combustable and impervious container. as seen in the video the coffin is 'charged' into the cremator and it would be impossible to do so without a coffin. cremation funerals in the UK often take place at the crematorium (certainly the committal) so out of dignity and respect a coffin must be used. coffins in the UK range from as little as £120 so its a myth that funeral directors make huge proffits from the coffin.
Obviously, the adulteration rate or percentage must be high....something I never thought about. I wonder how many people wonder when they are given their loved one's ashes that a certain percentage of those contents are someone else's ashes?
I remember going to a funeral a few years ago, they were doing cremations... it was a bit windy and I got a gob full of the smoke from the chimney... It stank terrible!
@Williamz177UK Typically a thinner, less decorative type of casket made for cremation is used. It can be inserted into a fancier casket if there is going to be a service.
@Williamz177UK So What about steel handles? I heard the old Irish puts the carpenters tools in with the carpenter and guns into that of the hunter.... I hope they know whats best for the cremation facility before choosing to cremate their loved ones.
@Clapboardstudio my bros biological dad was cremated.....and i saw him before he was cremated cause we could not efford the coffin and shit like that so now his ashes are at my grand parents home and we will get them soon.
That makes me feel really horrible i dont know why i clicked it and i know its a part of life but i dont really want to know what will happen to my body after im gone or what has happened to members of my family, its really sad and quite disturbing
how are the ashes suposed to look? My grandma's is suposed to look like sand or somthing like that. So do all ashes have the same texture and color or what? Thanks! ( me and my mom have been wondering for awhile)
@puppy525525 actually, most the time they are greyish, and typically look like kitty litter, which is small bone fragments, however there is ash too. Sometimes the cremains may be very white, or dark grey.
@Coveiro619 how is the job market? my uncle was saying its a good way of living, but hes worked at the same one for over 30 years, so he said he really couldn't say. and would u recommend the job for anyone?

why the coffin?? i think is better without the coffin just the human bodie, or this way the funeral home make more money selling the coffin also
chicoveneno1 1 month ago
@chicoveneno1 Its just more respectful. But there are countries they get the bodies out of the casket and put them in a wooden box.
MartinaMovies 1 month ago
@MartinaMovies I know is true but i think will be better pure human ashes instead of coffin ashes also but any way thanx

@chicoveneno1 Yes I can imagine, maybe you can choose that? Of family does?

ukchris64 2 months ago
There is no ashes. The stuff you see in the urn is just a bunch of ground up bones.

they put the coffin to burn with the body and all, so one gets ashes with wood. right?

@PerlitaHabanera
i believe you would just get charcoal similar to that of if what you would get if you and a bomb fire or from your wood heater
