Although the guns and stuff were historically inaccurate (According to others in the comments section), i saw the movie on Film 4 last night and i thought it was great. The guy at the end got to go to heaven and that cheered me up because when he found himself in the cave i thought it would be a depressing ending =D

The group of British soldiers are already dead upon entering the Purgatory, The Trench. Here they live out a nightmare while being tested of who is going to hell and who is going to heaven.

- The interresting thing about this is that some soldiers in WWI might have experienced almost similar things due to the Poisonous gas.

Seems like a nice movie, but just one thing that is a little weird and unprofessional. They use Lee Enfield rifles, that is correct, but those they carry in that movie, is the world war two version. It has a little longer barrel than the Small Magazine Lee Enfield. Sorry, I just wanted you to know

i saw this movie a coupel timea and i got evry confused, but becides the (hellish zombis) and the scene from (when barb wire attacks) lol =D this kind of stuff happened, my great grandfather went threw this shit and before he past away on feb 2, 1943, he told my grandpa the real story on how his whole squad died,basicially the same shit that happened in this mvoie ahppened to him and his men, no zombies though lol. but yes its sad especially when u have veterans in ur family.. Idea and atmospehere of this movie is really original.. Never seen something with this kind of idea before, but believe me; it really WORKS! Certainly worth of watching IMO...

There should be a sequel to this to explain what happened to the German soldiers in the trench. There are three left alive in the main section when the british unit turns up and then one for some unknown reason alive buried in mud. I'd like to know what happened to the rest and the three that were barbed wired alive. I think it would make a good sequel.
